I enjoyed my stay at the Waldorf Towers. My suite was gorgeous. The Astoria Lounge was a bit disappointing The staff made half hearted efforts to clean table tops, even when asked. Their service was spotty. The rest of the hotel staff provided consistently excellent service The suite that I stayed in was very beautiful.

Anything and everything you may want will be done. The hotel isnt cheap and as you all know when it isnt cheap they usually try to show a great service. However, this hotel goes beyond that. Depending where exactly you stay at the main part or the towers. I stayed at the towers and was assigned a personal concierge that... More

How do I add more stars on this thing? I stayed a suite in the Waldorf Towers and loved every minute of it. We even left the bar we went to come back and hang out in the room! Our room had a full kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, oven, and we were able to call down to room service for plates),... More

Beautiful Art Deco big apartment great confy bed lots of space to move around but needs complete refurbishment . Food very poor Towers lounge is nil just a squalid cafeteria with run of the mill products and service . It was a great pleasure to stay at the Waldorf Astoria. I stayed at a two bedroom suite. The views were amazing from the suite. It was huge and spacious with two bathrooms, a very big living room, a kitchen and four walk in wardrobes. Yes, it was gigantic but very old with old furniture. The headboard of our bed... More

I will give a short description of all our disappointments - We arrived at 8 pm and our room was not ready, (check in is at 3 pm) The receptionist was polite but still we have to wait with two children until they had cleaned the room. - We stayed at a Tower room with separate breakfast room, don't accept... I stayed in the Waldorf for one night in July 2014. We stayed in the Towers which I believe is a more luxurious section of the hotel. Our room was beautiful, decorated in the old grand baroque design, yet comfortable with modern bathroom and amenities. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Despite the tatty furniture and substandard bathrooms the Waldorf Towers is still infinitely preferable to the dark and futuristic hotels such as the Plaza Athene that are now proliferating throughout the fine hotel world. The staff is superb, welcoming, and accommodating reminding one of a great Park Avenue apartment house. The rooms and suites are spacious and unlike the Athene... More

After such a wonderful experience at the Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam, my daughter took me to the Waldorf Astoria Towers in New York for my birthday. Rude Spa personnel in the 19th floor fitness center, who never bothered to show you around or ask if they could help. I decided to order some soup at 11:06 from room service, only... More

Dear gzuzukinmd, Please accept my sincerest apologies that we failed to measure up to your expectations. It is very unfortunate that you were nonplussed with the service you received at the Guerlain Spa, and with our room service operation. This is something we are working to improve, and I sincerely hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
