I thought I would try this hotel since I always stay on the Upper West Side and love to have breakfast at the Nice Matin on the ground floor. Although more than adequate for a short stay, the single room I had was very, very small and the furnishings were not to my taste. The bathroom was also very small... More

Very nice hotel. Nice size room and bathroom, very clean. Great location a block to subway to go uptown or downtown. Crosstown bus right on the corner. Twenty-four hour drugstore across the street. Lots of restaurants nearby.

We stayed at this marvelous hotel along with family members to celebrate the graduation of my niece from Columbia University. The location was perfect and the staff particularly accommodative. Several restaurants were within walking distance of the hotel which was an added convenience.

The location is excellent - steps away from Central Park. From our hotel we were able to "comfortably" walk to Central Park, Lincoln Centre, and the American Museum of Natural History. The location also allows one to comfortably walk across Central Park to the Upper East Side and the location of the MET, Neue Gallerie, and the Frick Museum. The... More

We returned to the Lucerne for a quick overnight trip. We were again impressed with the quality of the hotel and the comfort of our room. Great location on the upper west side close to central park. We drove into NYC and the access to parking as well as ease of getting to the hotel from the George Washington Bridge... More

Excellent location, close to numerous restaurants, museums and Central Park. Hotel room and bathroom are clean and good size. Comfortable bed. Liz, the concierge was very nice and helpful. Our room was on the higher floor (11th) facing Amsterdam. No problem with street noise. Would definitely stay at The Lucerne again next time we visit New York City, and would... More

Enjoyed a stay in the spring. One block from the subway. Clean, quiet and will be a place we return to on our next stay. Wonderful breakfast restaurant on site. Just lovely. A quiet upper west side hotel.

The Lucerne Hotel is SUPER TINY, even by New York Standards. The "kitchenette" is a complete joke it is only a very small 'dorm' size fridge and a tiny microwave - might pop one individual size bag of popcorn. The Lucerne also boasts the 'antique' heating and air units with the dial on a loud wall unit - no central... More

The hotel is well-located - the best part is that its right next to Central Park and that alone makes it worthwhile for the traveler! The rooms are small but comfortable and the staff is friendly. It is a bit expensive for the services it offers but it still is a good option!

Perfect location at Upper West side. 5 min from Central Park and the American museum of natural history. A few minutes walk to the Dakota building and Strawberry fields in Central Park. A block from a subway station on Broadway. Many restaurant possibilities both on Amsterdam Av and on Broadway. We had a view towards the Hudson River so it... More
