We stayed there a couple of weekends ago while driving through the City of Rocks area which in itself of phenomenal. But the motel room (unit 10) which was two story, had the most comfortable beds ever. I will go back to find out the make of the mattress so I can buy it for my home. My son and... More

My husband and I rented a cabin for 1 night while we visited City of Rocks in April. After a long day of climbing Jackson's Thumb, we arrived at Almo Inn around 7:30PM. There were no cars (employees or guests) in the parking lot. We found out that they close at 6:00PM on Sundays, but some phone numbers were listed... More

Stayed in unit 10 that sleeps 8-10 persons. Clean, modern and comfortable. Rates are very reasonable. Does NOT have a TV, but has free wireless. Close to rock climbing and hot springs areas. Great views.

This is a much nicer place than any traveler to a remote corner of the West has any right to expect. My room was immaculate, large, and nicely decorated. There was a pleasant porch both in front and in back. The restaurant serves a nice steak (no cocktails). The owner obviously takes personal pride in this operation, and goes far... More

I really didn't know what to expect when we rented rooms here for a family wedding. Altogether we has five rooms for a few days. They were big, nicely furnished with a thought to Western style and comfort, beds and bedding perfectly fine, air conditioning worked, and best of all - spotlessly clean. Coffee and coffee maker, small fridges, dishes... More

We stayed a whole week in cabin and can't wait to go back! It is perfect for a family of 6 with two bathrooms, upstairs downstairs, a private room for my wife and I and a mini kitchen. We hiked and explored during the day and relaxed in comfort at night. My kids loved the deer and horses and my... More

When booking the room we were told there was only one room, that forced us to rent a more expensive cabin. On approach we didn't mind the cabins looked cute and cozy. We did find it odd that there was not a single car at the hotel. No one else was staying that night. The Cabin was small but we... More

On a family climbing trip to the City of Rocks, where we would normally camp, we got a room (suite, really) at the Almo Inn due to cold early October weather and an 8-Month old. Didn't have high expectations for such a small, out-of-the-way Inn but were thrilled to find a very clean, thoughtfully decorated, cozy suite. It has western... More

Let me preface this review by saying that we did not stay here. We were hoping to stay here when we were in the area for a high school reunion. The photos online looked great and it was the closest hotel to our event at the City of Rocks. I called twice hoping to secure a reservation. The first time... More

Almo Inn is the really the on hotel in the area for those exploring the City of Rocks. We enjoyed the ourselves so much that we have gone back several times just to relax and get away from cell phones, t.v. and internet. It is a great place to recharge your own batteries and connect with the outdoors. The cabins... More
