As some have indicated, it clearly was originally built some years ago but we thought they've done a good job of updating to the extent they can. First indication is the lobby which is very small and reminded me of the old time hotel lobbies. We stayed in a 1-bedroom unit that had not only the bed in the main... More

I wasn't overly impressed with the exterior and layout of this property. It is obviously a resort that was built in the 60s or earlier. The amenities were okay if you have very young kids but I felt the pool area was too claustrophobic.. The positives are that, yes, it is right on the harbor and bay but you still... More

All the positive reviews are spot on: flower-filled grounds, well-maintained rooms, quiet, with good beds. Every room has a balcony with table and chairs. Our room, far from the water, had pretty views of trees and gardens with a peep at the ocean. A car is usually necessary, though Ventura offers a free trolley that will take you to excellent... More

We stayed for 1 week in a studio unit. Kudos to the designer. Though it was a studio, it was beautifully designed and decorated with added attention given to utilitarian purposes. Queen or King size bed, more than ample storage for clothes and kitchen items, fireplace, large TV screen, outdoor patio and the largest bathroom we ever had anywhere (double... More

We have been visiting Harbortown since 1999. The staff are the most pleasant individuals you could imagine. They are there to help with your every need with a smile on their face. All reviews describing the grounds are spot on. It is very well maintained and absolutely beautiful. The views of the Harbor and/or Ocean are breathtaking. Each evening we... More

Located off Highway 101 this place is close to many attractions but quiet when you just want to relax. Stroll along the dock and take in the passing boats. There is a heated pool and many amenities that make the place great for couples or families. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and cozy.

We visited in mid-December and did not have a chance to enjoy the heated pool because we were doing a lot of sight seeing in the area. But we enjoyed the lot tub several nights. It is enclosed so can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. Room was nice, bathroom was very large. The bed was not comfortable, but otherwise... More

Arrived late on Sunday. Key was in lock box as per directions of staff. We didn't know what to expect with the description "one bedroom plus". Confused why there was a lock off bedroom when they do not separate it from the studio. Asked about history of place all week. Very unlike any other timeshare we know. Location was great.... More

We are in the process of buying a timeshare at the Harbortown resort, and I checked out as many reviews as possible, since I have never been there before. We love Ventura and have stayed at beach houses in the past. The staff was friendly and the grounds were beautiful, our condo had a amazing ocean view. The condo was... More

We stayed in a studio unit. This unit is nicer and larger than many one bedroom units. The complex is well maintained, clean, and quite. The Jacuzzi is very unique in a greenhouse style of enclosure. The location is delightful, right on the edge of the channel.
