The Travel Inn is a great place to stay. It's a short walk to Times Square and other attractions. The Intrepid Museum is right there as well as the Boat tours to Statute of Liberty. There's a nice little restaurant right next store and on the other side of the hotel is a liquor store. There's a CVS Pharmacy right... More

Hotel was clean, roomy and comfortable. Bathroom was a little small, and a coffee maker in the room would be nice. Fridge came in handy for storage of water and other beverages. Diner next door served delicious breakfast at reasonable prices. Short walk to Times Square, restaurants on 8th Ave, subway, and hop on hop off buses. Just down the... More

Coming from Ohio access to the hotel was easy. We arrived early we were able to park our vehicle in the parking deck( $20 for cars $30 for SUV or minivans per day) actually reasonable compared to other hotels in NYC. We were able to come back and check in at 3pm. The man at the desk said we were... More

I think this place is perfect for the average person. It is only a few blocks from time square many local hot spots. It was only about 165.00 a night and well worth the price. But most importantly it was safe and clean.

Travel Inn is not a fancy hotel and does not try to be one. The rooms are basic and it has are few amenities. We liked the location, near 42nd Street, and we loved the parking-it was very reasonably-priced with no extra charge for in and out of the lot. There was a pool which looked nice but we didn't... We only stayed 1 night before getting on a cruise, great location, but room was horrible we have been traveling for a month & this was the most uncomfortable & small bed we have had. we asked if there were rooms with king size bed ,we would have been happy to pay but not given that option just told no... The first time I stayed here I knew it would be the one for me. The staff are friendly, the rooms are big enough, clean, and comfortable, and it is in a great location. Also, the rooms come with both a small frig and microwave. The staff is quick to respond with help with anything in the rooms. It is... More

Have been staying at the Travel Inn since 1998. It is a short walk to Times Square and the Theater District. It is convenient to the subway stops at the bus station and Times Square. There are multiple restaurants, grocery store, and numerous tourist attractions within a short walk. Microwave and Frig in the room. Parking on site with in/out... More

We've stayed at the Travel Inn 4 times in the last 18 months. It's a great location if you're arriving by car via the Lincoln Tunnel with easy access and on site parking (for a reasonable $20/day charge). We've stayed in the older rooms and the newly renovated ones - for an additional $20/night the newer ones are great. The... More

Perfect location. Two blocks from the Hudson river where the Circle Line starts and the Intrepid is moored and approximately four blocks from Times Square and thus easy access to Central Park, Fifth Avenue and so on. The beds are good, the rooms are clean and it has a swimmingpool: very agreeable to relax and cool off after a -... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
