We arrived on a Sunday and had our pick of the campsites. We camped in a site with a view down to the Grand Valley. It was so pretty it almost didn't look real. And the lights in the valley at nite were really beautiful. At $10/nite, you can't beat the value of this campground. It is also walking distance to the viewpoint at Window Rock and the Rim Trail. We were there in June so it was too hot during the day to do much hiking. We plan to return in early May next year so we can get out and do more hiking.
It's a great place to camp and Colorado National Monument is worth a visit of several days if you are the kind that likes to hit the hiking trails and really get out and see the scenery at a relaxed pace.
