Comfortable beds. Shower head was great. Lots of fluffy thick towels. Check out at 12 would be nice. Rooms were quiet. I had stayed here earlier in March and the Cable guide had still not been updated. Location is great. Quiet hotel.

After our road trip through Yosemite Park end route to Mammoth Lakes via Tioga Pass went awry I contacted the hotel to inform them of what had happened and that we were definitely still coming but will arrive extremely late. The front office personnel assured me that someone will be on duty to check us in. We were only staying... More

The staff at this hotel were great, everyone was very friendly and would help in any way they could. Location is great you can walk to the shops and restaurant. The bus stop is close. You can travel to the mountain by bus free of charge.

Best Western PLUS High Sierra Hotel definitely earned their "PLUS" rating on our recen stay. Upon arrival, we were informed that the elevator had broken and the a service crew was working on it. That was followed by asking us if we would prefer a ground-floor room. That is service. We were also informed about the breakfast service timing and... More

The hotel is average and doesn't compare to the scenery around you. As long as you don't plan to stay in the room the whole time you will be fine. You are in mammoth and you should be enjoying the mountains themselves. Get out and Ski, Fish, Bike, Snowboard and Hike anything but staying in the room.

Hello Matthew K, Thank you for your review and for staying with us. I'm happy to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular scenery of the area. I am, however, sorry to hear that you felt that we were just average. Starting a few years ago, we began the first stage of renovating the hotel by replacing the carpets in... More

from the time we arrived at this hotel, the service was excellent, friendly staff, great location. The lobby was well decorated and clean. Room was very comfortable, maid service good. The best was the breakfast, food was great, lots of variety, friendly staff. Will stay there next year for sure.

Dear FlyfishingOne, Thank you for staying with us during your guys getaway; the fishing in the area is truly a breathtaking experience! Please keep in mind that once upon a time the summer was definitely the off season as Mammoth Lakes was known for it's winter activities, today, however, with the abundance of summer festivals and discovery of summer activities... I was traveling from Oregon with my family, on our way back home to Los Angeles. I decided to show them Mammoth on the way home. We were traveling on the dark and winding 395 around 9pm when we approached the 203 turn off towards Mammoth. We did not have a reservation, just a spontaneous stop for the night, as... More

We have stayed in some fairly nice Best Western Plus hotels and this was probably the bottom end of the ones we have seen. Nothing in particular other than it looked a little old and not quite the new feeling many others have. In addition, the free breakfast was ample in quanity but lacking in quality compared to what we... More

Hello Bill W Thank you for your review and for staying with us. While we are a clean, comfortable and well maintained hotel, what you are noticing comparing us to other Best Western hotels is a Best Western design program which is working with all independently owned properties in the chain to modernize the look and feel of the hotels.... Overall, very happy. We had a two bedroom suite. Very good breakfast. All but one staff member were very friendly and helpful. The one thing I will mention is that the platforms under the mattresses of both beds stuck out way past the mattress and 3 of the 4 of us hit our legs on the sharp corners. I ended... More

Dear belleofga, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. I took a look at the beds in the two bedroom suites and noticed that the mattresses were not centered making it more of a potential of hitting your leg on the corner. While the platform still protrudes (that is the type of bed that it is)... More
