First Impression Cabin # 4: Clean, Comfortable, Nice view of the Lake, Rustic, acceptalbe, no dishswasher. Nice BBQ pit on front porch. All the things to have a great vacation. But, there a catch. You have to like mice, and not mind sharing your cabin with them. A mouse showed up at 2:00am to welcome us, while we were in... More

My husband and I stayed in a lodge room recently at the Wildyrie on the banks of Lake Mamie. It was wonderfully furnished with antiques galore and unique in every way. The linens were new and nice. The room was tiny but neat and clean. The bath was newly redone and had plenty of storage. The breakfast in the morning... More

We stayed in cabin #2 and were extremely disappointed in what we got for the price. It was very expensive for being so small, poorly stocked and uncomfortable. The shower was horrible, spraying in every direction and flooding the bathroom. The kitchen is very poorly stocked, bring your own pans, knives, etc. The sleeper sofa does not have a real... More

This is an old-fashioned lakeside lodge. Our one-bedroom cabin was simple and clean. Nothing fancy, but very comfy in a rustic way. We loved the deck in front. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked. The staff were friendly and generous. If you're very picky about pillows or towels, consider bringing your own. The bed was comfortable. This place is quiet... More

This was a great place for a multi-generation family get-together. Right on Lake Mamie, which is great for fishing, kayaking/canoeing; there's a 1+ mile trail that loops the lake for an easy hike. We looked at several more expensive lodge/cabin resorts in the Mammoth Lakes area, ended up at this one because it was the only available for our time... More

I have been going to Mammoth for years and stayed at the Wildyrie Lodge years ago. This place stopped in time. We stayed in cabin #3 - a refurbished rustic cabin with great views of Lake Mamie. The owner has gone through and upgraded the cabins over the years - but still have therustic feel. No TV, no radio -... More
