This hotel is perfectly situated and within easy walking reach of the tube stations Times Square and the Theatre district. Central park is a good 10-15 minutes walk away. Several good pubs close by and good choices of eating places.

Nestled on a quiet street, this smaller property is quiet, clean and attractive. I've stayed there two times, May 2014 and Feb 2015. If you can swing an upgrade from the small room, it will be worth it. Located near 51st subway stop ('C' and 'E' trains), the accommodations are a good value.

Enjoyed our stay very much. The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped and everything worked. Kept meticulously clean. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Missed not being able to have any coffee or tea in the morning. Found the noise of the air conditioning quite disturbing. Myrna Sassoon Johannesburg South Africa

So I booked this hotel as it was relatively well priced compared to other hotels in NYC during he summer months. Turning up the street in my cab, I immediately had my doubts about this place. Got my suitcase out and walked up the several steps loitered by smokers and people eating lunch. Yes, smokers right at the front door... More

Close to everything, quiet, polite, helpful. What to expect from a classic older hotel. No coffee, but a short walk to Pret a Manger around the corner was worth the trip. In the Broadway area, considered the Times Square District. Eat at the Japanese restaurant next door; it was yummy!

The rooms are so small for the price. It's near the theaters but I would not stay here again. This is good for a quick getaway but not if you're staying for any length of time. The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff was awesome! My only real issue was the size of the room.

Staying in a king superior room was great. Great location. The room was lovely and comfortable. Great bathroom and everyone is SO nice! For two people staying in a Superior King room is best. Also higher up is good too.

This was our 3rd stay at W-J. There were 2 rather minor inconveniences which occurred that management can correct easily. Hotel staff is VERY friendly, courteous and polite. Would suggest that management consider having coffee available for 3 hours in the a.m.

Perfect location for a NYC city stay - rooms were clean but very small - I guess typical in New York. Good safe area to stay. Modern clean bathroom and no faults other that the air conditioning is very noisy.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
