This hotel is small in size but the staff is so friendly and willing to help. We had a small room but the rate was great. Room was clean and neat. It is one of the many reasons we return It is so close to Grand Central and the subway . No need to hail a taxi.

if you want to be central to everything New York has to offer then book a room at the FGCH, its next door to Grand Central Station the Empire State Building, Times Square and the famous 5th Ave. Food, shopping, subways its all right here. Warm and friendly hotel staff, very clean and tidy rooms nothing was a problem for... More

This intimate hotel was a great find in NYC! Warm, friendly, and cozy. The lobby was extremely inviting...wish we had time to sit in front of one of the fireplaces! Location is good...within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful...upon check in, they even offered to send up a refrigerator for my leftovers. One exception was... More

Perhaps because I paid $379/nt (before taxes), I expected more. A room key that never worked (multiple replacements at front desk never solved the issue). A prominent stain on the carpet. Realizing that my room lacked shampoo when I was already in the shower. Breakfast at pub included cold toast for two of the mornings. This is the first time... More

I've stayed here 3 times over the past year and a half, most recently this past November. Finding an affordable room in NYC can be a challenge. You might find a rate $20-$30 less elsewhere, but at the Fitzpatrick you will not have to worry about anything. The room will be very clean and comfortable. Check in is easy, staff... More

Its hard to find a good, well priced hotel in NY without it being completely gross. I had a short one night stay for my honeymoon due to my husband's deployment. The hotel is quaint inside; I stayed at the Seamus suite and it was a lovely, spacious room. The bed was Extremely comfortable and within 15 minutes of checking... More

Had weekly meetings in NY for about a month and stayed at the Fitzpatrick multiple times. Nothing fancy here- just a comfy hotel in a great location with very cozy rooms. If you're doing a lot of work in your room, the small desk may not work, but I rarely was working so it wasn't a problem. In a town... More

Requested a quiet room and was given a back room on top floor. Felt like sleeping in a plane with the noisy building ventilation system. Other back rooms even on lower floors have similar problems. Switched to a front street room despite the traffic noise for our second night. Rooms are flashy ' tape à l'oeil' but expensive at $199... More

Just spent a lovely nite at Fitzpatrick's. Our 30th wedding cellebration came to an end at Fitzpatrick after a wonderful dinner at Bistro Moderne, Daniel's less formal dining experience. Hotel, staff, our suite and accomodations and detail of service is EXCEPTIONAL and second to none. A pure GEM in the CITY. 5 Star rating on a 2-3 star hotel. Room... More

We just returned from our stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central. Everything about the hotel was even better than we expected... friendly staff, perfect location next to Grand Central, nicely appointed room, very comfortable bed with crisp linens, bathroom clean and very functional with fluffy towels and robe. The hotel lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas with fires in the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
