This is a lovely hotel conveniently next door to Grand Central terminal. The staff are so helpful and welcoming it feels like home. Recently refurbished, it is our number one choice in New York. Small and personal.

Both myself and my wife spent a week at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central over Easter, we found the hotel excellent value and very well located, just opposite from Grand Central station. Which was great for getting around on the subway ($31 for a weeks pass). The hotel staff very helpful and friendly and could not do enough to help us.... More

Service with a smile. The staff at this hotel could not do enough for you. In every area we were more than looked after. Quiet comfortable rooms. Busy atmosphere in the Wheeltapper bar. Perfect central location. We walked everywhere.

I stayed here with friends and family(including 3 children under 6) for 10 days over Easter and overall found very little that wasn't to our satisfaction. Location Superb central location that provides for easy access to most land marks and districts either via grand central subway or on foot. Plenty of shops nearby from a 24 hour convenience store for... More

We had a fabulous stay in this hotel in 2013 and it was naturally our first choice on our visit to New York this year. My daughter had emailed explaining it would be my birthday during our stay and was there anything they could do. On arrival we were given a huge room with two double beds, champagne and strawberries... More

Stayed here for 5 nights in March, hotel and staff were lovely, room cleaned everyday it was a decent size and the bed was so comfy. The Wheeltapper bar attached was buzzing Monday to Friday after a working day, but was very quiet at the weekend. Food was nice a bit expensive, but your in New York so everything is... More

Some of the rooms are really tiny....others ok. But one thing is consistent the bathrooms are something from 1980 and need updating. The bed is comfy and you seem to have everything you would need Staff are friendly although cleaning staff can be really noisy...unintentionally I am sure. It's a great location across the road from grand central. ... The... More

We stayed int his hotel for 5 nights over Easter. Had never been to New York before. Ideal hotel - great location to base yourself for easy access to all activities. Very close to underground as well as grand central station. Hotel staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

The rooms in this hotel are very small and dark and dingy as half the rooms have windows into an internal light well that overlooks into other guests rooms. The windows are very old and leak noise and air from outside, our room was very cold. The air conditioning unit is prehistoric and sits under the window. The room has... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
