I stayed in the main part of the hotel many years ago, but the towers was really quite a treat. front desk staff really wonderful and upgraded my room to a suite. It was a corner suite, Huge living room, everthough it was next to the elevator, I was thrilled. The bed room... More

I stay here every year, and I've been lucky enough to have stayed in many rooms because of this; king sized, suites and this year I was in a one bedroom, 2 bath suite in the Towers. Usually the room is very warm, even if we turn off the heat, I find that in all the rooms. I was hoping... More

Beautiful hotel with great attention to guests! Only bummer was that the sink leaked in the bathroom and there was a food stain on the curtains. Other than that, the hotel is in a perfect location and the lobby proved to be a fun place to hang out in our downtime!

My wife and I have just returned from a fabulous four night stay at the Waldorf Towers. We have stayed at other hotels in New York but this one is by far the best and made our visit to the city all the more special. Our room was booked via British Airways and was spacious and beautifully furnished. The communal... More

We stayed for a week, in a one bedroom king suite, before Christmas. It's hard not to love this hotel. Like an aging grand dame, it greets you with the warmth and ambience of days gone by. Also like an elderly dame, it tries to hide its age, but inevitably the wrinkles show through. We had a warm, cosy stay, but... More

classic old world amenities delivered professionally The hotel is a classic and a world class destination. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Centrally located in NEW YORK. The bell hop gave us several pointers to get the inside track right away on breakfast, routes and service.

Spent 4 days at the Towers of the Waldorf Astoria. I have to say that it is time for this hotel to retire. Although the lobby and restaurants are still in beautiful shape the rooms are not. The carpet is worn and just looks sad. The paint on the walls is bubbling and peeling. Where the carpet meets the wall... More

My husband and I stayed at the Towers of the Waldorf in mid-September, 2014. It was a real treat. Five star all the way. A beautiful, albeit small lobby, but if the size of the lobby matters to you, the main lobby of the Waldorf is just steps away through an indoor passageway. When we arrived our room was not... More

I spent a lot of time researching hotels to stay in for my 5-day theatre holiday prior to Christmas. I compared all of New York's top hotels and narrowed it down to the Langham and the Waldorf Towers. Ultimately I settled on the old New York style of the Waldorf over the modern, trendy New York of the Langham and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
