I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on may. I choosed it because of the price (the lowest in the area) and because of its position in the hearth of Manhattan, 5 minutes walk from the Empire. They give us a room at the 12 floor (the last) and it was quite hot inside, howevere the airconditioning freeze the... More

A pleasant surprise. Well kept, with nice rooms. Good value for money and decent location. A little more polish would make it quite attractive. Rooms on Lexington ave are less recommended and somewhat noisy.

I'm giving the hotel four stars instead of three, because it's so hard to find a hotel in NYC for under $200 a night- depending on time of year, this hotel is often very well priced, especially with discounts from AAA or AARP. It was clean and quiet, surprisingly so, although it seems small repairs are done very shoddily if... More

Hotel is clean and in a good location. Room price was OK. Staff (of indian origin, id say) was from totally unfriendly to plain rude. Stay away from breakfast, is awful. If you can bear with these two last things, is a good place to stay in new York.

This hotel was perfect for us , great location for us to explore New York , close to a subway station and walking distance to many of New Yorks main attractions. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. We would return should we visit New York again.

My husband and I spent 6 nights in Manhattan last week and could not have been more pleased with this hotel. After walking around the city it was nice to come back to a neighborhood and relax. Great location. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. We will definitely return.

Nothing to write home about but it does the job for a reasonable price (~$150/night). Great location and quiet enough. I have been told by many and have read reviews to not eat the breakfast in the morning but honestly I'm not sure why anyone would think that's a good idea. I would come here to stay reasonably again but... More

The hotel is on the Eastside of Manhattan, within walking distance of Grand Central or just one stop away. To get to the Westside (Broadway) it is very easy to get to Grand Central and then take the shuttle. The room was clean, quiet, with a good size TV. Breakfast is included. Friendly and helpful staff.

What this hotel is not: an upscale luxury hotel with all the amenities associated with that type of hotel. What it is: a reasonably priced hotel in a great location with a very functional room that is small but comfortable. My wife and I have stayed here almost a dozen times over the past few years. The hotel just renovated... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
