I was NOT looking forward to staying at this hotel, but I needed the location. But, to my surprise, I really enjoyed staying there. I never saw the dining room, nor the gym…as I was only there one night. But the room was really spacious for New York, and the halls were cheerful, and the staff was friendly, and the... More

Stayed for 2 nights with family, lovely big room, staff seemed accommodating, fairly quiet on the 23rd floor, expensive compared to our other hotel stays but for the location, it's probably good value. Downside, public areas disappointing, we chose to eat out for breakfast.

We travelled as a party of four and all agreed the hotel was great value for money. Despite arrving early the receptionist organised two rooms for us without any fuss and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were very large with huge beds and importantly, they were spotless. Despite being in the centre of a very busy city, they... More

We wanted to be near the theater, museums , shops and restaurants but avoid the crushing crowds right out the front door. This hotel is conveniently situated to the subways however we walked everywhere including to the Met and Broadway as well as Central Park. Fifth and Park Avenue shops are just a few blocks away. There are expresso bars... More

Conveniently located midtown within walking distance of Central Park/5th Avenue and steps to two different subway lines. Not a five star hotel, but it met all our needs for a quite reasonable rate for NYC. Nice room. I appreciated the fact that although the valet parking was not cheap (as anything in this City), it was in line with the... More

Best room I have ever had in a Courtyard, corner room looking down upon 3rd Ave. room size was generous by NY standards. Clean, fresh, and comfortable as is typical for Courtyards. The lounge area was one of the more comfortable and relaxing lounges that I have seen. It had several private sitting areas, book cases, very inviting. Front desk... More

Clean, comfortable rooms. Rooms are large for New York! A 15 minute walk to Times Square and Theatre District. The staff was very helpful. Room service saw I was traveling with children and offered additional towels. Business Center was a blessing as I fought my laptop bag at home. Free Wi-Fi. A 24 hour Duane Reade (Walgren's) is next door.

The hotel personifies Marriott standards; modern, clean, great showers, comfy beds. This one is in a great location, midtown and walking distance to many of NYC's attractions. The rooms are nicely sized and designed for the comfort of the traveler. We were there Friday through Sunday. The super attraction for a group of 10 who hadn't seen each other in... More

One of the few hotels in Manhattan that can accommodate family of 5. Excellent mid-town location walking distance to a LOT of stuff (Central Park, Times Square, Turtle Bay - 2nd ave, etc...). Clean and well staffed. Two Queen beds and a pull out sofa-bed and there was actually a few feet of floor space!

The staff is welcoming and helpful at all levels. On only our second day the crew in the breakfast lounge remembered our preferences. When I requested more hand cream, the housekeeper cheerfully gave me half a dozen bottles. The doorman is an ace at getting taxis even when there seem to be none available. The rooms are well-designed: ours had... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
