Recently stayed in the Towers for 3 nights. Please ignore the previous negative comments. Wow what an experience? We were very fortunate to be given a room on the 42nd floor (top of the hotel)- thank you! 3 windows afforded us fantastic views across the city. The service we received was second to none from the reception staff to the... More

A very faded once great lady has fallen into the hands of incompetent managers. No room service after 11 PM in New York City? Why not just pitch a tent in Central Park? Your tent might get a bit out of sync with the weather and not be too clean, but then again that is a pretty good description of... More

My wife and I live in CT, but usually come into NYC twice a year--Thanksgiving and the summer. A few years back we decided to stay at the Towers for its location, convenience of the private entrance and extra space of their rooms. We were not disappointed. Everyone went out of their way to be friendly, the service was impeccable,... More

Dear MMfromCT, Thank you for taking the time to submit your thoughtful review. I can't tell you what it means to read your wonderful comments as to our "impeccable service" (in your words) and elegant rooms. Our team considers it a high honor to play host for our valued guests whenever they visit NYC, and it is an even greater... More

Considering that the WA has a great reputation and my last stay at a WA in Shanghai was excellent, I was shocked, to say the least, about the experience in New York. First, having been up-sold to a suite, I was looking forward to a great experience like I enjoyed in China. To my surprise the room looked quite run... More

We booked this hotel as Art Deco fans when we visited NYC recently, and we weren't disappointed. Yes, it's a little worn round the edges, but the whole ambiance of the hotel makes up for this. The staff can't do enough for you, the food in the Bull and Bear was remarkable, it was warm and cosy and close to... More

An Average hotel that needs an upgrade across the board. There are many better hotel to stay in new York. The room was large but very dated and the blinds did not close which allowed light into the room at night so it was difficult to sleep at times. As this is not a premium hotel at the stage, I... Dear Jeff, Thank you for choosing our "hotel within a hotel" as your host for your length of stay in NYC. As veteran Waldorf guests will recognize, many of our rooms have enormous appeal in terms of size. While I am glad that you enjoyed this feature of your room, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize that... More

we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite in the towers. there was 3 inches of dust of everything. Stains on the carpets. light bulbs were burnt out. when the adjoining room was opened it smelled like smoke. the rooms should have been freshend up before we checked in.

Let me start by saying that the Hotel is very good. However, for the rate, you could expect a little more. I am not going to talk about the good points because that is kind of what you expect for the money. My room was in good shape, well kept (twice daily) and the quality of the shampoos, body lotions... The 3 nights at the Towers were by far the best hotel experience ever. I can't comment on the lower levels other than the lobby which is grand beyond compare. There's a reason why so many people come in just to take pictures in the lobby. Don't be fooled with other reviews about needing to upgrade or refurbish. If you... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
