Our first visit to New York and we were immediately made to feel welcome by the staff at the Fitzpatrick. Michael the porter was particularly friendly and helpful. The room was very good and larger than we were led to believe for rooms in NY. It was very well situated for many of the major attractions and certainly added to... More

Stayed here in April for one night. It was our second visit to the hotel. We were upgraded to a nice suite which we really appreciated. The location continues to be great. Hotel is clean. Staff is super nice and helpful. There is valet parking. There is not wifi in the rooms, but it is in the lobby. Would stay... More

Very warm and friendly staff, comfortable lobby with hot chocolate and newspapers, nice room too. Good food in the Pub too, loved the salmon. Located within easy walking distance from Grand Central. We will return.

I stopped here for a four da break in New York. Having never been before, this hotel choice could have been a big mistake but thankfully it wasn't. Two min walk fro, Grand Central Station. Fifteen minute walk from Times Square with the gorgeous Bryant Park mid way. Perfect. Davios restaurant, high quality but affordable just round the corner on... More

We stayed at this hotel last week for a 5 night break with another couple. We have been to New York before on 2 occasions and this was the best hotel by far. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. They recommended restaurants and bars which were superb aswell as their own restaurant and... More

Our family of five stayed at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central hotel in late June/ early July 2014 for eleven nights and had an amazing time at this hotel and New York City. The hotel is two minutes away from Grand Central Station and a gateway to NYC and all the main sights - this was our first visit to the... More

Another stay at this ideally located central Manhattan hotel. Friendly staff, a true warm welcome and a comfy nights stay. The Wheeltapper pub is full of atmosphere and a buzzing place for an after work/shopping refreshment! Only downside, I've never had a decent shower in this hotel....the shower heads are some of the worst in NYC...either it's a paltry flow... More

This was a lovely hotel, non high riser (9 floors) with a good restaurant and patio area. Does a really good Irish breakfast and a fine pint of Guiness. Staff were really friendly & very helpful. We had a front room (208) which was lovely but suffered from noisy street below. Would advise that you go for a room at... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
