We enjoyed the hotel for the most part; the view from the main room in the hotel is spectacular! Sitting outside with tea/drinks in the rocking chairs gazing out over the Lake...priceless. Unfortunately for us, the only room we could get was normally given to someone with a handicap. It was on the first floor and the shower head was... More

How can you say anything bad about Crater Lake. Mother Nature at her best and clearly a must see. The Lodge in general is lovely, It is rustic but that adds to the charm. But a must eat at the Lodge? That is another question. The restaurant is clearly overpriced and quality seems to be an after thought. The caesar... More

The Lodge is in a wonderful place & has a long and interesting history but unfortunately is not comparable to Timberline hotel near Mount Hood. Many of the features are fake - why not use real logs for the fire rather than a faux fire, surely there's no wood shortage? Much of the decor was also fake - plastic flowers... More

Lovely, rustic lodge. We had room 204, on the second floor with a lake view. We booked 8 months in advance, as you have to do with Xanterra lodges. The room was spotlessly clean. And the bed was soft and comfy. Pillow was thin, could have used one more. No telephone or tv in the room, which was wonderful. They... More

We stayed one night in July and loved it. I felt like we were on top of the world looking out over the bluest, most serene lake. RESERVATION I made the reservation at the end of March by phone as the website did not show availability. Like all Xanterra properties, the rooms book early. However, if you are determined to... We were unable to book reservations (waited too long before our visit). So we opted to visit the lodge, look around, view the lodge exhibits, take photos inside and out and basically hang out there for a bit. There was plenty of parking available. I thought the lake views were best from the lodge. My recommendation is to book your... More

On one hand, you will find magnificent natural surroundings at an elevation of 6,000 feet, a serene cobalt blue lake and a picture- perfect stone and timber lodge building at Crater Lake Lodge. Inside, there is a huge terrace with easy-chairs to contemplate sunrise and sunset over this lake created by a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago as well... More

We stayed three nights. It was a long time to stay, but so relaxing. The view was divine. The room was simple, no phone, no coffee machine, no television. Beds had memory foam mattresses. It was quiet, clean and tastefully decorated. Two complaints about the room. One was that the bathroom ventilation was poor and the bathroom smelled musty at... More

My daughter described her breakfast at the lodge restaurant as the worst she had ever had. There were 5 in our party and only one person was happy with his meal. My daughter had the Eggs Benedict. The eggs were overcooked, the hollandaise sauce had an off flavor and was basically was inedible. When she complained to waiter, the response... More

Crater Lake is fabulous, and the Lodge is the ONLY way we'll ever visit. Getting reservations was daunting, but worth it. This is a wonderful old-style Park Lodge, with all that brings. The rooms are smallish, and not all the modern amenities, but who needs coffee in the room when staff has it waiting for free in the lobby for... More
