I love the place. It's rustic, native, a place to find yourself in nature. I could see myself living out the last years of my life there. But unfortunately, the new managers don't really want people coming by. He told me outright that "they didn't come here to run a hotel, but to take care of that 53,000 acres back... More

We've stayed at Muleshoe Ranch twice and I can't wait to go back. The casitas are cozy and comfortable. It's a bit of a drive from Wilcox to the ranch, so bring your supplies. The road has some stretches of washboard but is fine for ordinary autos. The hiking trails are excellent. We preferred to start our hikes early in... More

The area is very beautiful. We saw a number of birds, deer, and coati. All were right around the grounds. After a scenic hike we enjoyed sitting in the hotspring tubs. The night sky was also amazing. For having to schlep all your food, drinks, and ice out there is was more like a camping trip with a cozy place... More
