Do not miss this comfortable and inviting B&B right next door to the Cumberland Gap Nat'l Park. I had intended on a two night stay with day hiking in the nearby trails. Jill's gracious hospitality convinced me I needed to stay an extra night. The full tasteful breakfast will keep you lingering. I look forward to my next visit. Thanks,... More

The Cumberland Manor is so quaint; all of the fall decorations make you feel cozy and at home right away. Our wonderful hostess warmly welcomed us and after a brief house tour, delighted us with tales of the historic mansion. The morning breakfast was so pretty and the meal was delicious. We are looking foward to returning soon.

I visited the B&B today on this dreary, rainy day and spirits were certainly lifted. Jill served a special luncheon for us and it was delightful! She graciously gave a tour and I was magically transported back in time. I wanted to curl up on one of the sofas in the parlor and read a great book! Will definitely be... More

I, like many travelers staying at the Cumberland, was researching my ancestors' trip over the Wilderness Road and through the Cumberland Gap. This area does not offer many great hotels so I settled on the Cumberland and found Jill, the innkeeper, to be delightful, a great cook and very resourceful for all her guests. Her personality creates a friendly warmth... More

The Cumberland Gap is an area filled with history and beautiful countryside. While the outdoor activity is fabulous, finding a pet friendly, comfortable place to stay for a few days can be a challenge. Imagine my delight to find the Cumberland Gap B & B in Middlesborough, KY where I could relax each evening after a busy day at nearby... More

Nice innkeeper, but musty, moldy, old odor permeates the house. Spider webs abound. Furniture is beyond worn and home is cluttered with 'stuff.' The smell is a major detergent to a good recommendation. Too expensive given the.circumstances.

I was quite surprised to hear of your experience, as there was no complaint or sign of displeasure. Truly, my intentions are to make every single guest feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. I cannot apologize enough for not upholding my promise. I can say that everyone has different styles and tastes and mine is indicative of the age of... More

If you are in the area - or even if you need to go out of your way to be here - stay at the Cumberland Manor. The house is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the breakfasts are delicious. This is the best place within visiting distance of Cumberland National Pak.

My husband and I stayed at the Cumberland Manor on a short notice booking. We were very fortunate to have stumbled upon this place and would highly recommend it to people who want to spend time in a house that will transform you back to the Victorian times. Jill will greet you with all the information you will need to... More

Loved the intricate decor in all the rooms, the restored Victorian home floating in it's own serene island above Middlesboro. The proprietor Jill knew the area intimately, and recommended byways and local points to visit. My girlfriend was properly impressed with Jill's house tour, and the room. Our breakfast omelette was accompanied by first raspberries and pears, then toast with... More

Jil's B&B is a charming beautiful victorian manor. Not only is the house clean and beautifully maintained, but Jill also takes the time to walk her guests through the manor explaining various aspects of the architecture, decoration and other fun facts about the house. Jill is also more than happy to give suggestions on where to hike, where to eat,... More
