Stayed for our honeymoon and couldn't have picked a better hotel. Staff are nice and always ready to help. Had us a little surprise in our room when we checked in that was a plus. Travis at help desk is mega helpful and the blonde Irish lady who the life of me can't remember her name. Mike at concierge also... More

I've recently returned from a short stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central. As with most central city hotels the room was a little on the small side. Nice facilities in the room though and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was that the doors were quite noisy on opening and closing. I was disturbed on numerous occasions by... More

Stayed at the Fitzpatrick recently for a weekend in the city. Hotel staff were lovely and helpful on arrival and check in was very easy, concierge was also brilliant when we needed anything. Our room was clean and well furnished, although a little smaller than I thought it would be. It's also a shame there is no free wifi available... More

My mum and I stayed in this hotel for four nights last week. From the moment we entered the hotel there was cosy feeling to it. We were welcomed by Travis who gave us our room. At first we were given a double room but had booked a twin. This was a mistake which was made through the agency we... More

The rooms are very comfortable and extremely quiet for a big city hotel. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, giving suggestions and help on getting around in the storm. The location near Grand Central and the subway can't be beat.

Our room was impeccable, a bit snug, but adequate for what we needed it for- an overnight stay whilest visiting a medical center (they give a break if you are calling on Sloan Kettering Center). Beds VERY comfortable. Concierge extremely helpful, but watch out for their restaurant recommendations, too chummy with one or two restaurant owners I think. We will... More

We stayed here last week and there is nothing negative about this hotel. Perfect location, close to grand central station to catch the metro around the city and in a good location to walk to places such as Times Square. There are also plenty of bagel shops near to run out and get a quick breakfast, I recommend the pastrami... More

This hotel has a great location on East 44th, one block from Central Station and a couple of blocks from 5th Ave, Empire State Building, Times Square, United Nations etc. If your there to see the sights, most of the main tourist spots are all within a few minutes walk. After all your walking and sight seeing the Wheeltapper Pub... More

Recently spent 5 nights in the Fitzpatrick based on a recommendation from a family member and me and my partner were both delighted with our stay. The thing that sticks out the most about this hotel is the staff, who were always fantastic. Maximillian in particular was brilliant, especially helping me track down a lost shopping bag carelessly left at... More

What a terrific find! I recently spent four days at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central and am thoroughly charmed by this hotel. The location is excellent, just down the block from Grand Central Station. My room was very nicely furnished, spotless and very comfortable, with a beautiful and spacious bath. The accommodations seemed quite large by New York standards, and were... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
