We were in New York for Fordham’s graduation and decided to stay a few extra days to do touristy things. The location of the hotel (East 40th St between 5th and 6th Ave) was excellent. Grand Central Station was couple blocks away (trains to the Bronx for graduation events) and most other things were walking or short cab ride away.... More

Loved the King suite we had - was perfect for our family of four as mom and dad got a very nice king-sized bed in a separate bedroom (closing the door for some peace and quiet was NICE). Only downside was that the pullout sofa bed was not the best, and was only full size. Ok for our young daughters,... More

We booked this hotel as part of a vacation package, and as any good travel planner- you always check out Trip Advisor for reviews ( I think this hotel got some so-so reviews); here's my take on this hotel: Convenient - Location is very convenient, since it is off of 5th Ave, you're dead center of the East-West division of... Easy walking distance to times square, empire state building etc. Overall a great place to stay, comfortable rooms. Restaurant was closed for renovations, but a great deli next door. Complimentary tea and coffee station.

I was in NYC for business and stayed at the a Courtyard Marriott because of its central location. Rooms were nice and prices were very reasonable. The staff was friendly and the security has very good. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good place in midtown!

The location is the best - close to all the NY attractions. Hotel is small but nice and cozy. Staff was very friendly and helpful with all my requests and questions. Wi-Fi everywhere. A lot of nice rastaurants and Jazz bars around.

Staying at this hotel was more like an experience at a youth hostel than the experiences I have come to expect at a Marriott Courtyard. During my six-day stay the elevator rugs were vacuumed once: inexcusable. The lobby has been under construction preparing for a restaurant for more than a year. The hotel would do better to use that space... More

This hotel is very well situated, close to Time Square, Grand Central Station, the NY Public Library. Rooms are confortable. We had reserved for a room with 2 double beds and ended up in a room with a king size bed and a hideaway bed in the sofa. The hotel added a real mattress on the sofa-bed and it was... More

Was travelling to NY for 2 days and did a quick booking via internet. Main purpose was to stay at walking distance to many place around. This hotel is perfectly located on 5th Ave. 40th st. I believe . Hotel itself is quite small. No elaborate lobby just a small entrance with reception desk and concierge thats about. No restaurants... More

I stayed in room 1502, so I don't know if the problem I had was limited to my room, or was building wide. I checked in late (around midnight), and left at 6:45am, so all I was doing was ironing work clothes, showering, shaving, sleeping, and handling some work emails. Everything was fine, except for one issue. I'm a 34... More

BairdWallace, I am so sorry the water in your room was so hot. This is very unusual as we inspect water temperatures regularly. I will have one of my engineers look at this immediately. Thank you for bring this to our attention and once again I apologize. Sincerely, Scott S. General Manager More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
