By far the largest hotel room I've ever had in NYC. We had the jr suite with a small sitting room with a couch, TV and small refrigerator. The bedroom had 2 queen beds, 2 chests and plenty of space to move around. Both rooms had good light from windows. The bathroom was a little small but well appointed. The... More

We last visited NYC in 2008 and had no hesitation in booking The Lucerne for our return trip. This hotel is truly a gem and the staff are superb! We knew the location was good, but the area has only improved since our last visit. You can't go wrong with The Lucerne for a Manhattan visit.

My mother fell down at the airport while changing planes on her way to NYC and broke her kneecap. The hotel staff were exceptional in assisting us with our special needs. They got us to the right urgent care/ER, gave us information on renting a wheelchair, hailed cabs, and helped my mother while entering and exiting the building. They helped... More

Really nice hotel in a great neighborhood in NYC. The upper west side is more residential, we found it to be a great place to stay as a family visiting New York. The hotel is convenient to major subway lines, so getting around isn't a problem. We stayed in a Queen Suite, which has a sitting room and a bedroom... More

We only stayed one night but enjoyed the location. The hotel was quiet even though it was almost fully booked. No noise which we appreciated after coming off a 16 hr. international flight. Staff was extremely helpful. Since they didn't have our room assigned for the following day we were able to checkout at 1:00. In the end, I wish... More

Except for a first misunderstanding of how many rooms we had in our family room, we were very happy with our stay at the Lucerne. Friendly and helpful reception desk, very helpful concierge service which helped us with tickets, dinner reservations and useful information for our short dtay in New York. Comfortable beds and good cleaning during our stay in... More

The rooms at the Lucerne were a nice size for the New York area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - within walking distance to the subway, The Museum of Natural History, and many restaurants. The beds were comfortable. And the cookie shop across the street is awesome. The only drawback are the thin... More

This is a nice place to stay on the Upper West Side, with good access to the subways, Central Park and museums. It's also an opportunity to stay in more of a residentail neighborhood than the experience you get in Times Square. There is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel and numerous other dining options with a few blocks in... More

We've stayed in this hotel once before (as it's been organised through work), and although it's ok and in a good location, I don't think we would stay again. The rooms are a reasonable size, but a little on the dark side and the decor is a bit dated. Our bath/shower didn't drain properly, which was annoying, but not worth... More

The Lucerne's very good location, service, and price (at certain times of the year) make it a solid choice for those touring the city. Our room was average-for-Manhattan (meaning small, including the closet), but had good storage, a total of nine drawers for unpacking. The bathroom had a frosted window (unusual for Manhattan!) -- the natural light was a great... More
