4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

We stayed for 9 days and felt like home. The staff were lovely - especially the housekeeping staff - the really made you feel welcome and like you were part of the family. The rooms were a really good size and bed was comfortable. Location was fantastic for us as it was just outside of the main crowded locations but... More

I have stayed in a few boutique hotels here and this one by far was my favorite. On the Upper West Side, removed from some of the crowding, but still a short taxi ride away from the midtown tourist attractions. Very close to Central Park, Lincoln Center, and Museum of Natural History. Lovely atmosphere, and the roomiest NYC hotel room... More

Stayed in the city overnight for convenience. I was in town for a night at the metropolitan opera and wanted a nice hotel conveniently located. This one was surrounded by some good restaurants and a short cab ride (less than $10) to the Met. Was actually close enough that we walked back to the hotel. Parking lot conveniently right across... We have stayed at The Lucerne at least five times for multi day visits. The staff is exceptionally kind and responsive, the rooms are spacious for New York. We get a suite since we are sometimes meeting family and friends there- it makes for a very comfortable stay. The price is excellent, the Nice Matin is fantastic and the neighborhood... More

Stayed here one night with our two daughters (8 and 5). Staff was very friendly and the concierge helped us plan our trip to the museum. Very clean, quiet, and convenient. Parking in the garage across the street for $45 per day.

I worried when staying in other hotels that are not chain hotels but the Lucerne didn't disappoint us. Pros; the price was not ridiculous high for NYC during the Christmas holidays. Only 2 blocks from Central Park. And $10 cab ride to most places. The room was very clean and maintain as well as the entire hotel. The staff were... More

Every time I am lucky enough to visit New York City, I stay at this hotel. It has a classic and elegant style, friendly staff and good rooms. The location is perfect as it's only a couple blocks from Central Park and the Upper West Side is a lovely and peaceful neighbourhood. There is also a great breakfast place next... More

I stayed on the upper west side for 4 nights. I have stayed in other hotels in the area, and this is the best so far. I had a fantastic room (I took a Superior King and they upgraded me to a Deluxe King). The bed was comfortable, there was a comfortable work desk, and lots of space. The shower... More

Room was spotless. Sheets changed, towels refreshed with daily incentive. Room service is weak spot. Food is through neighboring downstairs restaurant, Nice Matin. Coffee was tasty and hot but food arrived cold and like card board. Also, Nice Matin staff would not accommodate special dietary requests. Awful and over priced. Also watch your bill. Staff repeatedly withheld receipts with line... More

Nice hotel, good location, good price. The restaurant at the hotel is nice, and a there is a good sushi place and other restaurants near by, The 79th street subway entrance is just around the corner for convenience, and the hotel is not too far from central park too. I would stay there again.
