Our night at Motel 6 was one of the worst we've ever had. We decided to ski an extra day so booked at Motel 6, thinking how bad can it be?! It was a disaster! It was a very small room. We had to take turns passing and we're both slim. The restroom was especially tiny - tub was large... More

A better motel than it was a few years ago. The front desk staff is friendly, and the room we had was redone in a modern style. However, there were a couple things that really annoyed me about my stay, hence the 2-star rating. First, management clearly has no interest in saving on their utilities bill. Blankets are very very... More

I understand that it was a peak season to raise the fee for a room but we'd still expect a decent working facility. :( The first tragedy was when the heater won't turn off. I was scorching hot inside and I asked one of the staff to help out, she came but never returned??? I just figured to just set... More

This was my first Motel 6 in over 20 years. In my formative years while hiking and exploring Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado (and drives from the West Coast to the Midwest during Christmas), Motel 6 was my go-to motel: an inexpensive bed and shower. They varied by location; some much better (or worse) than others. This location had... More

This is a better, refreshed, renewed Motel 6. Faux hardwood floors and new bathroom fixtures are a great improvement, giving a fresh, clean appeal to the room. The bed provides ample support for an evening's rest and the TV is OK. However, the bedding itself is rather shabby and, on the whole, I wish I'd brought a bedroll. The worst... More

The price was good, but it doesn't wi-fi. So you go pay for a wi-fi password at the front desk, and guess what, the wi-fi doesn't work. When you ask them what's wrong they say, Oh yeah we've had lots of complaints about that. Sorry.

I used the motel before and after walking the JMT. The room was very clean and quite fresh. The facilities were adequate, though I did go and buy a kettle. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was well located, within walking distance (after the walk, limping distance) from good cafes and shops. On the downside, the much advertised "available... More

This is a friendly well kept motel. Very near good restaurants and cafes. Clean room, quiet surroundings and accommodating staff, for an expected price. Well done on this one Motel 6. A good overnight stop. Rooms are a little small for a longer term stay.

This is the smallest motel room I have ever stayed in. It was a single, and quite compact. Everything was minimalist: TV built into the wall, shower just and area behind a curtain in the bathroom. It was probably the most economical place to stay in Mammoth Lakes. Three quibbles, though: 1. You have to pay for WiFi. $3 is... More

Chose this motel as a reasonably priced overnight stop after visiting Yosemite - its approx an hour from the gate at Yosemite on the Tioga Pass road. It took about 2.5 hours from Yosemite village with a couple of photo stops enroute but the majority of the drive was in pitch darkness - be aware of sunset times as darkness... More
