Room (5th floor) was tiny, cold, old and worn down. Space heater didn't do a whole lot since I was worried it would catch the bedding or curtains on fire. Really no room to use it safely. Bathroom was tiny and unclean, borderline nasty. Wifi sucked hard. Real hard. On upper floors it seemed to work better. There's a different... More

It gets one star because of the location and the great breakfast. The staff is rude and incompetent. The hotel is filthy, the heating did not work, the room are the tiniest I have ever seen... So disappointed! And for 150$ a night you could expect more, even in NYC.

Now why is this property a 2 star? Let's break down the pros and cons for you if you are considering this property. Pros: + Located a block from the Strawberry Fields in Central Park, and a mere 5-7 minute walk from the Museum of Natural History. Alternatively, you can even walk to Times Square on a nice day, which... More

Stayed there before . Gave them another chance but it is just bad. Rooms are NOT clean , hairs in the shower etc. Smallest room i ever stayed in even for NYC standards. Showers don't work properly. You better off spend $30-$40 more and stay elsewhere.

I got a good deal for a hotel in a great location. It is not a fancy hotel, but it was more than enough for us, considering we spent most of the day in the city. The location of the hotel is it´s best feature, a very nice and quite street, near Central Park, the Opera, the Museum of Natural... More

We were looking for a comfortable and convenient budget hotel in New York City and this met all our needs. It's location was great and we liked the facilities. Yes, the room was very, very small but hey, this is New York! The free breakfast was a welcome add on. The facilities were clean and we enjoyed our stay. The... More

Great location! Close enough to walk to Times Square but just far enough out of reach from the 'flash and hubbub' to give you a quiet night's sleep. The rooms are on the small side but charming, clean and cozy. The bathroom was also small but clean and sufficiently appointed. As others have mentioned, the elevator is on the slow side,... More

My friend and I checked in yesterday and were a little worried because the hotel was dirty and decrepit. The man who checked us in did not have a name tag or anything. When we went up to our room, we opened the door, put our things down, turned on the light, AND THERE WAS A LADY SLEEPING IN OUR... More

Although this hotel offers a convenient location, we had the worst experience in it, which offers a number of "extremes". The room we got is extremely small, which is just a little larger than the bed, with no room for any chairs, desk, or even suitcases. It has the smallest bathroom I have ever seen, with an extremely small sink... More

This hotel is only half a block from the Strawberry Fields section of Central Park and a short walk from either the Natural History Museum or Columbus Circle. For the foodies out there it is also very handy to Zabar's a must visit for me whenever I am in town. Of course, the rooms are a little on the small... More
