The hotel was clean and comfortable. The beds wonderful. The staff very freindly and accomodating. The on site restaurant had great breakfasts at reasonable prices, a nice appetizer menu and extensive dinner selections all with friendly attentive service. The pool area was large with two jacuzzis. Rooms on each side of the hotel have very nice views of either the mountian... More

Just got back from our stay at the Westin. Traveled with my husband and two young kids (7 and 8). We stayed in the studio and felt that it was a nice size (comes with plasma tv, king bed, sofa bed, small kitchen and cute little fireplace) but will probably get a one bedroom next yr since the kids will... After coming to Mammoth for the past ten years or so, and staying in varied accommodation (most mediocre and expensive), I have actually found a place where I am comfortable. The Westin takes Mammoth lodging to a whole new level....and thank you for that, Westin. Very comfortable beds with nice sheets, and I am picky on that point. Very clean.... More

Room was very nice and clean with a great view. The pool and jacuzzi were at just the right temperatures at night and not too hot. Very friendly service, easy to get around and close to everything. We will be staying here from now on whenever we travel to Mammoth.

Nicest place I've ever stayed in Mammoth. Only negative is the long walk up/down stairs to the Village/Gondola each day. A little poorly designed in that regard.

Outstanding friendly service - the staff is very well trained and hospitable. The room was basic and comfortable - but nothing to brag about. . The one restaurant appears to try to be a fancy restaurant but they do a poor imitation! It was expensive and overpriced food, inappropriate for being the only choice. The stairs to/from the Gondolo and... More

All in, this is a nice hotel. The one-bedroom suite was great, with a kitchenette and balcony... a perfectly pleasant place to return after a great day on the mountain. The ski valet is fantastic - when you check in, your skis are kept at the gondola, so your 75 stair clomp down in boots is much more manageable. Here... More

I thought that i might not like the hotel and its location after reading some of the reviews here, but it was great. You roll up they park your car, take the skis for you to pick up at the gondola, and then wisk you to your room. The room was quite wonderful, quiet and the elevators were fast and... More

My husband and I recently spent our second wedding anniversary at the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth. It was an absolute dream weekend in the Sierra Mountains. Not only was the snowboarding world-class on Mammoth Mt, so was the hotel. The hotel is intimate and warm, yet has the amenities of a large scale hotel. The staff was extremely courteous... More

or staff to effectively run even this "condo"-based hotel. others have mentioned how cold and crowded the lobby can get, but TWO ELEVATORS for the entire hotel?!?!?!! how they got away with this oversight seems illegal, especially when you end up waiting and waiting as the "bell boys" take up half the elevator with their carts. this place is for...
