Well priced hotel booked through Hotwire - it is not directly in the city centre, but a quick cab ride into times square and nearby to a metro stop. Was directly across from Central Park which was nice...rooms are very basic, but for us (3 girls in their mid 20's) it was perfect as we were not there to spend... More

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was everything we expected for a 3 star hotel. We never had one day that our room wasn't cleaned and tidied. We got a lot of help from the reception staff and everyday they helped. They gave us things to help get around from maps to vouchers. The room... More

Oh dear, this place needs a rip out or do the decent thing and just close down. There is no proper heating system. It's one thing having sleep in your coat but more of a challenge when you've been out in torrential rain and you can't get your coat dry enough to sleep in. What little heating available, went off... My husband and I decided to give this hotel a try during our weekend getaway to New York City and was disappointed with the quality of the hotel vs. the price we paid for the hotel room. The room was very small - which wasn't as much of an issue, but the quality of the room was not great. The... More

Turned up at this hotel in early December 2014 for a two night stay but immediately checked out once we saw the room!! (Looked at another room too). The hotel is very tired, the rooms are dirty with lots of damage to furniture and bathroom fittings. The lobby, entrance, stairs and elevator were filthy and very very tired too. The... More

My husband and I spent one night at this Hotel in early October. I'll give you the good, the bad and the ugly about this place. First the good - location across the street from Central Park, doormen and desk clerks were friendly, very affordable, no bed bugs. The bad - no thermostat in the room (it was very hot... More

My friend and I stayed at the Astor on the Park in November 2014. We got in at 5pm and there were no issues checking in. The consierge was kind enough to show us how to use the shower (seems as thought some people didn't know how). The elevator is a little small and would probably fit 2 people plus... More

The rooms are too small, almost claustrophobic. It is a rundown building. Everything looks so bad and even I didn't find anything like rats or cockroaches my impression that I would any time. The staff is nice. It is not their fault. I paid for three nights but I stayed only two. I moved to another hotel and pay for... More

Stayed here for one night. We needed somewhere to stay before we joined a cruise and our budget didn't really stretch to usual NYC prices! This was so cheap, we knew it was a bit far out but we really only wanted a place to lay our head for the night. Hotel was fine for us, room was biggest we... More
