If you are staying in New York then this is the hotel to stay in, really friendly staff and very helpful , the hotel is next to all attractions that you need to visit, it's really clean and warm in the cold weather that New York has, ask the bar man about the strange stones that are laid all over... Our family of three stayed at the Wellington Hotel in a Deluxe Double Double Room during a recent quick trip to NYC for college visits. From a location standpoint, the hotel is perfect in that there is a subway entrance right outside one of the doors. Also very much in walking distance of key “tourist” spots in NYC – Central... We stayed at the Wellington for 4 nights in Feb. The location was great, 5 min walk to Central Park and 5-10 min walk to Times Square. The room had a view of central park which was nice. The bathroom was clean and bed was really comfortable. The housekeeping round the edges of the carpet was poor. I'm not sure... More

My boyfriend and I stayed the night at this hotel this Valentine's day and it was great! We read a ton of reviews (both good and bad) before choosing this place and I feel as though the bad reviews were a little TOO harsh! The place was a little outdated, meaning it had an older, more 20th century, look to... More

Booked the Wellington as family members had stayed there previously. Certainly not disappointed, large one bed suite with plenty of room for four adults. A little disappointed that in spite of the microwave, kettle and fridge in the kitchenette area their were no cups or plates or bowls in fact nothing to make use of it! I asked at reception... More

For us this hotel was perfect in terms of it's location, 5 minutes from Times Square and 5 minutes to Central Park the other way. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The staff were friendly and we were able to store out bags after check out until our flight back. Only thing with the bed was that... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in February to celebrate his 70th birthday. The hotel already knew about the special occasion and I had asked for a room with a view so we got a top floor room with a view of Central Park. It was a standard room and looked a little tired but was exceptionally... More

Very nice staff, simple but efficiënt rooms and the location is perfect! The lobby looks like you just stepped into an old gangster movie like "The Untouchables" Inside the Wellington is a little giftshop that also gives touristinformation and handles tickets etc. The park restaurant inside the hotel was no succes, staff is unfreindly but the food is good.

If on your visit to New York you are wanting a hotel in an ideal location with a comfy place to rest your head then this is the place!! After reading the reviews prior to our arrival I was very wary about staying here, although it is true that it is a little outdated it is very clean which in... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
