My purpose in visiting Crater Lake was to experience the scenery and take photos. Time spent traveling into and out of the park is time lost. The Lodge is the only accommodation on the rim, and I found it charming and just where I wanted to be, with the lake right outside the door. It was a little pricy, and... More

My husband and I only stayed here for 1 day and night on our Pacific Northwest trip but we were BLOWN AWAY! When we arrived Cliff already had our room ready for us and was professional and pleasant to work with. We were fortunate enough to get a corner room on the 4th floor with a spectacular view of the... More

The title says the most. You have to make reservations for dinner every night. If you don't you don't get in to eat. Nice, when you pay over $200 a night and there isn't another restaurant within 20 miles. The only one that is only open tell 7. There isn't even a mini fridge or microwave to heat up a... More

All of the lodges in the national parks are run by the same outfit. You don't go there expecting four seasons quality service. You go to experience the outdoors in an absolutely stunning unduplicatable area. That is what you get here. So bring the right clothing including all kinds of rain gear and don't expect to spend all your time... More

Set on the rim of the crater the views are wonderful. 5 stars despite the small and old fashioned rooms. A step back in time. Don't expect luxury you're there for the views. Try to get a lake view room. We asked if any available when we arrived as we booked the only available online. Don't expect to walk in.... More

As an extension to our vacation in Ashland, we decided to visit Crater Lake National Park up North. The view of the lake, the snow, and the Towering Trees was breathtaking and beautiful. And for more fun, we went and stayed in the lodge. The lodge had a warm and comfortable lobby, and the dining hall served very tasty food.... More

Crater Lake is one of the few places in the world that will literally take your breath away when you first see it as you drive up to the rim. It is simply stunning! Crater Lake Lodge is beautifully sited on the rim and whilst not luxurious it is more than acceptable for a revered national park lodge lodge. Sitting... More

I was really looking forward to going to dinner at Cater Lake Lodge after a four night camping trip. This dinner out was the one night we were cooking over the campfire and it was also my birthday dinner. The evening started well. We had dinner reservations but, arrived early to enjoy a cocktail on the porch. The power went... More

While doing some work in the Oregon area I had the pleasure of spending several days at the Cater Lake Lodge. From the moment you enter the park you know you made the right decision to go there. The natural beauty of the park just enhances the beauty of the lodge itself. The lodge was constructed in 1915. It is... More

This is a beautiful rustic old lodge that we believe that this was also built in the 1930's by the shovel ready ccc camps of the depression era . Crater lake can be seen down the hill in the distance. The lake is not very easy to get down to enjoy. It is actually a trek to get to. The... More
