Single room fairly clean with towels provided. Air-condition and tv in the room. Shared bathroom in the corridor - not too bad - fairly clean.. Excellent position, 50mt from Central park, 5 min to Columbus circle and subway. Quite pricey for an hostel, but you are paying the position in Manhattan.

I stayed here for 15 nights. There is good and bad things about this place. The Good:- The Location was brilliant. 2 minute walk to Central Park and 5 minute walk to Columbus Circle Subway. Many eateries and grocery stores close by as well. Security was nice a touch. You had to show your room key as you entered the... More

We stayed at the West Side YMCA for 2 night on a short visit to New York City. The location was excellent, minutes from Central Park and Columbus Circle but still relatively quiet. The room: We had a deluxe bunk bed room on the 12th floor, furthest away from the elevator, which meant no noise from other guests coming and... More

I travel with a friend and the check in was very late, like 2 pm sth like that so we pay 2 dollars to keep our luggage there. At the check in desk the lady told us that we didn't have any booking with them, luckily we printed our booking (2 single beds in one room and shared restroom) and... More

The location is amazing, literally across the road from central park. I shared a tiny twin bunk room with my mum. The air con was crucial in 35 degree heat, but started making loud noises at 4am, so I eventually turned it off. The shared bathrooms are small (just one on the floor, for a whole lot of people) and... More

The staff could´ve done a better job at welcoming us and making us feel at home. The only seemed bothered by our presence and their attitude towards their job made me feel like they didn´t even want to be their. Keep those feelings outside of work and do your job!

Excellent location right next to Central Park. Rooms were ok, apart from really noisy air con and no safety barrier on top bunk. Restroom facilities were good and kept fairly clean. Adequate for just sleeping in, didn't make use of any other facilities

The place is huge and not really new. Location is awesome right by Central Park and Columbus Circus, which conects you to most all the places in the city. I have stayed in a 2 bedroom room, kinda small but not a problem. Has air conditioning and a small closet. Shared bathroom wasnt a really good thing, most because people... More

A friend and I shared a bunk room here towards the end of November 2014. The room wasn't particularly large, and was in fact quite small, but there was room enough for us both to dress and get around, and the wifi was strong enough on our floor that we could stream a movie before bed in our room. Beds... More
