My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during a 5 night trip to NYC. The hotel is in a very convenient location, we were able to walk with our cases when we arrived into Penn Station from Newark. Our room was bigger than expected with a lovely bathroom and plenty of hot water. Service was good and the... More

The hotel has an excellent location and I believe a very good price value for Manhattan. The room was more spacious than expected and very clean. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The shower was fine and we had hot water. I appreciate that the hotel warned us that the first room we were offered might... More

The location of this hotel was just perfect. Two blocks from Penn station with access to both Amtrak as well as several subway lines. We stayed twice with a three day break between. Staff were especially good, very helpful and obliging and a major asset to the hotel. In particular we were given access to our rooms on arrival, well... More

Dear Anthony S, Thank you for your kind review. We’re glad you enjoyed both of your stays with us but we apologize for any noise during your first stay. The rooms in the front can be a bit noisy because many of the restaurants on our block are open 24/7. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again... More

I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times previously and have always enjoyed my stay. This time around I have noticed it was a lot busier so you struggled for a seat at breakfast some mornings. I also noticed a lot of people who weren't staying in the hotel visiting the bar on the 14th floor. Which I... More

We stayed here just for one night and were very pleased! We chose this hotel based off the price and location! Pros: Located in a great spot, close to Macys and a lot of other shopping. Room was very clean and modern. Free coffee downstairs, nice lobby, free wifi, and free breakfast. And also check-out isn't until noon which is... More

Stayed in LQ Manhattan for a week with our two kids, last week of april, and one thing I will tell you is that location is absolutely perfect. 2 blocks from Penn station, so if you don't have lots of luggage you will comfortably arrive by train or subway from JFK, without spending money on cab. (attendants are at the airport... More

This place is right where you want to be as a tourist in New York, you can walk everywhere, and it has a good view of the Empire State Building from its roof terrace bar, The rooms are small but adequate , Manhattan is expensive, breakfast is average included in cost but if you want more New York has millions... I stayed at La Quinta Manhattan with my Mother during a recent visit to New York. It was a pleasant hotel. Not too fancy, but clean and convenient. The location is great, it is round the corner from Macys & the Empire State Building, and a short walk to Times Square. There is a subway on the corner of the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
