Hotel lobby and staff are excellent. Towers concierge Vinmore Willams - extremely respectful, discrete and knowledgeable. His has his fingers on the pulse of all restaurants, nighlife, shopping, and galleries. He showed sincere concern for our safety. He was successful obtaining numerous reservations on very short notice at popular restaurants. His knowledge spans activities for all age groups. He even... More

The residential suites say that there is a kitchenette. Thinking there would be a microwave and a stove, but there was only a fridge and a sink. Room service is expensive. Spa was great tho. The suite was very large. The bathroom had a tub and separate shower. Housekeeping was really good.

Dear Anne S, Thank you for choosing the Towers of the Waldorf Astoria as your host for your recent visit to New York City. We apologize for any misconception regarding the kitchenettes in our suites. Many of our living spaces come with full kitchens, but not all. It was a treat to see that you enjoyed your ample-sized suite and... More

Stayed for our last night in NYC as a treat - what a disappointment. No toilet roll in bathroom, how could that be missed? Remote control in bathroom had no instructions and did not appear to work. There was a remote in the bedroom and even now have no idea what it did. The black out blind did not block... More

Spent 4 nights in June with our 18mo and 4 yo. We really liked our one bedroom suite — it's ginormous for NYC standard, with separate living room, a huge vanity room, and bathroom. Overall the furnishings were pretty dated but I guess that's the "old charm" about this hotel. I would give this hotel a 4 star but because... More

Dear GlobalTravelerM, Thank you for choosing the Towers of the Waldorf Astoria as your host for your recent visit to New York City. It is wonderful to see that you enjoyed our accommodations and the service received overall, but we would like to extend our sincerest apologies for the smoke alarm issue. We know how important a restful night's sleep... More

My fiancé and I decided to splurge on a room in the ever-so-luxurious Towers of the Waldorf Astoria, an intimate wing of guest rooms nestled on the top floors within the larger Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The extra expenditure - which is not exorbitant by NYC standards - affords guests a tranquil private lobby with separate elevators, comfortable reception area, bellhops,... More

We had a wonderful weekend in NYC! We had a room on the 38th floor in the tower with a breathtaking view over the city. Some things needed to be arranged and David really helped us out on this, he is belongs to the best concierges I personally have met! The devil is in the details, and the Waldorf mastered... More

From the moment I entered this hotel, I felt special. Very friendly service, customized to your needs, quick and professional response from the hotel stuff, extra polite concierge. Apartment that I stayed in was very classy, furnished in the art deco style with plenty of room for both work and relaxation. Wifi was fast and stable. In the hotel lobby... More

We had booked the Waldorf Astoria for our 40th anniversary. At the time of the booking we had received an e-mail from them offering an upgrade to a luxury room, if available, at a very reasonable rate of $24 extra per night. We accepted the upgrade at that time. The day before our stay we checked in on-line and found... More

Still, what a nice thing to read from our side of things.... More

Picture it. You take a jet from your home city into New York on 12/31. You arrive in the morning in the "town that NEVER sleeps". You check in at the Wsldorf and meet up with friends. You go to breakfast and head out to do a little shopping. You go skating in the afternoon with friends and spend the... More

I visited the Towers with my wife and spent four nights there. We stayed in a tower suite, the views were excellent, the size of the rooms impressive and the hotel itself is full of old school 1930's glamour. Our room itself was a bit dated in appearance with the fittings looking a bit worn around the edges, that would... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
