Very happy with our stay here. The location was great - within walking distance of the brewery and various restaurants. (Watch for the sign - the hotel sits below the road) The front desk guy was friendly and very informative. Our room & bathroom were very clean and had been recently re-decorated (other than a dresser which appeared to be... More

I stayed at Holiday Haus in March and decided I would see how it is in summer. I got a studio again. No complaints. Rates are affordable, room was clean. Got there a bit early. The lady at the front desk let us pay the difference and told the housekeepers we were there. Lucky for us, the people had already... More

Booked and paid for a price that included a couch for the 5th person,we were told that no rooms with a couch available, we were told to deal with "Expedia or hotel.com" with our problem who booked our rooms. "Either we find you a room on the rate of what you paid or get a refund" After driving 7hrs with... More

Nice place, large rooms. Miserable breakfast. Staff not always friendly. Beware bears after nine : they come every night all around the hotel ! Your wife might be scared to death. We arrived at ten pm. The manager was sleeping. Nor was the big bear who welcomed us while quietly looking up the garbage. Remember that bears run faster than... More

It was in an ideal area and the rooms were spacious and modern. However, there wasn't any a/c and although the fan provided was nice, it wasn't enough to cool the room down. Also, don't expect the breakfast to really be enough sustenance to last you for awhile. Its a continental offering but really lacking a variety and options. The... More

Holiday Haus was a great location for us, as we were wanting to go to Mammoth Brewing. We spent the night in Mammoth on our way to Bridgeport. We were able to walk to the brewery and village. The room was sufficient for our night stay and we would stay there again if ever in Mammoth,.

We stayed in Holiday Haus Motel only 1 night in June and was enough for my family's spectation. I only wanted an hotel in order to split our road trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas (Yosemite National park - thru Tioga Pass) the clean was ok and the accommodation is old but is acceptable. Regarding continental breakfast, really is... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Holiday Haus Motel offers year-round lodging in Mammoth Lakes, California. Our property is the least expensive lodging location within walking distance to the Village at Mammoth. Holiday Haus Motel's 15 spacious rooms have each been transformed into lovely, historical-interest spaces with modern fireplaces and flat screen TVs. As part of Mammoth's rich history, and in a key spot on Mammoth's Main St. for over 50 years, this landmark motel is still priced for budget-conscious travelers, but now offers an updated take on a true classic. In addition to new furniture, bedding, flooring and fixtures, all Holiday Haus rooms are decorated with archival photos and posters from the old days of Mammoth. Owner Nadine Jones worked with Mark Davis of the Southern Mono Historical Society to give each room a unique personality. The property includes free parking, a hot tub, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi and is located on the route of the Red Line shuttle trolley. ... more   less
