I was looking for somewhere to stay on a budget for a few nights a week, rather than commuting daily from Philadelphia. Its very basic, but clean. Bathrooms are new and in good order, with plentiful hot water. Rooms are simple; small with a comfortable bed and a decent size TV with a few mainstream channels. Subway station is a... More

We stayed here 13th- 18th December 2013 and had an amazing time! The only down point was the accommodation. The hotel is very basic, our room was very small, and there were noisy pipes and general hotel noise throughout the night that kept us up on a couple of occasions. However, having chosen this hotel because it was cheap, we... More

It was my third stay at the A-on-the-P. (I wanted to try something new, to the south, but, alas, at nobody could beat the price/quality ratio.) This time I have got a room with the view of the Central Park - a bleakly one in January. All was good, as usual, and I can report an improvement in their ventilation... More

Staff was wonderful helpful and friendly. They called restaurants for me, inquired often if I needed help or how they could help. Room was clean and smelled nice. I would suggest this hotel to anyone and will visit again.

M fiancé and I stayed at Astor on the Park for her 30th birthday on December 22nd 2014. We tried to shower on her actual birthday and they had no hot water for us to shower during the day or in the evening. We complained to the staff and they said they already recommended to booking.com a 20% discount on... More

DON'T DO IT From sheets only on our bed, to a door that didn't seal, the hotel was a disappointment to begin with. Our heat didn't work and our window A/C unit poured in the freezing cold winter air. We had to call and beg for blankets, and the bed itself was basically a half a step better than sleeping... More

By all means, stay away from this place. It was advertised as a three star hotel which it is not. It might be a one star at best. The rooms do not look like the pics that the hotel ads convey. The rooms are FILTHY. The hotel is in a wonderful area of town but unfortunatley the location is going... More

We stayed for two days on the fourth floor. In the midst of our stay we came across several things; 1.our floor slanted at a 10 degree angle, which made my children scared 2.a giant pile of dog turds on our windowsill 3.cracking floors in the bathroom 4.no room in the rooms whatsoever Overall, the best thing was the location,... Well priced hotel booked through Hotwire - it is not directly in the city centre, but a quick cab ride into times square and nearby to a metro stop. Was directly across from Central Park which was nice...rooms are very basic, but for us (3 girls in their mid 20's) it was perfect as we were not there to spend... More

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was everything we expected for a 3 star hotel. We never had one day that our room wasn't cleaned and tidied. We got a lot of help from the reception staff and everyday they helped. They gave us things to help get around from maps to vouchers. The room... More
