We stayed here after driving through Yosemite. Like most towns and cities Mammoth Lakes is widely spread, this hotel is ideally situated to visit all parts of the town. This is assisted with the free bus which is available outside the hotel. All the rooms at this hotel face woodland, there is no street noise only the views of the... More

We were up in the area to do some trout fishing, and chose this hotel for the location. It is walking distance to the Village, on the quiet side, and the hotel hit the spot. The rooms are just fine, not luxury accommodations, but good old fashion accommodations. Breakfast, coffee and toast, to boot. I think there is a hot... More

I reserved this room for four family members (all adults). I was so glad to get this motel at a reasonable price. In addition we got a free breakfast of bagels, yogurt, coffee and tea. The only draw back was the steep entrance to the parking lot. Yes, the parking is free, which is a plus. However, the driveway to... More

Conveniently located close to the Village. Large rooms and comfortable beds. Nice view out the back of each room. Yes, it can be noisy because of the thin doors that connect rooms; it wasn't an issue for me because I routinely wear ear plugs to bed. Two down sides. The included breakfast includes no cereal or fruit, and the steep... More

No reason to stay elsewhere! If your arriving by car or by bus it is easy to find and easy to get around. It is located at a walk distance from the gondola to the mountain. You can rent and lock your stuff in the gondola area and leave equipped to the mountain! Awesome place!

Have stayed in Mammoth many times but never at the Holiday Haus. What a hidden gem! This will now be my place to stay at whenever I visit. My friend and I stayed in a studio and the room had a kitchen which was so nice to make breakfast in. The place was immaculate and very nicely furnished. I loved... More

Good customer service, 5-10 minute drive to eagle lodge, and very affordable. Gas stations, Ralph's/Vons and many restaurants are very close just about a 5 minute drive. I would recommend this place to family and friends. The rooms are nice and warm. Why not?

Friendly, clean, convinent, and reasonable rates!! Wouldn't stay any other place! Cabin 16 is the perfect little place for 4-6ppl. In walking distance to Canyon Gondola, village, and free town bus and trolley system.

Usually when I go to mammoth we stay at either the Village Lodge or mammoth Mountain Inn, which, 2 out of 3 visits to MMI were disappointing. We decided to stay at Holiday Haus because we were a little tight on cash. Which I can't say I had a bad experience at all. We got there and had a wait... More

My boyfriend and I decided to stay here earlier this week and were completely disappointed with our experience there. When we first went to check in, there was only one person in the office who im almost positive was the manager. She was extremely rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. We knew some people who lived around the area... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Holiday Haus Motel offers year-round lodging in Mammoth Lakes, California. Our property is the least expensive lodging location within walking distance to the Village at Mammoth. Holiday Haus Motel's 15 spacious rooms have each been transformed into lovely, historical-interest spaces with modern fireplaces and flat screen TVs. As part of Mammoth's rich history, and in a key spot on Mammoth's Main St. for over 50 years, this landmark motel is still priced for budget-conscious travelers, but now offers an updated take on a true classic. In addition to new furniture, bedding, flooring and fixtures, all Holiday Haus rooms are decorated with archival photos and posters from the old days of Mammoth. Owner Nadine Jones worked with Mark Davis of the Southern Mono Historical Society to give each room a unique personality. The property includes free parking, a hot tub, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi and is located on the route of the Red Line shuttle trolley. ... more   less
