We came into town a little late, very tired, and needed a dog friendly place to stay. In desperation, this was where we ended up. Typical Motel 6, slightly smelly, a little noisy, very basic. The saving grace is Schat's bakery across the street, great coffee and breakfast. more

My partner and I made a quick, late night decision to stay one night in a cheap hotel room. It look a few minutes to get the room, but the service was nice. The rooms was basic. Everything seemed to be clean and I was surpised to see how nice and clean the bathroom was (normally that the worst part... more

I usually go to Mammoth a couple times a year during the ski season. I decided to get some fresh powder midweek at the last minute, and after looking around online decided to give the Motel 6 a try. This is a no-frills motel experience. The room was fine. It was small and clean, but nothing special. Basically what you'd... more

This hotel is very basic, you get a bed, shower room, and a tv but it is very cheap. The walls are a bit thin and we had a strange adjoining bathroom door situation but there was a good pool outside in the car park and great laundry facilities, perfect if you are just passing through. The location is a... more

Motel 6's are all pretty much the same....very basic...no amenities. You get a bed, a sink, a toilet, and a combo shower/bath. No coffee maker, no hair dryer, no box of Kleenex, not even a clock. But hey, Mammoth's Motel 6 is the cheapest game in town. If you're in town to ski, you can't beat the price. This was... more

I had never stayed at a Motel 6 before, and was cautious to do so. It's reputation and the not so great reviews about the hotels. I did my research and decided that the hotel should be safe. The location in Mammoth is very nice, right off the main road and walking distance to most shops/restaurants. The staff were very... more

Decided to stay here as it was a cheap option between Yosemite and Death Valley. Let's face it - Motel 6s are budget motels (they make no claims to the contrary - they are always on all the highways advertising $39.99 or even $29.99 rooms - they themselves call it "Economy" lodging). The bed is queen-sized (ok, I will admit... more

We stayed at the Motel 6 for 1 night of our 19 night trip to America. It was the worst hotel of the trip. I have read other reviews of this hotel, i think there must be 2 Motel 6's in Mammoth Lakes, because everyone else seems to like it! The rooms were clean! Apart from that there isn't really... more
