Lovely old style hotel , the service from the bell man to the maid service was excellent,we were on the 28th floor and had great elevator service, the room was a decent size for the 4 of us, my wife and two kids ( 17 & 16 ) . My only complaint is that there is no free wi/if ,... More

Reading these reviews made me super nervous for my stay at the Roosevelt. So in their defence I really feel the need to write my own review. This weekend my boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights and had booked a queen room. We arrived in NYC around 8am and wanted to simply drop our luggage off at the hotel.... More

What an awful place to stay!! Good luck getting an elevator any other time than 3AM. 15-20 wait min for an elevator that is not already full. The rooms are OK. Not great, not terrible. Watch out for the $50 security deposit AND THEN ANOTHER $50 security deposit right before you check out. For what??? Breakfast, LOL. $30 for the... More

Staff is moderately friendly. Facilities are very old and obsolete. Beds are poor with old springs. If you sleep at 2 in one bed, every movement wakes up the other ! But the most appalling is that the hotel charges 16$ a day for wifi.

My partner and I were on our "one in a lifetime holiday" in April and we did 3 nights in Las Vegas, 4 in New York and 7 in Orlando. Having had a great time in Las Vegas we couldn't wait to get to New York. New York was awesome but wished we had picked a different hotel. It cost... More

The hotel, in it's time, was probably one of the most expensive hotels in New York. However, it has seen better days and the overall maintenance has been let slip a little. Many of the fixtures and fittings are original could really do with replacing. Having said that, if these updates happened the cost to stay here would rise correspondingly.... More

Chose this hotel for its convenient location and great summer rate, and we weren't disappointed. Received free wifi by booking on hotel's website. Room size was generous, especially for NYC, and clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved being in such a central location. We walked everywhere, and with Grand Central Station around the corner, it was... More

Walked into the lobby and felt like first class.. Went into the room and felt like trash. The air conditioner was terrible...awful for a hot August day. Before climbing into bed and viewing the sheet under the comforter.. Noticed speckles of red/dark colored blood. (Sick to my stomach) don't let me begin to tell you what they did for me... More

As soon as we walked into the room it was disappointment, the first thing that hit us was a loud rattling noise, which turned out to be the air conditioning, the room was absolutely tiny not enough room to open both suit cases at once, an ironing board and iron was provided but again not enough room to open the... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
