Motel 6 is there to offer you the basics. A clean hotel room with a bed or two in your room, a clean bathroom, and a television. That is it. If you need more from a hotel or plan on spending any length of time in your hotel room then this is not the place for you. As it was... More

While we only stayed two nights here I wouldn't recommend the double room for any more than two people, was very tight and the newly renovated rooms are still very dated. Mammoth Lakes however was beautiful and we'll worth the visit. Highly recommend the Italian restaurant across from Motel 6, great food at very reasonable prices.

Don't stay if you have more than two people. The newly renovated rooms are left to the imagination. Barely had room for our luggage and to walk by each other. The towels were not enough and husband had to go to front desk to ask for more (we were a family of six). There was only A BAR OF SOAP.... More

We choose this place among all the overpriced places in this overpriced town because it had air conditioning and their rooms had recently been remodeled. The remodeling is very smart for the tiny rooms, very IKEA or bargain European. But with all the smart remodeling the room had a strong moldy odor. Check in was odd, borderline unfriendly: just give... More

Stayed at Mammoth Lakes before and after a backpacking trip in the Sierras. Was unpleasantly surprised that the motel didn't supply shampoo-just cheap bars of soap. Sheets were ROUGH (I thought perhaps sandy?) but my wife assured me they were clean. This motel is always booked full, so they don't really have to try and it shows.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms were really small, but clean. It has enough parking space, staff really friendly. About a 10 min. walk to Mammoth village. Great bakery across the motel. Also great place to visit Yosemite. We have enjoyed our stay here.

If you just need a bed to sleep in, this is not a bad place for the price. It is in a good location, accessible to everything. The Motel 6 almost always seems to be booked. The beds were not the most comfortable, but for the price, it worked for a few nights. The room was clean & maintained and... More

My wife and I stopped here recently for a night on our way through to Yosemite. Having stayed in Motel 6 accommodation many years ago, we were pleasantly surprised how much they had improved. Hey you still don't get a fridge and an ice bucket is the drink cooler, but the room was a good size, plenty of space for... More

A lot of money for a very small room, 2 beds cramped together that you can just about get round. Shower was equally small. Room was otherwise adequate and did have fridge and microwave. No breakfast facility was offered.

I have stayed in this Motel 6 several times in the last decade because it's one of the few not-high-priced places in Mammoth Lakes that has adequate air conditioning. That was true for this stay as well. Mammoth Lakes lodgings are unique in needing entirely different ratings for the winter ski season vs. the summer hiking season. Most of the... More
