The Vincci chain are really reliable and always guarantee decent accommodation at a decent price. I have used them before and have always come away happy. The location in Manhatten is ideal for any traveller who wants to be close enough to the action without it being on their doorstep. The 6 train is only a couple of blocks away... more
Stayed at the Avalon for five nights in June for a girls-only trip and had a wonderful experience. Everyone from the front desk to management to housekeeping was friendly, helpful and very hospitality-oriented. We especially loved Curtis, the best doorman ever!! We had a queen suite, which was exactly as pictured on the hotel Web site. The room was quite... more
I always wanted to visit NYC in the Spring! And I was not disappointed... After a long flight we arrived at the hotel and were greeted with a warm smile at the reception as Mawy , the front desk agent checked us in to our room and was very helpful in offering us advice on where to shop and other... more
We stayed in a junior suite, I think we paid about $250 a night plus tax, which i thought was good value but mostly for the location. Our room wasnt great - a bit run down, the furniture is all really cheap, as is the laminate flooring! bathroom small too. BUT the bed was comfy. Had chocolates and champagne sent... more
This is a lovely hotel. We stayed there last November, my Mother and I, for a girlie shopping trip! Situated on 32nd Street beside 5th Avenue, it's location is fantastic for shopping! As well as exploring the rest of Manhattan. Macy's is a 2 minute walk (at which I totally recommend lunch there in their Cellar Bar & Grill -... more
We booked our rooms through Hotwire. We got the room at a good deal for $218. The location can't be beat. It is located between two subway lines and away from the crazy crowds in Times Square. The service we received was friendly, quick and efficient and the rooms were clean and comfortable, if a little worn. I especially liked... more
After reading other reviews we were very very concerned about staying at this hotel - how wrong were we to worry. I honestly believe people moan for the sake of moaning... The location of this hotel was fantastic - the Empire State building at the end of the road ,subway stations at either end of the road - 5 mins... more
We stayed here 7th April - 12th April the location of this hotel is excellent, it is very central for getting around and just around the corner from the Empire State Building. The room was dated but was comfortable and clean, hotel staff courteous, watch out for the 19 dollars per person for breakfast we didnt ask and got stung... more
This is a great Hotel. We were worried about this hotel after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor but we need not have. The Hotel is very clean and the staff extremely helpful. They made our stay very enjoyable. There were five of us in two junior suites, These rooms are very spacious and have spare blankets and pillows available. The... more
