Stayed during the summer month. Pros: Location, renovated rooms/lobby courtesy of the Hotel Impossible show, clean rooms, excellent breakfast, restaurant prices on the high end but food was fantastic/worth it, free wi fi. Cons: 1) Third floor attic rooms facing the street/village (upstairs in main buildilng) were very hot at night and had no windows or a very distant small... More

Our first trip to Mammoth was very eventful! Upon attempting to check in at a different hotel, which I had a reservation, I was told they didn’t have my reservation regardless of the confirmation I had received and the hotel was sold out, as was most of the town on that weekend. They were rude and not at all helpful.... More

We got the last cabin available due to the Beer festival this weekend. It was pricey but very nice and in a great location. We walked across the street to a great free outdoor Saturday nite concert, drank good margaritas and had a good meal at Toomeys! Petras restaurant is at the lodge. The cabin was well appointed. The shower... More

Stayed for just one night after a day of hiking but would have been happy staying longer. An older rustic lodge with that suited us just fine. I usually sleep just 5 hours but the super comfortable beds kept me horizontal for 9 hours. Breakfast was included in the cozy restaurant area and no need to drink and drive as... More

We stayed here for 2 separate nights, one before our backpacking trip and the other night afterwards two separate rooms and they were both pretty nice. There is no AC so try to get a room facing the parking lot so you can get a breeze. The staff was very friendly, the continental breakfast was great, beds were comfy, a... More

Stayed here while travelling & did not have a booking, but staff were helpful & found us a comfortable room. Access to a pool was appreciated after a long drive. Breakfast was included in the price and there was a good variety available. In all, very pleased we found this hotel!

Right across from the village with many dining opportunities, you really don't need a car. The gondola head right up the mountain a few steps away. Our queen bedded room on the ground floor was very spacious. We particularly enjoyed the f?oor to ceiling windows and the trees nearby. The interior is very clean and looks like a throwback to... Just stayed one night at the Alpenhof Lodge, but it was a great find. Reasonably priced (for Mammoth), a great location close to the brewery and village. Staff was super friendly (let me check in early), the rooms were clean and comfortable. Complimentary bottled water was a nice touch. There was a nice European style breakfast with a lot of... More

We stayed at the Alpenhof for two nights in order to spend an entire day at Yosemite. There is no elevator (which we knew) and the young man you checked us in offered to help carry our luggage- always a plus even though we always decline. The room was comfortable and clean, with a window that opens to the cool... More

Hello, Thank you for your kind compliments. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Sorry you had to deal with altitude sickness. It often takes a few days for one to become acclimated to our climate. Drinking lots of liquids (water, pedialite, gatorade) before and during your stay in the mountains often helps. We will see you... More

We stayed at the Alpenhof for 3 nights in late June. We stayed in Cabin 419, a one-bedroom efficiency--- very clean, comfortable, and spacious. No AC, but we didn't need it, as the weather in the mountains is usually cool. There was loud music across the street from the lodge well into the evening, but because our cabin was at... More
