We spent 3 nights at Convict Lake Resort and came home relaxed and renewed. We stayed in a studio cabin with just room enough for two. It had been redone in 2013 and was very nice. Great shower! The kitchen was all new and very nice with everything you needed if you wanted to cook. This resort offers something for... More

My mom and I spent 2 days here in a new (2012) studio cabin with king bed. This is a great mountain resort that will accommodate families who want to cook their own meals, fishermen who want to camp and have a drink in the lounge, couples who want a romantic retreat (and upscale restaurant with great wine list). Cabins... More

The cabins are new now (different from before) and nice. But, they are expensive, The resort is now geared to bus loads of people coming in for lunch . .under the white canopy (not really "mountainish" at all!) The restaurant was a SHOCK as to price! We had ONE entrée (which we shared) . .osso bocco . . plus two... More

We have a variety of cabins. The cabin that this guest stayed in is almost new and complete with vaulted ceiling, log furniture, fireplace, heated floors, propane grille, stainless steel kitchen and glass tiled shower. We believe it is priced quite modestly compared to similar properties. We do offer smaller original cabins with fewer amenities at a lower price point.... More

Just returned from my first two-night, Sat.-Sun.-Mon., stay here. The grounds are beautiful, the high Sierra lake is gorgeous, and our cabin was really, really nice. HOWEVER--I learned that Convict Lake Resort is a VERY popular spot for weddings in the summer, and I was pretty bummed that instead of listening to the twilight sounds of the Sierras from the... We have been camping @ Convict Lake every year since 2005. The lake is Spectacular, and fishing is is great. We come every year and stay at least 5 days. The staff at the best way to see the resort, campground, store, horse rentals, boat rentals, and the entire compound are all top notch. If you have never been, the... More

Firstly let me distinguish that this review is for the rental properties of Convict Lake Resort and not the restaurant or events department (which I’ve been completely happy with). The guest service is non existent. My bad experience began because I’m hosting my wedding at the resort this October (shoulder season for a resort town) and I wanted to have... More

Thank you, CLR, for a great 3-day/2-night get-away. Brook, Cabin 14, was perfect for two; the store was well stocked; the staff friendly and helpful; and the restaurant was excellent. Our hike around the Lake was beautiful--the trail is very well maintained. Icing on the cake was seeing robins and deer as well as having a little graupel on the... More

We visited Convict Lake during the off season, a snowy March visit. We stayed in the Aspen cabin which was fabulous for our family of four (technically it fits 11, though I think it would be pretty crowded with that many people). The Aspen cabin felt new and wonderful. The kitchen is great. Two gorgeous bathrooms. We went for some... More

Convict Lake Resort is so much more than a cabin with a view. It is a mountain experience. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. The General Store is convenient and well stocked--even very nice wine! The restaurant provided a lovely fine dining experience with a fireplace in the middle of the dining room and a separate bar area. I... More

We have been staying at Convict Lake Resort for many years and find it to be a quiet, peaceful and tranquil retreat from the busy-ness of the city and the crowds at Mammoth. Here one is totally immersed in nature, the silence, the majesty of the surrounding mountains, the tranquility of the lake. And, to make your sojourn even more relaxing,... More
