I was 5 nights there. Paying a Superior room, with two beds, they give us one that are small. Some of the days we don't have towels in room and was necessary call front desk some times. At the end, we have a problem with the key and we need call security to go inside the room. In any aspects,... more

my wife and i and a teen stayed there for a weekend. like all the reviews before , we were blown away by the lobby area. it was very grand. the front desk was helpful even though we got there very late and we thought our reservation might not be honored (bus problems). they gave us 2 double beds. the... more

Hotel was reccomended to us by a friend. I had read all the reviews and was a bit alarmed by some of them, decided to bite the bullet and see for myself. the hotel was fantastic, location was great, staff were very helpful (had read that all the staff were interested in was looking for tips, I thought they were... more

Great location, great price....if you want a room the size of a football field, stay at the Ritz. Being the only smoker (sinner) on the planet, it was great to come back home after a long day's adventure and enjoy a cig and a beer in my room. Warning......if you are coming here to get mugged, find a seedy bar,... more

We stayed here for 5 nights in total... (1 night then we checked out to go and do a two night side trip to Niagra Falls, and then back for a further 4 nights) While we were waiting for our room to be ready (we arrived at 4 pm and had to wait for 2 hours!!) I made initial enquiries... more

First thing first about this hotel. The checkin is and always is, HORRIBLE! We have had three stays here and not once have we got into a room early, that we asked for weeks in advance and which they said they would try to accomodate. But it never happened. We also had to wait twice past the check in time... more

The Roosevelt staff was efficient and friendly. We stayed in a "Cozy Double". The housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning an old room. The linens were always fresh and they replaced the free toiletries. Overall room condition needed some work. There was mold inside the a/c unit, with some mold spots on the wall by the a/c unit. The... more

The Hotel in general was very clean, elegant and the atmosphere was inviting. The receptionists, concierge, and staff were friendly. The location was spot on, very close to shopping, a walking distance to Times Square, Broadway Theatres, subway, etc. My only disappointment was that the housekeeping staff were loud in the morning (no consideration for visitors who are trying to... more

Generally speaking if you get a GREAT rate go ahead and book. On the positive side Great Location; grand old fashion lobby; rooms are clean and roomy for NY standard. On the negative side cold service; rooms are outdated, not much amenities in room (plastic cups, only shampoo no conditioner or shower gel) more

Stayed at the Roosevelt for a weekend getaway to New York. We reaped the benefits of the Travelzoo discount, paying $175/night (including all taxes which in NYC are extraordinarily high). Unlike some reviewers on here, I noticed no distinction in treatment by having booked online through a discount outlet. We got to the hotel at about noon and our rooms... more
