Never before have my wife & I changed or minds about a hotel from start of stay-to check out. At first we hated this place, with it's newly remodeled, but absolutely character-free style. The longer we stayed, however, the more we came to appreciate the functional side of the design. In the end we both thought it was a good... More

This motel 6 is better than the last one I stayed at in Santa Ana ca. It was nice to find a small fridge and microwave in the room. However the wifi was very slow and a rip off not worth 2.99 for 24 hours and the shower was a bit dirty from the last guest I think. Across Main... More

Mammoth is expensive and this Motel 6 was one of the more reasonable places to stay. Our room was clean and fairly large. The bed was comfortable but the shower/bath towels were a joke. They were so thin you could practically see thru them. To save money we would stay here again.

I traveled with family on a 3 nite stay. Prior to leaving home I confirmed our room wouls have a refrig. When we arrived about 9 PM I was told there were no more rooms available with a fridge. After unloading luggage and dressing for bed we discovered the sheets had not been changed, only "re-made" as evidenced by make-up... More

My wife and I have stayed at Motel 6's all the West coast for many years, including the one at Mammoth Lakes on previous occasions. In general, Motel 6's are a mixed bag: some quite good, others mediocre. Our previous stays at Mammoth Lakes had been satisfactory and uneventful, so we were surprised by what we encountered this time. Our... More

As you will notice from my title we've stayed at Motel 6's since the early 1960's. This is the most expensive one we've ever stayed at. Location, location, location. Still one of the lowest priced rooms at Mammoth. Rooms have been redone and are very nice . Checkin was very good. Don't get a room near pool as children scream... More

Motel 6 is there to offer you the basics. A clean hotel room with a bed or two in your room, a clean bathroom, and a television. That is it. If you need more from a hotel or plan on spending any length of time in your hotel room then this is not the place for you. As it was... More

While we only stayed two nights here I wouldn't recommend the double room for any more than two people, was very tight and the newly renovated rooms are still very dated. Mammoth Lakes however was beautiful and we'll worth the visit. Highly recommend the Italian restaurant across from Motel 6, great food at very reasonable prices.

Don't stay if you have more than two people. The newly renovated rooms are left to the imagination. Barely had room for our luggage and to walk by each other. The towels were not enough and husband had to go to front desk to ask for more (we were a family of six). There was only A BAR OF SOAP.... More

We choose this place among all the overpriced places in this overpriced town because it had air conditioning and their rooms had recently been remodeled. The remodeling is very smart for the tiny rooms, very IKEA or bargain European. But with all the smart remodeling the room had a strong moldy odor. Check in was odd, borderline unfriendly: just give... More
