We have not been in Manhattan in some time because lodging is go expensive. We have been staying at LaQuinta locations in the Midwest where we live. We have found them to be an excellent value and great service. When we found out that there was a LaQuinta in Manhattan, we checked and were pleasantly surprised by the rate. We... More

While not very cheap, this hotel is a stone's throw from the Empire State Building and also MSG/Penn Station. We arrived at about 1 p.m. and our room was not ready, but there is a luggage storage room off the lobby for you to use. The front desk staff were very friendly. There is free breakfast every morning and a... More

You couldn't find a more convenient hotel in NYC if you tried. Spent a long weekend in the city with my son to celebrate his college graduation and this was the perfect place to stay. Half a block from subway, one from Empire State Bldg., within walking distance of everything a tourist might want. Got a great rate from AAA.... More

We went for the 2014 Holiday season, it was very good! We were in 5 people, got a room for 2 and another one for 3. The room is absolutely confort and warm, the bath is also very good. The breakfast was OK, nothing special, sometimes crowded. The hotel location is very good, in the same street there's a Subway... More

It has small rooms but adequate if you are in NYC to see NYC. The location is perfect for all the Midtown attractions. It is also excellent for access to transport. The breakfast was the usual fare of cereals, toast, waffles, pancakes etc. and very adequately stocked. The rooftop bar was a highlight - you can almost touch the Empire... More

Like most NYC hotels the room was small, my daughter and I came the weekend before Christmas to see The Rockettes and shop. Was looking for a reasonable hotel as we had stayed at Times Square our last visit. The front desk staff was not that friendly. They said they had drinks from 5-? went at 5:15 wasn't set up... More

My husband I had a wonderful stay at the La Quinta Inn during our visit to NYC. With our AAA membership the price was hard to beat in Manhattan. The continental breakfast was a great way to start our day and save a little money on food. There was only one elevator working which was a real pain so I'd... More

Having booked at a different hotel in New York near Central Park and hating the tiny room, we decided to move to another hotel. Having stayed in La Quinta in Chicago, I decided to try my luck and book at another La Quinta. As luck may have it, I was able to book and move the very next day to... More

Myself and my daughter stayed here while on New York celebrating her 21st birthday. We had been to New York the previous year in August and had stayed closers to Times Square. we picked this hotel because we attended two events at Madison and my daughter wanted to do a lot of shopping. The area was perfect. We walked everywhere... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
