This is the perfect hotel for someone who may be uncertain about driving into nyc themselves. I have stayed here many times and it is so easy to drive to that i wouldn't hesitate to tell someone to do it that hasnt done it before!! It is also located two blocks from times square and the subway. The staff is... More

This hotel is very well located for the price. It is easy to get too From JFK just take the airtrain to Jamaica then get the E to 42nd St. All mid town attractions are within easy walking distance. The hotel is old fashioned like something from the 70s which I quite enjoyed but it won't be for you if... More

We stayed here for four nights and found the location convenient. Price was reson able but you get what you pay for. Front desk males were quite rude. We were moved rooms on our last night because of a burst pipe which was inconvenient when we were trying to get ready for a concert and there was no apology from... More

Extra charges for WiFi. Parking advertised as free in site...and its not! Pool was FREEZING while outside temp was 80+ !! Location was good. Its located Near the subway and the square. Its across police so it feels safe. Deli on site is great at cheap prices!

Found this hotel by reading reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed. I like a place with a reasonable price, convenient location, clean and fairly quiet. This hotel had all these factors. Located at 42nd St and 10th Ave, this was an very convenient location to all of NYC. The subway is about two blocks away and it was very... More

The hotel was clean and in a good location. I researched many hotels, and this hotel was the cheapest. Yes, you will have to walk a few blocks to get to the subway and a few more to get to Penn Station or 42nd street, but it is not difficult. For some of the rooms, you will have to take... More

We came to New York to site see, not spend hours in a hotel, so this was PERFECT!!! The pricing for this hotel and the convenience of parking were awesome. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, the hotel is clean and the water pressure in the shower was a treat. We walked EVERYWHERE from this hotel: Time Square, Central... More

Fine hotel in a great location, but you get what you pay for and this is a very basic hotel. If, like us, you are going to New York to see the sights instead of staying in your room, it's ideal for the price

Let's cut to the chase: This place has a great location. And isn't very expensive, relative to other hotels in the area. But the WiFi is spotty, the fitness room is substandard, and the heating/cooling unit is non-adjustable. If you can live with that, great. The beds were small, but comfortable. The bathroom clean with great water pressure. And the... More

I recently stayed at the Travel Inn two weekends in a row. This wasn’t my first time there, nor will it be my last. It’s conveniently located near the Javits Center and offer parking for $20 per day. Both times I stayed recently, I had rooms with 2 doubles beds. There was a mini fridge too, which is great. Make... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
