I came to NYC for Frieze art fair and decided to try the famed Waldorf Astoria is see if it still had high style and to be able to say that I had stayed there once. It lived up to my expectation! I can't wait to return. Its a darn big hotel but the towers lobby is surprisingly small and... More

If you can afford it this must be one of the best hotels to stay in New York. Staying in a hotel that is part of part of New York history with its classy art deco style, great service and first class facilities, helped to make our fist visit to the city that bit more special.

We stayed in a suite last night and it was ginormous. Phenomenal spa and free breakfast included. Much better than the regular Waldorf downstairs. We prefer this location in the city being between the UN and The Theater District & Times Square. Also a few blocks to Rock Center.

This is a fabulous hotel that falls short of the mark because their staff are stretched too thin. You can tell they have cut back too far. Hope they are able to remedy this, as the staff that are there are wonderful.

This old landmark still provides an excellent mid-town location and some nice features, but it's getting tired. For New York, it can be a good value in its (expensive) price range, but the rooms need some attention.

I think there is no beter location in NYC than that of the Towers- you are in the heart of Manhatan, but still away of the crowds and the Park Avenuw is magnificent. The service could be a bit more " polished|" and timely, but at the end you get what you ask for. \We stayed in a suite and... More

We enjoyed our stay, very well kept and clean. We noticed the average age was 50+. Not much in entertainment or night atmosphere. If you are looking for a quite low key place.. This is your place. We thought it was a bit boring. We would consider it once again, but maybe in 20 yrs.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
