I am the friend Laura is talking about in her review. She forgot to mention the BLOB of crap on the living room carpet we were afraid to investigate further....there was a hairdryer bag in the bathroom but no hairdryer. The ice machine was right outside our door but it wasnt working. We left mid morning on a Monday but... More

The worst customer experience I've ever received from a hotel. I called the Dayton grand (thinking I was planning in advance) fourth months in advance before my wedding to book a room. When I initially called, the desk clerk advised they were remodeling and that I needed to call closer to my date and they could not book a room... More

When we parked to go into the hotel, we drove up 3 levels and decided there was no way a hotel would have a parking structure that bad. So drove back down and parked in a handicapped spot to check in. There was no where else to unload. We were told that we might get towed. We went through a... More

This hotel is trying, very hard. The other reviews are not inaccurate or exaggerated, the hotel is under construction and renovations, but the staff is super friendly, there is adequate signage during the renovation, and the property suited me fine for the three nights of the Dayton Celtic Festival. The pool and some of the other amenities were closed, but... More

We stayed in the Dayton Grand while attending the Celtic Festival. It is currently being renovated so check-in was at a table on the 2nd floor. The only places that are currently air conditioned are the rooms so every place else was very hot. You start by parking in a dimly lit garage and go into a torn up entryway.... More

This hotel is being renovated. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to check in and have there two types of pastries and coffee only breakfast while over looking there grand entrance draped in plastic! The pool and exercise area are closed and their restaurants and bar area too. The first room we were in had a broken... More

First of all, I booked this hotel through a company "perks" site. On the perks site this hotel was listed as being "Dayton Doubletree" it was showing an $89 price and I of course snatched it up right away as that's a good deal for a good hotel chain. I arrive at the hotel and quickly find out that it... More

Do not be fooled by the nice pictures on the internet and the good reviews probably written by hotel employees, because there is no way that a reasonable person could find anything good about this place. First of all, the parking garage is extremely sketchy, especially at the time I arrived (12:00am). I was traveling with my 3-year old son... More

Sign on outside of hotel is broken, only says "hotel". Based on address I guessed it was "Dayton Grand Hotel". Hint number 1. Parking garage was dirty, poorly lit, and only had about 3 cars. Hint number 2. Walked into lobby, it was filthy, worn out, looked like it had been abandoned 20 years ago. Hint number 3. Young woman... More

This place gives you the best bang for the buck. Some of the other reviewers seem to expect a five star hotel for one star price. They want this place to be amazing for only $60 a night before taxes (that is what I paid for a recent weekday stay). I got a clean room that smelled fine, working ac... More
