The hotel has great location, next to Central Park, metro station is 5 min walking. The rooms are small and very basic. After reading some reviews I realized that our room was one of the worse (211) and actually one of the smallest, but since we were busy with exploring NYC we never asked to change. the problem was that... The hotel is in a prime location (across from central park, short distance to the subway), in the quieter part of NYC. Even though the room is pretty basic, it is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful, I was able to leave my luggage both before check-in and after check-out. The downside is lack of free wifi.

I think the price is very reasonable for what you get, I stayed here last week and the only few things that I would complain about was the size of the lift, you can only fit two people in there maximum (one if you had suitcases) this was a problem being on a higher floor and the staircases are very... I stayed for 2 weeks in this hotel. Room is clean, as well as the bathroom. Many things need improvement, like towels, which in many cases were old and not soft to the touch. There is no safe box in room. The rooms are noisy (you can hear steps from people walking I'm hallways, for instance). There are not many... More

Although I was initially very disappointed in the first impressions of this hotel - I changed my mind. You don't go to New York to sit in a hotel. Yes it was basic, but it was clean. Clean towels etc every day and staff who were very helpful with good advice. It's location was a bit out of everything, but... More

I stayed here in winter 2015 with my girlfriend. We got a pretty good deal on it so wasn't expecting much so we weren't disappointed. It was nice enough, check in and out was quick, the staff were helpful and friendly, the room had a tv,no kettle, a radiator and aircon(for summer). The radiators seemed to be on at random... More

We booked through a travel agent who said it would be cheap and cheerful, well I would say cheap not cheerful. Hallway smelled stale. Our room was musky. We ended up with a flu on out first few days that got worse for our onward holiday in Orlando. It was due to damp bedding and a musky room. However the... More

The room was freezing cold. 1st radiator heat did not work at all. 2. bed was less 120cm and about 180 long (we ordered Room Type: Double Room - Standard 1 Bed). 3. When I aired duvet there were hairs in several places in bed. We contacted reception. They changed the bed sheets. They could not fix the heat and... More

Stayed here in November for 5 nights, the location is brilliant for Central Park but a walk to Times Square and 5th avenue was at least a 40-50 minute walk, but there is a subway located on 103 street which is fantastic to take you to 42nd which is where the main attractions are! Only $2.75 (something like that) the... More
