Just like the ageless real estate slogan says. The hotel is inline with typical national park lodges. Maybe the foyer is not as grand as Old Faithful Lodge, but one cannot beat the views from the back porch. The hotel has good rustic construction/decoration on the inside. The lobby, support columns, central stairway and check-in area are covered in Ponderosa... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in July. You can't stay any closer to the lake than this, which makes it a great place to stay for sightseeing. It was nice for getting a jump on the day without travelling to get to the park. The rooms were nice but don't expect any frills. The walls are surprisingly, extremely thick. I... More

Had a wonderful time at Crater Lake earlier this month. We had a great room with a beautiful view of the lake. If you have the chance, book a room with a lake view. The room was clean and was ready at a reasonable time when we checked in. We had to wait a few hours since we showed up... More

If you love the older classic hotels with fascinating fellow guests and travelers and views that are amazing - this is the place for you. We have stayed at many of the classic lodge hotels in the national parks and this one is lovely yet mellow and clean with very polite and accommodating staff. We liked that they serve meals... More

We stayed here 4 two nights and loved it! You need to be on the rim so that you are here for a sunrise and sunset. Nothing is more beautiful than the water at Crater Lake. The rooms are not cheap but the drive from outside of the park is too difficult. You have to book early in the year... More

Crater Lake is a beautiful area. The lodge hotel is beautiful in it's own way. Rustic, charming, etc. The room was tiny with old wallpaper. Everything was sufficient as far as cleanliness, not much noise, etc. Luckily there was a portable fan which helped spread the air. Nothing fancy, but the prices was way higher than what we normally pay... More

I had previously stayed at the Crater Lake Lodge over 40 years ago. When I told my father where I was saying, he said, "That place is a dump!" Well, after a major renovation, I can honestly say that that is no longer the case. This is a historic national park lodge in the truest sense. I splurged and got... More

I made my reservation in January for one night in July at Crater Lake Lodge. My room was #410, which seemed to be one of the nicer rooms. I liked the top floor lakeside location, with king bed, beautiful views and two windows with benches to enjoy those views. On this floor the roof line does angle down into the... More

We enjoyed our one-night stay here. We were in room 402 which had a view of Wizard Island and a partial view of the western portion lake off to the right. Not what I pictured when they say lake view, but with the trails and common areas to view the lake from, having a great view from the room isn't... More

We lucked out this past weekend. We knew we would be driving through Crater Lake on our way back from our week vacation in Bend. We checked online to see if the Lodge had any availability and they didn't have any rooms available. Although we were disappointed we decided to go and see Crater Lake anyway and have lunch at...
