I was looking for a really cheap hotel, relatively central, and in a safe area, that was clean and comfortable. This hotel was very cheap, the receptionist was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and there was air conditioning. The reason I don't give this a 4* excellent is for three reasons. 1. No free wifi. 2. No conveniently... More

II don't understand reviewers saying that the hotel disappointed them. What do you guys expect paying 200 usd per night in Manhattan? Yeah, the staff don't care about you. Yeah, the rooms aren't luxurious. But you are getting value here. Walk around Manhattan all day, return to the hotel, take a shower and get some rest, and that's it. The... More

Pros: Nice location Good price Nice bathroom Cons: Indifferent staff Dingy Very small room - looked onto a lightwell Very noisy AC - bothered sleep Double not a queen bed and soft mattress I wouldn't go back - if you are on a tight budget - it would be OK; just OK Probably a better choice for 20 somethings

If you are looking for a bargain hotel in the Upper West Side, this is the place to stay. We were able to stay here for 80-100 dollars cheaper than most other hotels in the area. Although it is not ritzy by any means, this is a perfect place to stay if you simply need a place to crash. The... More

Decent deal for manhattan although a bit more north than I am used to. This is at the very north end of the park. Room was small but clean. No complaints. Price was fair. 2 things bothered me- you have to pay for WIFI which is bullpoop but we did anyway- $10 per day per computer. Well, it could not... More

Stayed here for 4 days, 3 nights. What an amazing hotel! Its not the fanciest but the staff were SO friendly and SO helpful! I was a little worried after reading trip advisor reviews but honestly, it was not even close to the great experience we had. I'm from Canada and all of our hotels have a ton of amenities... More

No free wifi. But the location is great, right next to the west of the central park. But not convenient if you wanna go to time square. The subway is closed to the hotel. If you want a private bathroom and closed to.subway when stay in Manhattan, it is a good spot! But u might hear the training running all... More

Firstly, I'd like to say we're in our late 20's early 30's newly married and were on a budget and love exploring. Astor on the park is a 3 star hotel. Bad reviews on here are laughable - you get what you pay for. It's clean. The maid service has to be one of the best I have come across,... More

I booked a room via booking.com for a twin bedded room at the Astor on the Park due to its location. The room would of been $158.41 for one night to include all local taxes. I got Confirmation of the booking with an arrival time of 3.00pm. I arrived at 3.15pm and was told I had no reservation. I was... More
