I stayed at the Roosevelt with my best friend, perfect hotel for a luxurious girly wkend in New York, the decor is wow when you walk into the lobby, lovely helpful staff & great location to visit the must see sights of Manhattan. Pancakes for breakfast in the restaurant were amazing.

We stayed at The Roosevelt last week for 4 nights and had a wonderfull stay. The check-in was quick, friendly and our room was ready before check-in time. As many many many people already wrote the lobby is busy and wonderfull. We had no problems with the elevators. We were at the 15th floor and had to wait never longer... More

The lobby of hotel is beautiful. But does not reflect the room we were in. The reception staff were pretty miserable and not the American all happy welcome I was wanting and expecting which was a total downer. The roof top bar was closed as it was memorial weekend! Another downer. Staff didn't know how to get up there when... More

The Reception staff do not get you off to a good start when you check in. They are distinctly unfriendly to the point of aggressive. I was checking in on my own, as my husband was straight off to meetings on our arrival in New York, yet I was treated as some sort of con artist as I 'wasn't on... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights, we had expected a picturesk room like the website had shown yet when we arrived we were greeted with one bed and a TV basically in the room nothing else. The heating blew out red hot air through out the night and when we phoned down to reception for help we... More

WE really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was our first time in New York and couldn't find a place to stay with reasonable prices. Then someone said to look at The Roosevelt. The prices were reasonable for Mid Town. The history of the hotel is interesting, and old world glamour of the lobby alone made it a perfect... More

This was my second visit to New York but my first time staying at The Roosevelt. Although certain areas are a bit dated especially the bathroom, I would still recommend staying here. The rooms are cleaned daily along with fresh towels and the beds and pillows are so comfortable. The only down side for me is that some of the... More

Before going to N.Y. City, I had read some reviews on the Roosevelt Hotel and found that the hotel rooms had been renovated since the reviews. The main lobby is impressive and the rooms have been freshly revived. Missing was a chest of drawers in an otherwise good room. I discovered that you need to just ask for a coffee... More

This hotel is in a fabulous location, not too far from the action, but far enough away that the 'action' doesn't disturb your sleep. The staff was exceptionally friendly and more than willing to help in every possible way. We were there for almost a week so even the housekeeping staff became familiar with us. One of the ladies even... More

We stayed here for 5 days in Mid April 2015. Our room was not really fit for purpose in any way. To say this double was compact is an understatement. The bed was nice and comfy and that is the only positive i can come up with. the wardrobe space was so small our cloths stayed in the suit cases... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
