The location is absolutely amazing, short walk to Central park and Times Square and the metro line drops you practically inside the hotel. The staff are fabulous, really helped us out in every way they could. The rooms are fairly small but I would guess it's an old enough building and they've done it really well considering. Rooms can be... More

The Wellington is an old hotel, but the rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. I stayed in a King-Sized room, with a very comfortable bed, clean bathroom and a nice big room to be able to move about with no problems. The staff is very nice and helpful at all times. Even though check-in is at 3:00 pm, I... More

I stayed at this hotel in January and it was a great price for the location. The train was right outside the door (NQR I believe) and it was within easy walking distance to Times Square. There are computers/printers in the lobby for use ($3 for 15m). The room was a decent size for NY and the bed was comfortable.... More

We were a week during may.......location is the best. Close to Central Park and 8 blocks to Time Square. A block distance to 57 metro station. We requested a room change. It was not easy but the same day we were installed in other one. Good option if you will stay during the day

I know I'm repeating this statement, but the location is perfect! If you step out the front entrance of the hotel on 7th Ave., you can turn right and walk 4 blocks to Central Park or turn left and head to Times square. And that's just two places within walking distance, there are plenty more examples. The Room was small,... More

I have stayed at the Wellington twice, and I highly recommend it if you are going to be doing mid-town Manhattan and the theater district. Compared to equally priced hotels, the Wellington has larger rooms and a more charming appeal. Lots of eateries in the area. Subway is close by as is the bus line. Many international travelers stay at... More

Excellent location. In walking distance to loads of attractions. Great cafe next door and attached to hotel. Staff were fine with us but heard them being rude to guests on a few occasions. Basically if you want them to be nice just tip constantly. Would definitely return but we didn't spend a lot of time inside as there is so... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
