The Clocktower Inn was recommended to us by friends and family although they hadn't stayed there for years. It is showing age and neglect but some of it's lost charm shows through. We booked a balcony room, were checked into a guest room with a defunct AC unit and a non functioning TV. The towels were nice and there was... More

My lady and I were driving to Santa Maria from Orange County and we decided to stay in Ventura along the way. It was late at night, we had no reservations, and we found this place. Our room was downstairs, alongside the park, and we had a good night's rest. Complimentary breakfast was pretty decent: cold cereal, juice, waffles, pastries,... More

Should have read the reviews. Outside looked cute with plenty of beautiful plants. Walked in room and was immediately turned off. Room was extremely small with tiny bed. The comforter was very outdated and flipped it back to find stains all over. Also there was no fitted sheet just one very thin flat sheet I could see the old mattress... More

My wife and I used to like to stay there because of the location and reasonable price. However, the place has only continued to decline. We stayed there in July with two of our grandchildren and were quite disappointed. We had to change rooms after the first day. Upon our return after lunch we entered into our room to discover... We checked into 3 rooms, 2 of them had urine smells in them, one had a bed that you sank into the middle of the bed. The windows wouldn't open or close. No refigerators, it was a $10.00 charge. No hair dryers, you were allowed only one class in the bath room no exceptions! We asked to look at another... More

This is a terrible place to stay. It is located next to a park where all the homeless people in Ventura sleep. We had homeless people smoking drugs within 10 feet to our window. There were also homeless people wandering through the lobby and courtyard. This is unacceptable as there is no security presence of any form. We felt so... More

I did nit even check in. I was going to, looked at the room, very musty smelling like dead humidity. I saw a dead cockroach in the bath tub and scooted out of there. Where there is one there is more. Time to call the bug killer. Also, I am not going to use Hotels.com, Priceline, none of those for... More

Spent 2 nights at this hotel. Room was large and comfortable and staff very nice. My main complaint was that they weren't truthful about the Jacuzzi not heating up and no wifi in the rooms. They said "someone was working on it" instead of just being up front with the information. Don't look for a full breakfast......only cold cereal, muffins... More

We booked 3 rooms for a wedding and reception. I was wary about the location and hotel but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has a wonderful lobby and eating area. I really enjoyed the location so close to downtown and the local beach. I always stop by Tony's Pizza when I am in town and this was in walking distance.... More
