As you would expect the lodge is in a great setting overlooking the lake. It is nicely furnished and we had no complaints about the room, which had recently been refurbished. When it comes to food the operators take advantage of their monopoly position. Food from the cafe was expensive and almost inedible. Based on some reviews we were concerned... More

The location of Crater Lake Lodge couldn't be better, literally feet away from Crater Lake. We stayed in a deluxe lakeview room and, while we had a reasonably good view of the lake, it wasn't an unobstructed one due to the trees. Nevertheless, the room was a good size and was clean.

Wow! Just wow. I have stayed here on two different occasions and it may be the best I have been in what I call the "lodge" category, and I have been to Many Glacier Hotel and Glacier Park Lodge (Glacier Nat'l Park), Old Faithful Inn (Yellowstone Nat'l Park), Prince of Wales Hotel (Waterton National Peace Park, CA), Signal Mountain Lodge... Crater Lake lodge, and nearby Crater Lake, is my favorite thing on the west coast, outside of Yosemite National Park. I have lived in California since the mid-1960s, and I cling to the notion that Crater Lake is the best thing on or near the west coast, other than Yosemite. The rooms in the lodge are neat and elegant, with... More

I have always wanted to visit Crater Lake and stay at the lodge. After years of trying to make an on line reservation I decided to call and managed to get a room because of cancellation on Labor Day weekend. We stayed 2 days which I think is plenty. We had a deluxe lake partial lake view room. I was... More

Crater Lake Lodge is a great national park lodge with the nice rustic feel, but it has been completely overhauled in the past 20 years, so it has a more updated feel than some lodges have. It is expensive, but worth it if you can manage it. One note for groups of more than 4 people; We were able to... More

If you want a room with a view, it doesn't get much better than this! We stayed 3 nights in room 125 on the second floor, lake side. We arrived in the middle of the first snowstorm of the season so we were happy to receive a warm welcome from the staff and the large stone fireplace in the lobby.... More

When I made our reservation here, I was not really sure what I was getting! The person I spoke with called it a 'queen loft' and assured me that it had two queen beds and a private bath, with a partial view of the lake. Part of it was on the third floor, and part on the fourth (this was... More

We just ate lunch here but just loved the visit! Great place to get warm between hikes, child friendly and fun to sit next to the fire and have a warm cocktail. It was cold that day and the clouds were in and out but it was fun to see them roll through. The weather can change quickly so be... More

We initially booked with Mazama Inn but when checking my in-laws in at the lodge there was a vacancy and we took it - and SO glad we did. Later we drove by the Mazama Inn and it's not an inn at all. They are dreary, dark sets of 4 rooms with no windows that have a 50's motel look... More
