This was our first trip to New York so I am not sure of the overall standard of hotels here. The Wellington is in a great spot just outside times square. Originally we were looking for a two bedroom apartment but as we were arriving at midnight thought a hotel would be less hassle. Which it was. The only thing... More

I was not sure of the room rate when I booked, however when I checked in ahead of time they made every effort to have my room ready early. The Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The Wellington is near many good places to eat. Left of the main door is a great Greek Restaurant, Molyvos" Fantastic food... More

We booked a family room for ourselves and our daughter (26),although we were a bit wary about three adults sharing,we were really surprised to find ourselves in a suite. Our daughter had a room of her own with a double bed while we had a queen size bed, sofa, table and chairs and a kitchen area with microwave oven, three 40 large flat screen... Stayed here for 2 days dec 23-25, 2014. Luckily i had credit card points to book with because for the price we paid, it was basically for location. Room was small and very modest- we were on the 15th floor and looked onto another building, bathroom was tiny. Cleaniness was good and service was fantastic. However, we were extremely disappointed:... More

Prices at the hotel hosting our conference were high, so we looked to the Wellington. It was a very good alternative! The hotel was located less than two blocks from our conference, and at a 30% lower rate. The Wellington is an old hotel but is clean, well maintained, and it has a restaurant attached, a subway stop right outside... More

We booked a suite- one bedroom, one bath. Equipped with bar-fridge, microwave and small table. Sitting area included TV, couch, chair and desk. Sized nicely for a family of 4 adults. Bedroom had (what I believe is) a king and a queen. Comfy mattresses. Decently decorated for an older hotel. Can't beat the location... Central Park was a 5 minute... More

Very nice hotel, perfectly placed for everything, friendly staff, extremely clean & spacious room-was a 1 bed suite, but 4 people stayed in it with plenty of room to move around, though bathroom extremely small, adjoining restaurant very good. Door man perfect.

After my first visit I didn’t think I’d return to Wellington, I only booked it this time because I got a good deal. This time the room was so much nicer and they managed to fulfil my request. The hotel is centrally located and you can reach all of NYC attractions easily. I would stay here again.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
