Just down the way from Times Square, however the hotel had construction going on at the main entrance, concierge was no help, booked via Expedia-was told at ck in they upgraded our bed size, yes bed was bigger than what we booked for (it had one of those awful 'not suede not fleece' blankets on top acting as a comforter)... The Hotel Wellington is in a prime location, a couple blocks from Central Park and a short walk to Broadway and Times Square. Also close to 5th Avenue shopping, Rockefeller Center and many other NYC attractions. There is a subway entrance right outside the hotel which makes it very convenient to get anywhere quickly. The hotel itself is very pretty... More

If you want a luxury hotel, this hotel is not for you. BUT the location is excellent and the hotel is OK. My room was on the smaller side but it had views of Central Park. Not noisy (I was on a high floor), bathroom adequate, coffee shop on the premises and lots of restaurants and cafes in the immediate... More

I have stayed at the Wellington on two occasions. The best thing about the Wellington is the location - near central park and many attractions. This last visit was a negative experience. I was excited to take my two daughters who had just graduated and passed their RN exam on a trip with mom to NYC. The first night we... More

Great location, when you walk outside front of hotel and look left you can see Times Square and it is only a few blocks away, turn right and you can see Central Park, about 2 blocks away. We booked a standard room for our stay. It was very small, hardly enough room for our luggage. Anyway we asked if we... More

No breakfast, no internet included. That's why it's cheap I guess. Rooms are OK. Clean and the AC in the summer is quite nice. Quite noisy though. Close to Central Park is very nice in my opinion. Close to many other attractions as well.

Great location for very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend this place. Went with my younger sister and found it so easy to navigate the area. Turn left out of the hotel and you're 5 minutes from Times Square. Turn right and you're practically in Central Park.

We booked this hotel for a cousin weekend. There were three of us and the price seemed decent. We got in very late and even with tired eyes the hotel seemed sketchy. We got to our rooms and there were no words. The hotel room was DISGUSTING. There were cheetos, cheerios and trail mix on and in the couches. Only... More

Awful customer service from day one, spoke with reservations team well in advance of stay for very special stay, said to email them outlining special requests as was special visit....we did this only to receive a very slow response informing us they would guarantee absolutely zero. PS. Probably just as well as since discovered this hotel is on the bedbug... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
