Hotel is comfartable with very polite and helpful staff. Rooms require a slight refubishment but this did not spoil my families 5 night stay. Situated on E45th Street and in a great central position for quick walks to Grand Central Station, 5th Avenue, Central Park, Rockefeller Centre and Central Park. Great place to eat nearby for all tastes and vegeterians... More

I stayed at the Roosevelt for one evening for a business trip. Pros: good location centrally located to all things locally such as Rockefeller Center, Times Square etc. Comfy bed- relatively quiet if you have a higher floor as far as street noise. Staff pretty nice. Fast check in and check out Cons: not all rooms have refrigerators or microwaves... More

My wife and I just spent a week at this historic hotel. We had a very spacious room, comfortable bed, and great shower. I felt the price at $229/night was good. No coffee pot in the room , no fridge, and no free internet ( $19/day from iBahn). The bathroom while spacious lacked shelving and places for makeup and accessories.... More

On the positive side, the location in mid-town is good, and the staff rather helpful. This said this place is in serious need of refurbishment. It looks old, smells old, and feels crammed and stuffy. When you enter your room you have the impression of having a pick-up truck roaring, only to find out it's the air-conditioning unit.. They have... More

Needed a location close to Grand Central but one that would not break the bank. Found a great rate for three nights and could not have wanted much more. The king room was a tad small as it was sandwiched in a triangle between squared rooms but the room was clean, quiet, and served us well. Highly recommend this spot... More

This hotel is in the absolute perfect location to explore New York. 2 blocks down from Times Square and a max 15 minute walk from attractions like the Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, Grand Central Station and close to a subway anyhow. The hotel itself has a lot of character, the beds are massive and comfortable, the cleaning of the... More

I found the hotel to be comfortable and appreciated the very convenient location.Front desk service was fast and friendly. The room while small was comfortable and clean for a very reasonable price . I would gladly stay there again for a quick stop in Nyc for business or a night on the town .

Two friends and I stayed at The Roosevelt in April 2015. The hotel lobby is very grand and the concierge/porters/desk were pleasant and helpful. We had a double suite for three nights and found the room to be smaller than expected but adequate as we didn't spend much time in there - it was really just a place to sleep... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
