This is one of those old-school stylish hotels close to Central Park. The room was large and well appointed. Two doormen. Hotel staff catering to your every need. Internet gratis. A discount coupon for the adjacent resto which did not have the best food at all, but at least we didn't have to go outside to get there, since it... More

This was our second stay here and we will definitely be back. Great location, friendly staff and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Midtown hotels. Plenty of restaurants close by, and although we didn't get to eat at the restaurant at the hotel, Nice Matin, it came highly recommended by locals.

I just stayed one night for pleasure. The staff was accommodating, the room clean and well-appointed. I will definitely stay here again. Bagel shop across the street, lots of shops spanning Broadway. I felt extremely safe. Loved the security of the doorman even after midnight. My children attend Columbia University and really this is an ideal location for visiting and... More

My short business trip to Columbia University was made that much more pleasant by the warm accommodations and staff at The Lucerne Hotel. The front desk was especially helpful in meeting some late-night printer needs. Good restaurant next door and in the neighborhood. A block from the subway.

We stayed at the Lucerne at the end of an eight day trip overseas. Our night in New York at the Lucerne was the most relaxing of the whole trip. We were exhausted after a long flight and the staff was fabulously pleasant and accommodating. Check-in was smooth and took only minutes. Our room was lovely. The beds were comfortable,... More

Stayed here for a conference at Columbia. Hotel chosen by the university because of its convenient location. The good - 1) Vvery good lcoation for anyone interested in staying in the upper east side. 2) Good service by all staff. 3) Good sized rooms. The less good: 1) I arrived at the hotel and was shown to my Deluxe King,... More

We had not stayed at the Lucerne before, we booked a King Suite using the special offer (every other night 50% discount) and we could not have been more satisfied. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed, including tv's in both rooms, was very clean and quiet (we were on the 12th floor). The upper west side... More

Love the Lucerne, the neighborhood is so pleasant, close to Central Park, lots of restaurants in the area, including Sarabeth's, where we had a great breakfast one day. Broadway and Zabar's just a couple blocks away. Very good service, rooms always clean, Aveda amenities. Although it's a strain on the budget, it's our choice every time we visit the city.... More

Just stayed at The Lucerne for 3 nights. First of all the staff is terrific. I have found them to be very helpful . The location is ideal and located close to the subways. The rooms are nice and the water pressure in the showers is the best! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Lucerne is a special place. Staff, rooms, location, ambiance are all amazing and worth every dollar. Nearby you will find Central Park, Natural History Museum, great restaurants, and cool places for a few drinks.
