Recently stayed here for a conference in NYC. The hotel is very close to Grand Central Station and Rockefeller Center... Numerous shopping and dining areas nearby. The rooms are spacious but slightly dated. Only complaint is the noise (tough to sleep) but that's NYC!

Roosevelt hotel is ok, good location if shopping on Madison or 5th Avenue is what your looking for. I was here in December so may have been extra busy because of Christmas shopping, but was always cues for reception , long waits for elevators etc. And the staff were not particularly attentive with a few exceptions. The rooms are comfortable... More

Spent 3 nights at Roosevelt Hotel on recommendation of a friend. Centrally located near Times Square, Grand Central Station, etc. Hotel Limo driver was very courteous, knowledgeable, etc. Rooms were clean and well appointed. This is NYC so don't expect large rooms due to age of hotels. Lobby bar was well stocked, reasonably priced and good service. Can't vouch for... More

Like most hotel rooms on Manhattan, the rooms here are small. They are not so bad if you only have one double bed, but prepare to squeeze by each other if you have more than one bed. The bathroom in our room was in need of new wall paper. It, too, is small and needs a larger shelf for toiletries.... More

Just went to New York City for a couple days and stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel. What a place...so beautiful and the employees there are so professional and helpful. Feels like a very ritzy hotel. Lots of restaurants and shops are walking distance along with grand central station. Will definitely stay there on my next trip to the city.

This was my second and last time staying here at Christmas. The ONLY reason I won't return is the awful front desk attitude. Our room wasn't ready on a Saturday after being up since 8 am to take the train at 6:00 PM.! Check-in is at three----they offered no apology, did not act like they cared at all, gave me... More

Went to the USA on a business trip that involved staying in 3 different hotels. The Roosevelt was the first of the 3 and most certainly the worst. My colleague had a terrible time trying to book the room and pay in advance with the company credit card - booking staff would not accept email confirmation from her, she had... More

There are many better alternatives! Our room on the 14th floor was incredibly hot and the air conditioner couldn't cool the room and made a ton of noise. We opened the window but even with outside Temps in the 40s it still never cooled down. The bathroom is from the 60s at best. This hotel needs major updating and better... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
