We splurged a little and stayed at this historic hotel in New York City. We usually try to find a room for under $300/night but we had heard about The Roosevelt from a friend and since we were celebrating a special occasion, we decided to give it a try. It was beautiful, and it was a pretty good location -... More

Not plush, not charming, but reliable, and great location for visitors to New York. Have your breakfast out of hotel and eateries all over, and save $.Walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, etc. Near subways.

Great location, very close to Grand Central Station. Check-in was easy and very courteous. Large lobby. Room was clean. Was on high floor and didn't hear much noise. Shower had great pressure which is always a nice plus. Would stay again.

Despite reading negative reviews on this hotel we had a lovely room, exactly like the pictures, with a large comfortable bed a clean and very spacious bathroom and everything we could want for a few nights in NYC. The room was on the 8th floor and was very quiet at the back of the hotel; there are plenty of lifts,... More

Awesome old world architecture, but the highlight is the location. Next to Grand Central so hopping on any line all over Manhattan was easy. Next to Park Ave and other upmarket shopping areas. We had a room on the 15th floor in the corner. It was spacious, and the best comfortable bed! TV, small refrigerator and a safe for valuables.... More

Great location, price and room in Manhattan. Walking distance to Times Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building. Don't think most rooms have a view. Sometimes hard to get on elevator because hotel is popular. Loved our stay and would stay again.

The Hotel is easy to get to and very easy to find. It is across the street from the subway station and within walking distance of Times Square. We got a great rate on expedia during the Black Friday specials - however when we were checking in the front desk employee mentioned that expedia had booked us the smallest room... More

Recently stayed here for a conference in NYC. The hotel is very close to Grand Central Station and Rockefeller Center... Numerous shopping and dining areas nearby. The rooms are spacious but slightly dated. Only complaint is the noise (tough to sleep) but that's NYC!

Roosevelt hotel is ok, good location if shopping on Madison or 5th Avenue is what your looking for. I was here in December so may have been extra busy because of Christmas shopping, but was always cues for reception , long waits for elevators etc. And the staff were not particularly attentive with a few exceptions. The rooms are comfortable... More

Spent 3 nights at Roosevelt Hotel on recommendation of a friend. Centrally located near Times Square, Grand Central Station, etc. Hotel Limo driver was very courteous, knowledgeable, etc. Rooms were clean and well appointed. This is NYC so don't expect large rooms due to age of hotels. Lobby bar was well stocked, reasonably priced and good service. Can't vouch for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
