We have been staying at this property for about 20 years now every time we come to the Shakespeare festival. We really enjoy the location. We like to just come out of our room and walk downtown or walk down to the plays. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rates are very reasonable. We love the pool and the... More

When we came back from a day visit in a N P we discovered that a 100$ were stolen from a purse. Also, the room wasn't totally cleaned. And when we went to the desk to complain,Curtis didn't take in charge, and called is manager who only spoke to us by phone. He was supposed to call or e mail us... More

We were in need of a last minute hotel and Melanie was very friendly and accommodating. No, it wasn't a 5 star hotel but it was clean and had everything you would need. Breakfast was comparable to other hotels in this class, cereal, yogurt etc. If we were passing through Cedar City I would stay here again. Thank you Melanie!

This place was dated a decade ago. Oh, it's clean and basic, but way overpriced for what it is. I would put this in the Motel 6 pride range, not in the Court Yard price range where they are. Carpet is green and ancient and threadbare on the stairs. No elevator, no hot breakfast, TV is an old 20 inch... More

This is a great hotel for the price. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful and kind. Within easy walking distance of the Shakespeare Festival activities is a bonus. We will definitely be staying here again.

This is a lovely place and I've stayed here before. It is very clean and they work beyond the call of duty to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable. The beds are very comfortable and the linens soft. there is a continental breakfast (I think a waffle maker) and coffee/tea 24/7. I believe they are remodeling the rooms, but I... More

I did read the reviews. However, I found the hotel to be affordable, close to my destination, accommodating to my schedule, acceptable breakfast, clean, somewhat updated furnishings, included all amenities, and overall fairly secure in the area. I liked the nod to Shakespeare decor.

Dirty, dirty, dirty! From the hallway to our room, filthy. Found all sorts of disgusting surprises in our room. Honestly gross. Stay somewhere else. Trash was everywhere. Parking lot, stairwells, everything was dirty.

Had a room booked to the Stratford thru Hotels.com but upon arrival we found out that the reservation was moved to the El Rey next door. This place has been remodeled and is really nice and clean. Had a nice breakfast and has an outdoor pool. My value was excellent. Would stay there again.....

I wanted to stay at the highly reviewed Abby Inn in Cedar City however they were booked. I went to the Stratford next and while the lobby and breakfast area was updated, the rest of the hotel is in need of repairs and updates. The furniture and beds are worn out and dated. Green carpet shows it's age and needs... More
