Stayed in a ground floor unit with 1 bedroom, a "sleeping area", 2 bathrooms and a mini kitchen. Ours was one of the bigger ones as it also had a fireplace. As a Wyndham owner, we booked it through our points, but the resort doesn't have any appearances of a Wyndham property at all. By that, I mean no Wyndham... More

Harbortown point resort is a nice resort in beautiful Ventura CA. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. We had ocean view rooms 224/225 which were adjoined and the view was beautiful. Room 224 has a bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen and balcony with table overlooking the water. Room 225 has a bedroom, bathroom and fridge. I... More

We came here after two weeks in large, modern timeshares, the Marriott in Orlando and the Welk resort in Escondido and we didn't have high expectations having read the last review. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, it is a little old fashioned but our apartment was large, comfortable and very well equipped. Fabulous lighting in the large bathroom, a... More

Because my mother wanted to check off a couple of places on her bucket wish list (like the Ronald Reagan Library, the Getty Villa and the Getty Museum, Universal Studios), we chose Harbortown Point for our point of departure from February 8 - 14. The place was awesome. My mother and I had unit 132, which was a one bedroom... More

We have owned timeshares for 20+ years. This was by far the most disappointing exchange we have ever experienced. We traveled from the snowy east coast to Ventura CA. The check-in was located in the back of the resort because they were still remodeling the check in area. Of course we did not get a unit facing the harbor, we... More

My wife and I were in 310. Elevator, with wide carpeted (quiet) outside hallways. Nice view of channel entrance to watch boats come and go from our balcony. The room had all the amenities, and the King bed was super comfy. Large palms surround the circular pool (5 feet depth) and nicely jetted whirlpool. The pool was surrounded by lush... More

As some have indicated, it clearly was originally built some years ago but we thought they've done a good job of updating to the extent they can. First indication is the lobby which is very small and reminded me of the old time hotel lobbies. We stayed in a 1-bedroom unit that had not only the bed in the main... More

I wasn't overly impressed with the exterior and layout of this property. It is obviously a resort that was built in the 60s or earlier. The amenities were okay if you have very young kids but I felt the pool area was too claustrophobic.. The positives are that, yes, it is right on the harbor and bay but you still... More

All the positive reviews are spot on: flower-filled grounds, well-maintained rooms, quiet, with good beds. Every room has a balcony with table and chairs. Our room, far from the water, had pretty views of trees and gardens with a peep at the ocean. A car is usually necessary, though Ventura offers a free trolley that will take you to excellent... We stayed for 1 week in a studio unit. Kudos to the designer. Though it was a studio, it was beautifully designed and decorated with added attention given to utilitarian purposes. Queen or King size bed, more than ample storage for clothes and kitchen items, fireplace, large TV screen, outdoor patio and the largest bathroom we ever had anywhere (double... More
