Classic NYC hotel with great location. The proximity to Grand Central was why I picked the hotel. It is close to Times Square as well. This is an older classic hotel that is well maintained. Staff was very good and very attentive. If you can get a competitive rate I would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for a week in april/May 2015. Good beds, for NY pretty "Large" hotelroom, with 2 queen beds and decent bathroom and in the surroundings enough places to have breakfast. We recommand Blake & Todds. But also organic braeakfastshop and Dunkin' Donut in same Street. And a Starbucks. Nice place to get everywhere in NY. Grand Central 1... More

The check in desk staff were not very friendly or welcoming! The rooms are tired and small but very comfortable beds!! The breakfast was lovely and the staff in the dining room were much nicer! The elevators were a nightmare and kept breaking down! We walked more than once from the 16th floor! However the location is fantastic and the... More

We stayed May 2-4. Nice location, one block form 5th avenue, and Grand Central, a few blocks from Time Square. The bed was comfortable but the room was very noisy (street traffic), no coffee machine. Small old bathroom, bathtub with chipped enamel, no place to put your toilet case. VERY slow elevators. I am glad we were at the 6th... More

Good location that is easy to get to from Grand Central Station. The entrance is grand but the rest of the hotel and rooms do not live up to this entrance. Our room was on the 18th floor and each time we had to wait for than 10 minutes for the elevators. When they did come, there was no guarantee... More

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and lots of character in general! It is located conveniently close to Grand Central Terminal and in a good location for some of the major tourist attractions and shopping. The staff, especially for breakfast in the Roosevelt Grill went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed! The room we... More

I stayed here with my husband and 2 daughters age 21 & 23. We went for our daughters 21st birthday. There was thick snow everywhere and it was -7c when we landed. It was a bit of a shock but when we got to the hotel @ 1.30am the staff were amazingly helpful. All we wanted was to go to... More

I went to New York in Jan 2015 with my work - who had booked the trip. When i walked into the lobby, i was really impressed as it's gorgeous! The room's are not quite as nice though - they are your standard rooms. The bathroom was a nice size though - and the heater in the room was very... More

Great stay at this hotel. Would recommend either for business or pleasure. Nice lobby area with plenty of lounging space. While the hotel has some old bones, it is well kept and maintained. Easy walk to Rockefeller Center, St. Patricks etc... and other attractions. While at the same time, business travellers are not far either from their destinations Received a... More

Hello to all, a life long friend and I traveled to NYC after losing touch for 20 years for a girlfriend's weekend. Truly just a great weekend and special event planned at Lincoln Center, Paulette was very personable yet appropriate in sharing with us our fun plans for the weekend. Tony at the Bell Staff front entry curb was also... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
