My husband took me to NYC in January '12 for my Christmas present. We stayed at The Roosevelt & it was wonderful! Old time classic! The lobby was beautiful! Our upgraded room was not ready when we arrived but the bellhop staff were wonderful helping us with the luggage. The hotel is so very close to all of the attractions... More

Some staff were really helpful, others not so much. The hotel is good for the money in a great location bang opposite grand central station so perfect for getting around but most places within walking distance. Rooms need updating, bathroom especially but generally was ok for us as we only slept there. Only gripe really was the noise from outside... More

LOVE the Roosevelt! It's conveniently located near the city attractions and transportation (times square, broadway, shopping, grand central...). The ambience and the character of the historic building makes all the difference vs staying in a "chain". The staff was helpful, we were able to get a grab and go ny bagel and coffee, or have a seat and take our... More

My family stayed at the Roosevelt just before Christmas and we were very pleased.(This is the second time here for us.) The newly refurbished rooms were nice and very clean. Despite the hotel being fully booked, the staff was always friendly, patient and extremely helpful. When housekeeping was called for extra towels and pillows, they were prompt and pleasant. The... The location was very central and from where time sqare and central park zoo is very near. But the hotel was extremely congested and the rooms were far too small except a few. The service was ok but the bathroom was very small and the bathtub was not big enough and it had cracks on it. The only thing that... More

The room was boiling hot and barely cooled off with the window open; the walls are thin and the couple next door was loud; only the price was good. Wouldn't want to stay here again. More

I like this hotel, when you walk in, you can tell it's had it's days in Old School, New York splendor. I can imagine the lobby filled with bankers and wise guys in the 40's. The rooms are clean and nice. The beds could be just a little bigger, but I found the place more than satisfactory. The location is... More

I recently stayed at The Roosevelt with some girlfriends. The location was convenient to everywhere we needed to be. The rooms were a good size for NYC. Everything was clean for the most part (a little mildew in the showers). The beds were very comfortable. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again! More
