We booked a three night stay but checked out after the first night. As others have said, the heating was a problem with no way to adjust. Don't expect ANY extras here. Internet was $6 a day. Bathroom was extremely small, hot water in shower was unsteady to adjust. No coffee or food service. No extra pillows or blankets in... More

One of the biggest "pluses" of this hotel used to be the free parking. Unbeknownst to us as of April 1, 2014 this "perk" was no more. When we checked in, we were advised that parking was now $20 per day plus (lots) of taxes. If you arrive before 10 a.m. on arrival date, you are charged an additional $10.... More

NYC's best kept secret. Located in Hell's Kitchen, it's easy to find right off the Lincoln Tunnel and a few blocks from the subway. Short walk to Times Square and the theater district. This hotel isn't loaded with amenities and the rooms at the front of the hotel get a good deal of traffic noise. That being said, I would... More

The very best thing about the Travel Inn is it's location. A few blocks away from Times Square and the 42th st. Metro Station. 10 minutes from the Lincoln Tunnel. A Diner/Deli on one side and a wine shop on the other. On site covered parking at a reasonable rate. all good. the rooms are decent size, by NYC standards,... More

Heating is shared but is fine, internet is only available paying separately. A great value to your money talking about NYC. Its pretty close to Times Square and have a little food market very close. Friendly staff.

As a review I just read from when we stayed, I do agree the one awful thing was not being able to adjust the heat. So we too, had to leave a window open which then you'd hear an occasional train and a few horns every once in a while. Loves the fact you can just park at the hotel.... More

My wife and I stayed at the Travel Inn for a three days because of its proximity to Theater Row, where we were helping with the production of a play. Its location is good because we were within reasonable hiking distance of Times Square, Central Park, Broadway, and the art museums. The price was cheaper than other, newer hotels in... More

We stayed there in November 2014, 7 nights for 700 USD per person. Hotel is 10 minutes on foot away from T.Square, all necessary subway stations are even closer. Room was clean, towels were changed regularly, had radio, hairdrier, microwave, fridge and an iron and ironing board. All worked... We couldn't set TV but didn't bother with that. Beds were... More

This was our first overseas trip. Needed a hotel that could accommodate ourselves and our teenager. Also needed a hotel with a fridge due to dietary needs. This place was amazing. It had all of those requirements, close to Times Square and affordable. The staff were helpful, rooms clean. The wifi could have been a little better but we coped.... More

I and my 2 teenaged grand children occupied a room with 2 queen beds with a pool vew. Very quiet place, clean, confortable, with fridge and microwave. I had a car and for US$ 30,00 a day a had a park lot in the hotel, not too much considering I was in Manhattan. In a short walk we had very... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
