After a number of stays overvthe last 15 years The Lucerne remains one ofvour favorite hotels. As mentioned by others the upper West Side location is tops, the rooms are impeccably clean, the staff can not be more accommodating. They attempt to avoid saying "no" to most every request. The hotel would be perfect with a couple more electric outlets,... More

Booked this hotel by chance on hotwire for a weekend trip to New York and was not disappointed! The room was large and well appointed, and the beds were comfy to sleep in. The noise from the street wasn't too bad, and the location was good. It's a very interesting neighbourhood. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here for a week in October 2013. I had an excellent stay...rooms were nice, clean and the staff were really friendly. Great location, close to Central Park and the subway is only a block away. I didn't hear any street noise on the 4th floor. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. Side note, the... The location of this hotel is fantastic - UWS, very close to the subway, Zabar's and Starbucks. Duane Reade right across the street in case you want to pick up some water or any other items you need. The door men were friendly. Check-in was easy. The room was big, and we got a great rate. Loved it! The restaurant... More

The hotel is classic and beautiful. However, the plumbing is awful. Toilets don't flush and and one point, our water was turned off. In addition, I had requested a mini-refridgerator so that a medication we had could be stored properly. I requested this at reservation, one week before and again the day before our arrival. When we got there, I... More

The hotel charges a $50 per night security deposit in addition to the paid room charge. We checked in on a Thursday, January 21 and checked out out on Sunday and it is Friday of the next week and our security deposit has not been put back into our bank account. For the fact that they advertise themselves as an... More

We booked a king room to celebrate my husband's birthday in NYC. When we checked in, we were given an upgrade to a suite and they sent a bottle of wine and a card to the room the next day. The suite was very nice and the staff was very attentive, but not nosey. The bed was very comfortable and... More

I've now stayed at The Lucerne 5-6 times & each has been a pleasure. It is clean & well-maintained. All of the staff are courteous & helpful. It is very conveniently located with cross-town bus service across the street, the subway barely a block away and is a nice & safe neighborhood environment just a few blocks from Central Park.

Just a terrific spot on the upper West side. Value for the rooms is the best we have found in New York City. A wide range of rooms, we found for a few dollars more the upgraded space was well worth it. Friendly staff, spacious rooms, clean and well run. An easy choice to stay again.
