We drove by the hotel the first time since there wasn't much signage on the main road to direct us, but Mammoth is not a large area and we found it soon after. The covered parking was nice and probably quite welcome during snowy weather. Ours was a short visit; we didn't get to enjoy dining or amenities or it... More

The Best Western in Mammoth has great accommodations and the hot breakfast is one of the best in town! I would definitely recommending staying here and they even added free popcorn in the lobby! It is centrally located in town right off the main road.

Stayed here for a couple of days, good restaurant/bar attached to the hotel. Breakfast available each day, nice pool & jacuzzi but towels are a ridiculous size, too small to cover & dry. Didn't like the fact that there is no safe available in the room or that the wash basin is separate from the bathroom, odd. Good access to... More

Great little hotel in a good location. A good value, well run and completely comfortable. Staff was friendly and informative, restaurant was well staffed and stocked for breakfast. Will stay here any time we are in the area. A really fine Best Western.

Wanted to visit Yosemite Park and did not want to spend a lot for a hotel, understanding that most of our time would be visiting the park. This was a decent location for us. We flew our plane into Mammoth Lakes airport and the motel was fairly close and about 1/2 drive to the Eastern entrance to the park. We... More

Hello allenjones, Thank you for your review and for staying with us. Please definitely ask to switch rooms if you don't like the one that you were assigned to. If we can, we will absolutely move you. I'm glad that you were able to land before the winds picked up (I checked you in) and enjoy Yosemite National Park and... More

Great place to stay, nice staff, beautiful rooms close to everything. Complementary breakfast is fresh, hot and has a wide selection. The only downside is the WiFi service every time the computer sleeps you must go through the entire log in process all over again, That would be the only negative of the stay.

Dear Jeff C Thank you for your great review.. I'm glad that you enjoyed the hotel, staff and complimentary hot buffet breakfast. As for the internet logging off when your computer goes to sleep, we have only heard that from a couple people. It should only disconnect if the computer leaves the signal area. I'm wondering if there is a... More

Very nice clean accommodations with the most comfortable beds I have experienced in a motel or hotel. The high speed internet was a real convenience and they didn't nickel and dime you for its use or the complimentary breakfast, a real breakfast, not a continental breakfast. Only knock would be the TV, availability of channels, and the remote, but not... More

Dear Phillip J, Thank you for your excellent review! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed our beds, internet access, and complimentary hot buffet breakfast and yes, unlike many hotels in town that charge a resort fee, what you pay for your room is inclusive of all services and amenities such as wifi, parking, and breakfast. As for the television,... More

Visited Mammoth in late April 2015 to do some spring park skiing. Didn't exactly want to fork over the amount of cash the main mammoth base hotel wanted, so we opted for this best western with a more reasonable rate (not to mention that it was closer to the town/restaurants). The rooms were clean and spacious, the pool was great... More

Hello Nolan Y, Thank your for your review and for mentioning Wilson! He has kind of become the hotel mascot with many returning guests asking about him. If you bring him treats, just make sure that they don't contain chicken, he has a finicky stomach. I agree that while there is a convenience to staying at the main lodge, you... More

This was my first visit to yosemite and since it was a memorial day weekend, all hotels and lodges were full. I finally decided to stay at mammoth lakes and drive down to yosemite destinations as it was very near by. Selected Best western High Sierra at Mammoth Lakes - and it turned out be most pleasant experience. Hotel is... More

Our party of four stayed in a two-bedroom suite. The rooms – two bedrooms, a living room and a completely equipped kitchen area – were spacious, comfortable, well appointed and very clean. The hotel staff, particularly at the front desk, were very friendly and helpful. Very surprisingly for a hotel, the on-premises restaurant was actually good: it was a family-run... More

Hello Bruce, I couldn't agree with you more! Many people just stop for the night on their way to Yosemite without realizing that Mammoth Lakes is a destination in itself worth spending a few days. I'm glad that you did so and that we were able to make your visit that much better! I'm also happy that you took advantage... More
