We stayed here for my 40th birthday in 2011 with friends (had to put 2014 as it doesn't go back that far)!. The hotel was great but our room was very small (I know we weren't spending much time in our room but we kept banging our legs on the sharp metal frame of the bed. We complained and were... More

Awesome experience, great location- excellent staff (friendly, informative, courteous and accommodating!). Clean, sleek modern accommodations...can't wait to stay again! I would highly recommend this boutique hotel - close walking distance to Times Square, Theatre district, Columbus Circle, Central Park, Hell's kitchen...right in the middle of everything!

STOP LOOKING NOW! THIS IS THE BEST HOTEL IN NY!!!!! I cannot begin to say how amazing this hotel was. Coming from FL I had always heard people were rude in NY and be careful where you stay. Upon arrival we were so excited because it's very "hip" and contemporary- EXACTLY LIKE YOUR PICTURES :-) The staff was the best... More

The Ameritania is close to all the action in NYC: Times Square, theatre district, Central park, restaurants, subway and buses. Reasonable rates, clean, our room was small but we didn't spend much time there! Staff was helpful and friendly. Location corner of 54th St and Broadway.

We had a great experience in NYC. Our room was always clean after a day sight seeing. The ladies at the front desk were nice and great with directions, and the bellman helped us with our bags. Perfect

We stayed for 6 nights and the hotel was excellent. In a perfect location to get around, close to Times Square and Central Park, around the corner from the David Letterman Show, in the heart of the action and close to many subway stops. High quality hotel, felt personal rather than just another guest. A business centre would have been... More

I stayed here with my mother last year, on her first trip to Manhattan. Requested a room with a view prior to arrival, and was promised such. When we arrived we checked in, and went to our room which had a view of a brick building, when I rang to reception, it was explained that the occupant of the room... More

The staff were very accommodating and friendly, at reception, bar and so were the concierges Jeff and Chris. Hotel was located near Times Square and in Broadway, so I would advise that you take earplugs as there can be some activity outside in the evenings and taxis can often honk. I would definitely stay here again!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
