Stayed in February for 4 nights great value great kocation and wonderful staff. We really enjoyed our stay room was spotless and we walked everywhere from hotel. We brought a fold up scooter for our 7 year old which worked a treat no tired little legs. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the staff!

Spent 4 nights here in May 2014 and I thought this place was pretty decent. New York was the main destination on a road trip last year, so it was convenient that this hotel had relatively cheap parking at $20 a night. Didn't know that the hotel sat above a subway line until I looked out the window that faced... More

While I have been to New York many a times, it was my first visit with my family. They have been excited, specially my daughter. This hotel was booked after lot of consideration and with a bit of caution. Unfortunately, it did not turn out the way it was expected and that is where a conflict between mind and heart.... More

This was the third time I have stayed at the Travel Inn hotel and it will be the last. My mum and I arrived in the evening after a long flight. We were given a room on the third floor overlooking the pool with the only window in the room looking onto a busy corridor, not allowing for any natural... More

The Travel Inn on 42nd St. in NYC is a wonderful find and I've stayed there 5 times now. This most recent time I had a brand new room - newly renovated just 3 months ago. The rooms are large and quite spacious, especially by NYC standards, and the hotel has it's own discounted parking garage for the guests. A... More

Close proximity to Time Square.....bus station....subway......Hotel is older but very clean and the parking is great! We would definitely stay here again! The only thing I would improve is the Heat/AC system....older place and it didn't have the ability to change the temp in the room....a little stuffy for this time of year.

It's a shame this place doesn't offer free wifi, if you want internet, you have to pay for it. The location was excellent, about 600m from the Port Authority Bus terminal, so I caught the airport bus from LaGuardia airport and then the Newark express to Newark airport. Very easy to get to. The location was great to get to... More

For the location it was a very good price. We found the room to be clean and just what we needed for a 3 day stay. We would stay here again if we are ever in New York City. It was awesome to have free parking!

It was never going to be top of luxury but the place is kept clean. Big fridge and microwave in room is great. Location convenient for all Airports Express bus connection via the Port Authority Bus Terminal 2 blocks away on the 8th Avenue. Loads of good variation of restaurants and Diners to suit all level. Local Deli on the... More

For the price of this hotel, location and parking you are not going to get better than this. We stayed here from 03/21-03/28 for spring break, we went driving so it was very important for us to find a convenient and affordable hotel with parking. The parking was $30 for the entire stay, which as you know, is impossible to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
