Without a doubt one of the best Motel 6's that we have ever stayed at. The staff were very friendly as well as courteous, which made the stay that much better. The rooms were small but clean and tidy. Also the town of Mammoth Lakes was nice, as the weather was cool. We would, without a doubt not hesitate to... more

I have to agree with most of the earlier posters. This place is basic as far as room amenities - it's a bring your own shampoo and facial tissue kind of place. But the room and grounds were in reasonably good condition and quiet. The location is quite good as far as being central to the town of Mammoth Lakes.... more

This was my second time I stayed at the Motel 6 in Mammoth. I go to mammoth for the skiing/ snowboarding, not looking for a luxurious weekend retreat. (For that I go to Vegas or Palm Springs). I'd dare to say that this is the most expensive Motel 6 in the country. However, this is the cheapest accomodation you can... more

This Motel 6 is in a great location, close to restaurants and shops. There are no amenities such as shampoo, hair dryer, or even a clock. However, it was adequate for the two nights we were there. Even though the motel was crowded, the room was fairly quiet. I agree with other reviewers that you may not be able to... more

This is typical for a Motel 6. The Mammoth location has really tiny rooms. The ones in Bishop are bigger. We paid $72 per night (not bad for December). $100 for January weekend is a little steep given the quality you get. The rooms have 2 queens and sleeps 4 comfortably. If you try to squeeze in 5 or 6,... more

This is a Motel 6. The building does not have charm, and your room won't feel fancy. (Many more expensive motels in Mammoth Lakes are just as charmless) But, if you're just there to ski all day, come home to nap, go out for dinner, come back to watch TV and fall asleep, and then get up at the crack... more

07-09-04 We used Mammoth Lakes as a stop over from (unbelieveble) Yosemite to Las Vegas. We visit Bodie State Park and that was also beatiful. We stayd in the motel6 one night and that is enough, rooms are clean, small, with a fair price. This was the only Motel 6 we had on our roundtrip and overall I prefer the Days... more

I stayed at Motel 6 in Mammoth Lakes only once. I was attracted by the low price. I spent a week at the motel and everything was fine until the weekend came. On Friday and Saturday nights, I couldn't sleep because of the busses loaded with people (mostly kids) were arriving in the middle of the night. The agitated kids... more
