My son and I just returned from New York where we spent 5 nights at the Travel Inn. I booked this property because it was reasonably priced and got pretty good reviews at Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed by this property at all, as it was exactly what I had expected- in fact better. It offered a clean comfortable room.... More

My friend and I stayed at this hotel from June 7 - 10. We were both impressed...very clean, the maids brought us fresh towels, soap, and toilet paper everyday and made the beds. Service was prompt..my friend and I used the WebTV and had a problem with our keyboard, so she called the front desk and someone was there within... More

We stayed here from June 8-13, probably the hottest days of the month of June. We were so glad to have a nice pool and air conditioning that worked! The rooms are large by Manhattan standards. Typical size rooms, really. Large enough for myself, husband and 2 kids, and the crib fit with plenty of room to spare. The staff... More

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, it was the first trip to ny with my two son's June 5-8th 2005. The reviews on this site are reliable so i had to add mine. The hotel was within walking distance from the bus terminal so when we arrived we just walked there, the desk staff we great. We... More

We had stayed at the Travel Inn three times before. It was what you would have expected from an economy hotel--basic, somewhat dingy lodging and an indifferent staff. This time, we were given a smoking room despite requesting a nonsmoking room. We did not find this out until we actually got to the room. It reeked--a hazard to our highly... More

The location of this hotel was great for Times Sq or SS Intrepid/Harbour Cruises only a few hundred yards walk to either and therefore central enough you can reach anywhere. We were travelling coast to coast so the free parking was a bonus for us. We stayed 3 nights and for £87 per room per night incl parking was great... More

Travel Inn Manhattan was perfect for us.We stayed in a room overlooking the pool for 2 nights .Very quiet.Easy 10 minute walk to Times Square.Pleasant staff and reception friendly but reserved. They kindly allowed us to store our bags for a few hours on our last day before going back to the airport.New York hotels are not the same standard as... I stayed here from the 21st May - 26th May. With my husband and four kids and my brother. We were all very pleased with this Hotel. The maid cleaned everyday, only she didn't manage to clean to top of the headboard for some reason. It was quite dusty. The bathroom was clean with clean fresh towels in everyday. Television... Found the hotel to be clean and simple and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Just what you need if you're not planning on spending too long in your hotel room. Rather disapointed to find that the pool was closed until the end of May,especially when we picked the hotel because it featured a pool and our 6 year... More

I can't describe this place as a bargain, even in the most expensive city in the USA. Four nights came to 710 US$, all told. For this I was given a smoking room despite requesting the opposite, and the entrance to my room was through a separate set of elevators requiring a walk through a...scenic...New York City parking garage. Bathroom... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
