Don't waste your money eating at the overpriced Crater Lodge. It was a disappointment - my wife and I ordered two separate dishes, but were brought out cold. For a $80-100 dinner, we expect more. There is a much cheaper option near the cabins, but we did not try it. The cabins were we stayed were alright, but are not... more

A beautiful setting overlooking Crater Lake. The main hotel lobby nad public rooms are what one would expect from a great lodge. The terrace overlooking the lake is spectacular but unfortunately is overrun with day trippers who take every available chair so there is little room for the hotel guests. Our room was smallish which we expected and had a... more

On June 10th we reserved one night at the Lodge. What a dissapointment. The setting is beautiful, the lobby and sitting area is warm and cozy, but that's where it stops. Here is a list of the problems we had with our room #222 and the hotel. 1. 4 dirty glasses in our room. Three had lip marks (actual lipstick)... more

Our lakeview room was typical of a national park -- only essentials, nothing extra. At $208 it was the most expensive room of our trip and the most spartan. It was clean. I called for dinner reservations in the morning before we left Medford. Only options were 5:15 and 7:30. My daughter had wild salmon with rice pilaf and asparagus.... more

As others have noted, this is the only hotel inside the park, and I do not regret staying here. The room was clean and we had a lake view that was spectacular. The Lodge is very attractive and casual. Staff were generally friendly, but, unfortunately some were incompetent. I think they are either underpaid or because the park is hours... more

This visit was a disaster. After looking forward to staying at the Crater Lake Lodge for years, I was very disappointed. Not by the Lodge but by the incompetency of the staff and the bad service. Let me amend that: the new Manager and our 2 bellmen were pleasant and tried hard to explain away the problems. First and worst,... more

Loved the lodge for its historical significance, its atmosphere and, of course, its outstanding location at the rim of the lake. If you go, it is well worth the money to get a room on the lakeside. We had both a view of the lake from our bedroom and our bathroom on the third floor (Room 312). Since it had... more

My husband stayed at the Crater Lake Lodge for one night in September and had perfect weather. The beautiful blue sky reflecting off of the deep blue lake gave us pictures and memories we won't soon forget. We are big fans of staying in National Park Lodges. Our #1 reason, (and it played out very strongly at this park) is... more

One of the better national park hotels. Try to get a room overlooking the lake. Other rooms overlook the parking lot and a noisy restaurant fan. The rooms are very nice and the restaurant in fantastic. more

Stayed one night in a non-view room, which was actually quite spacious, with two queen beds. Not fancy, but it was clean. The hotel is beautiful, and enjoying an adult beverage at sundown on the outside chairs is fantastic to say the least. The dining room was a disappointment however. The menu which is posted on-line looks wonderful, but the... more
