We stayed here for 3 nights which was the duration of our first NY visit. The location is really excellent as we walked to almost all the tourist spots we were interested in checking out. The only times we used a cab was when we have to go to Battery Park and Chinatown. Rockefeller, Times Square and Central Park were... More

The staff is very nice but this place is a mess! Even under construction, it's obvious no one is paying attention to keeping things as clean as possible. Windows are dirty, the elevators streaked with finger prints and the entrance is anything but welcoming and attractive. My room has no literature to explain the hotel and what's here. There's no... LynneH13, I want to apologize for the experience you had staying in our hotel. I want to assure you cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us. We have lobby attendants who are constantly cleaning all of the public areas but with construction we have to be that much more vigilant. As far as the windows we have a thirty... More

I recently traveled to NYC on business, unsure of what to expect. I was very pleased with the level of customer service provided by the front desk and staff. I am particularly grateful for George with concierge services; he helped answer my questions and arranged transportation to and from the airport (this was a HUGE load off my mind). When... More

Earlier I have been to another Courtyard hotel which is few blocks at the Bryant Park. I was very happy from the Hotel given the budget I have. On my following trip I have been to this one and was completely disappointed despite not much price difference. Just to be fair, Rooms are clean and ok, Gym will do the... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. When we arrived in the morning around 9.30am, we were so happy as we can get an early check in by the friendly staff. Our room was at the 14th floor. Basic amenities are provided. Comfortable enough for traveller like us. They also provide free Starbucks coffee & hot... More

The location of this hotel is great and provides easy access to Broadway / Times Square...maybe 6-8 blocks away. It's an easy, safe walk to Rockefeller Center area too. There are no amenities here.. no bar or restaurant which normally wouldn't be a big deal, but we were stuck here during Snowmageddon 2016 without any food service. Nothing in the... More

CindyLS, I am so sorry to hear you were stuck here during “Snowmageddon”. This was the worst snow storm NYC has seen in 90 years. Subsequently many of the restaurants closed in this area which is highly unusual. The deli next door has stayed open for many snow storms. I do apologize for the thermostat not working. I hope you... The rooms are small but it's a great location. Very fair rates. ask for a "corner" room And 01 room number. You'll wonder how small the regular rooms are when you see the corner room. service was great and all of the employees were pleasant during our week long stay. George is the BEST bellman!!!

We used points to pay for 2 nights. As many have noted, the location is excellent and the staff are great, but our double double bed room was very small and the beds could use new mattresses. They're not terrible, just starting to sag. There's not much attention to going green re recycling, reusing towels, etc. That said, we were... More

mid214, Thank you for mentioning our great location, I agree we are in a prime area of NYC convenient to go to many of the major site seeing areas of the city. As far as the beds, the majority of the mattresses were replaced in 2013 so they are a little over two years old and the rest were just... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
