We called from airport to get the shuttle and were told it was busy. We had to take a $30 cab ride. The restaurant was slowwwwwwwwwwwwww with terrible food. The area is horrible. No restaurants to walk to and eat after 5pm. The sink drained slow. My husband decided to plunge it on his own because they would never send... More

Our first room was a little mildew-y but we thought It would be acceptable for a couple days. We awoke the next morning to find the ceiling dripping and bulging. Worrying. Rather than just moving us to another room, they sent a man up. He cut a whole in the watery bulge and drained it into a plastic cup. He... More

A nice hotel next door to convention center with historic rooms. Bed was comfortable with nice linens. AC unit in my room did not work well and bathroom floor needs replacing. Old style TV, but good selection of channels. Enjoyed a great breakfast buffet in hotel cafe, La Huerta, with delicious omelets made to order. Staff was welcoming and helpful.... More

We were there with a lot of folks bowling in the USBC National Open Championship. The rooms were excellent, the old architecture is extremely pretty. The staff at the front desk were excellent and very accommodating. It took the restaurant some days to figure out that there were a lot of people in the hotel and lots of them had... More

This place is gross. The carpet in the hotel lobby is coming up and I tripped walking up to the front desk. Stains on the carpet on our floor and in our room. The bathroom in our room had this kind of paint job covering up the white tile, water marks all coming down from the ceilings, and it's smells!... More

What a shame. A beautiful historic old building that is crying out for someone to take it on and care about it. With no investment and no care to customer service the management here truly do not give two hoots about their clientele. What other hotel do you go to where the hotel is full and the main restaurant is... More

I normally don't write reviews, however, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The hotel itself is beautiful, everything after that's horrible! I reserved a room with 2 beds, as I was traveling with my niece. When we checked in, I was told a second bed was on its way. The second bed never arrived. When I asked about... More

Despite being listed by Historic Hotels of America, the only historic aspect of the hotel is the spectacular Tiffany glass domes in the bar--which is best seen by dropping by for a drink, not by staying here. That feature aside, the hotel offers basically bland, dated rooms, and not particularly efficient service.

I love this place; I know - I see the negative reviews of people...but I have to say the building is magnificant...the location is superb; yes it's an old building but I dare you to find a new building that can match the style and grace and history that this one has. Upon check-in I was informed that they had... More
