The Roosevelt Hotel is a great place to stay. The lobby is old classic and beautiful. Fantastic location within walking distance of many attractions and a couple of blocks from the train and metro station. Room was small but clean. Staff were nice and helpful. I would stay there again.

We had four people but wanted to stay in the same room. It is very difficult to find in New York two queen beds. This hotel however had a little room that really had two good beds that forks people could share we found it to be a tremendous value!I think the next time we bring family to New York... More

I recently stayed at the Roosevelt hotel for 4 nights. It is an older hotel but has the historical charm of New York. Well maintained and very clean. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was adequate. The staff were very helpful and professionally pleasant. I had a corner room that was very roomy. Great location! Just a block from Grand Central... More

The lobby you would think the rooms are going to be immaculate. The rooms were dirty. I know it's an old hotel, we love the old feeling and fixtures, but dirty. The bathroom was dirty, you can tell it's not cleaned properly, ever! The soap dish had so much silicone around it, it was crazy. The towels smelled. The bedsheets... More

My second stay 10 years apart. Still a little tired but asked and got an upgrade to a junior suite. Very comfortable and all staff we met were helpful and keen to serve. Breakfast was really good and worth getting as part of a package. The location is great and really recommend the Oyster bar restaurant in Grand Central Station... More

We visited The Roosevelt from the 28th December to 1st January. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit nervous about going. But we arrived and checked in ok, staff at front desk were friendly. We were upgraded to a larger room, which we were grateful of as the 'larger' room we got was just an ok size!... More

This is our 4th stay at the Roosevelt in the past few years. Every year the service is consistently excellent from the time we arrive (the great doorman who has been there for 20 year, love him) to the desk services, to the room, and to check out we are always amazed at how well we are treated. Everyone seems... More

Great location. Within a short walk to Times Square and Broadway. Doorman was very friendly and always helpful. Front desk staff seemed pleasant enough. Lobby was absolutely gorgeous which led me to believe that room would be much nicer. We were very disappointed with the room itself. We were under the assumption that rooms would have decent views, which was... More

Over the years, the Roosevelt has been the "go to" hotel for overnight junkets we've taken to catch a show or concert while visiting family upstate. In the past, it has proven to be a good value in terms of accommodations/price and proximity to major transportation hubs. The proximity hasn't changed, but the accommodations have. We will not be revisiting.... More

We love the Roosevelt; over all the hotels we have tried over the past 10 years, we try to go back there every January or March; this year when I called the day prior to arrival, they didnt have my reservation; the lady was so helpful, but just didnt have it! She advised me to call the 800 number where... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
