Good location if you need to be across the road from central station. Rooms are small. Cleaning staff are noisy and attempt to enter rooms even with do not disturb signs on Wifi is chargeable in the room but free in lobby. There is a small dark bar but is not appealing to me Staff are pleasant

Just had a great week in New York. The staff were very friendly and helpful. What was really nice was that the hotel tried to employ as many Irish staff as possible. Rooms were small but nicely decorated but apparently this is normal in New York. The bed was incredible and so comfy. I have a serious back problem and... More

Let me start by saying this review is based of a $187 a night (I noticed prices can be much higher). I stayed 6 nights in rooms 707 & 617. This hotel is not designed to "blow your head off". it is typical NYC 3+ stars hotel in terms of size, décor, age and amenities (including banging doors and "Volatile"... More

We stayed here last week for 7 nights and couldn't fault the hotel at all. It was our first time in New York and the location was perfect for all the sights we wanted to see. All of the staff are so helpful and friendly. We got upgraded to a suite which was a welcome surprise :) The complimentary champagne... More

Recently returned from a 5 night new year stay (which was a surprise 40th birthday present for my husband). The receptionists and bar/restaurant staff (from the adjoining pub) could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Full of helpful advice and gave us complimentary food & drink vouchers as well as free WIFI in our room. The room and ensuite... More

My husband and I stayed at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central for one night to visit friends who were in town from Ireland. The manager Chris (I believe) checked us in and was an absolute delight. He allowed us to check in early, as we arrived a few hours before check-in and also gave a complimentary upgrade. The room was nicely... More

Just got back from 3 nights at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central and I was wowed! Entering the lovely establishment, you become enveloped in the warmth of this oasis, steps from Grand Central. The space is cozy and hospitable with the feel of something transported from across the Atlantic. The room was large enough and the bath had counter space for... More

We stayed for 3 nights in early January and had the perfect stay in this hotel. It's only 2 minutes to Grand Central station and 10 mins from Times Square so the location is ideal. The rooms are comfortable and clean and a good size for New York. The staff really are fantastic especially Ciara who checked us in and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
