Made my reservations on Monday for a Deluxe kind bed with buffet, to arrive on Friday. Upon my arrival on Friday night (8pm) I was informed, although I had reservations for a deluxe king room, they did not have it ready and would give me a deluxe queen room instead. I was not happy with that and asked the hotel... More

This hotel is old, old, old! The rooms are big, but that doesn't make up for the bad service. We requested a king size bed, told there were none available. Second choice was queen size. What we got was a double bed that was horribly uncomfortable. I spoke with the manager and she said doubles were their queen size beds...... More

The hotel itself is very nice with a lot of history. it is the the people that work theer that make your stay, terrifying, nightmare experience. The receptionist by the name of Jessica and the rest of these women dress up like if it was a Halloween event. They do not know how to speak English properly. They are the... More

I really wanted this to be the nice place I remembered from years ago. I was sure wrong. Restaurant on Sunday was supposed to open at 6am for breakfast, so load up the family and head down, but their cook supposedly doesn't show up, so we have to wait an extra hour. Even then the food quality is just poor.... More

My wife and I live in El Paso but stayed overnight as the hotel is very close to the starting and finish line of the marathon that my wife ran in last weekend. While the location was convenient for the race, that was where the positives end. This used to be one of the nicest hotels in the city but... More

The Camino Real chain is known for high-end Mexican hotels. The Camino Real El Paso is not their best property. It is clean. The staff is friendly. The rates are low. It is close to the convention center and museums. It has many meeting rooms. After that, all is mediocre. It's an old property that needed a full renovation. Instead,... More

This is the second time I have stayed at this lovely old hotel. Staff was very helpful. Coffee shop has tasty food with attentive waiters. Room was adequate with comfortable beds. After having difficulty with the room temp. the desk quickly sent someone to explain the controls. Located within easy walk of several museums and music venues. Hotel celebrates 100... More

From the beginning with a call for a ride from the airport to check out, our stay here was excellent with only one glitch, they couldn't find our paid reservation. Partly was our fault as I had lost the reservation paper getting there. Straightened out, service was great, rooms were great and for an older hotel, it far exceeded expectations... More

My Husband and 23 year old son stayed here for the Sun Bowl Game. They said the room was very large, comfortable, and clean. They had a great breakfast buffet at the restaurant. It was in a convenient location, and they walked everywhere they needed to go. Juan at the front desk was very helpful, and the entire staff was... More

Came to the camino hotel for the 2010 Sun Bowl (Go Irish) and, initially was quite impressed with the appearance and feel of the hotel. My wife and I thought the lobby and room was full of character; however, there were only about 12 people in the bar by the time we made our way down with 3 bartenders and... More
