I am so disappointed and disgusted with this hotel.. the review promised wifi (since we were on a business trip we needed it) and when I got there, there was NONE to be found. My colleague and I were in New York for a tradeshow and wanted a hotel that we could seek refuge in after a hard day of... more

I stayed here with my daughter and "older" mother after losing out on my prior room. These reviews had me SO unsure what to expect. Yes some rooms ARE small but this IS New York. The room we had was amazing. Down comfortors and pillows armoire and a walk in closet. Comfy beds. Bathroom was small but no smaller than... more

My friends and I stayed at the Ameritania for 5 nights last November and this hotel is horrendous! The rooms are extremely dated and unclean, the hallways smell like sick and urine and due to the 1920's windows the noise levels are appalling. If pushed for a positive remark about the hotel, i would say that it is in a... more

We stayed to attend an event at Central Park. The location was perfect for everything we wanted t do, including shopping and a visit to Times Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room (on the 11th floor) was clean and comfortable. I have stayed at many national chain hotels, etc. in the city. They are fine, but we... more

The hotel was just okay. The room was extremely tiny in width, and the bathroom was very comparable to the size seen in Europe. The room wasn't anything special but luckily was clean. When standing outside the room, you could push the door open two inches wide, the safe was not bolted to the floor or wall, and there is... more

Had read a lot of mixed reviews about this hotel before we went there, and was a bit worried about what it would be like however I was pleasantly surprised. The location is superb - which is what everyone has said, but also I found the staff helpful. We had asked for a roll away bed which wasn't there when... more

We stayed here in March 2009 for 5 nights. We were given a room on the 11th floor which was extremly dusty, had smelly curtains and carpet and a very unsavoury big black mark in the bath. To prove that the room was not cleaned up to standard, I placed a line with my finger on the very dusty cloak... more

We stayed this weekend just gone for Saturday and Sunday night...It was diabolical. First things first after a long flight from Ireland we wanted to have a shower - but the water was freezing. When we told reception, they didnt even seem a little bit bothered about it. They said leave the water running for 10/15 mins and it wll... more

When we checked into the hotel around 10AM, we were pleasantly surprised that a room was available at so early a time. We were given a room on the 11th floor. The hotel had a nice lobby and hallways, but the room did not have the same matching quality. The bed was ok (could tell it was worn and old)... more

to start off with, we had good expectations for this hotel since it was on broadway. however, as me and my friend were ona school trip. we were placed on the 12th floor in room 1217. all our classmates were placed on the lower floors, at the highest six. there were no teachers on our floor and we only had... more
