Good location, very convenient walk from Grand Central. The rooms are small. My room was incredibly hot. I turned on the air and the room was still so hot it was like trying to sleep in a sauna. The staff was very friendly. The place is just way past it's prime. If you are looking for conveniences, don't stay here.

Have just come back 5 days in New York staying at this hotel. This was my 5th visit to NY and although the location of this hotel is great, I have stayed at much nicer hotels in the city (but also paid a lot more). The only thing letting this hotel down is that the rooms and bathrooms especially are... More

We loved our stay here. Right from the time we arrived, the doorman offered to take our bags. Knew before we booked that the room wouldn't have a coffee maker etc., but we enjoyed the coffee lounge downstairs.Prices I thought were reasonable and the staff were courteous. We stayed in a double queen room and it was lovely. Warm, cosy and... More

We have stayed at this hotel twice in the past year. As many have stated the lobby is beautiful but the rooms are a bit dated. However I have found the rooms and linens to be clean. Others have stated that they have found the staff to be rude, but I have not experienced this. The location is very good... More

The lobby of the hotel is nice, but you don't spend much time in the lobby. The room was pretty small and hadn't been updated in a while. It had a TV, a bed with two small nightstands, and a small desk. There really wasn't anywhere to lay things out or store them. For some reason, the carpet is run... More

This was our second visit to the Roosevelt. The lobby is beautiful! It is what I think a NY hotel should look like. The rooms aren't huge, but we sleep and shower there, so we are perfectly happy with a clean, comfortable room. The desk staff is helpful and friendly. And you can't beat the location - close to Grand... More

The Roosevelt Hotel is a great place to stay. The lobby is old classic and beautiful. Fantastic location within walking distance of many attractions and a couple of blocks from the train and metro station. Room was small but clean. Staff were nice and helpful. I would stay there again.

My husband, daughter and I stayed at this hotel together for 10 nights from New Years Eve through to January 9th. On arrival, a very gentlemanly, slick looking doorman in a black suit and top hat greeted us with a big smile and helped us through the revolving doors of the hotel. Very movie like. Walking up the stairs into... More

We had four people but wanted to stay in the same room. It is very difficult to find in New York two queen beds. This hotel however had a little room that really had two good beds that forks people could share we found it to be a tremendous value!I think the next time we bring family to New York... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
