I had an awful experience! The hotel looks old and unkept. Upon check-in I was informed that my room would have only one bed, even though I had booked a room for two. I asked for a room with 2 beds or a roller bed and was told that would not be possible unless I upgraded; which happened to be... More

Don't be fooled by the grand foyer, we arrived after 25+ hours in transit from Australia (with 2 kids in tow) at 8pm at night to be told our room wasn't ready. We were sent to sit at the bar for over an 1 hour. Eventually after we asked many times, it was ready (no one came to tell us).... More

Stayed here for a weekend recently. We had high hopes for this place since it does have a sense of class. If it ever had it doesn't anymore... First of all how can you charge $17 per day for internet access? It is free just a few feet away from the entrance at Starbucks or even Applestore at Grand Central... More

4 day trip with husband and 12 yr old to New York- our first time there. Hotel Room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. We really would have liked wifi included in the price and a tea/coffee maker in the room. A bit of confusion with the room and floor , but it was worked out to our... More

Great location. Storied hotel. Old hotel , but they try to keep it up to date.some rooms are extremely small. But it's ny, so we love it. MAD 46 is a cute rooftop bar. The only thing I can complain about is the fact i never want to leave NYC.

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. As soon as you walk in you walk into a different world (back to the 1920's) but somehow contemporary style has been woven into the ambiance. The lobby is great, good for a drink and a chat, the concierge know everything and dream away about all the things that have taken place in... More

The Roosevelt is a older hotel in need of some cosmetic improvements. The rooms are small and typical of a nyc hotel. Our air wasn't working well at first, but after a phone call maintenance arrived. There is no free wifi in the rooms. And no coffee maker or fridge.

We have just returned from a weeks stay in The Roosevelt Hotel NYC. On first impression the lobby was amazing with beautiful decor, furnishings and carpets. On receiving our room it was quite dated with two double beds which were comfortable. The bathroom however was totally inadequate with no space to hold toilet bags etc. the bath enable was very... This hotel was recommended by a co-worker who stays here whenever she comes to NYC. After reading some of the complaints, I was a bit nervous, but also aware some people will never be happy no matter what! This place was everything we needed. Yes, it’s old, but it is charming, and it is beautiful, and it has a great... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
