We arrived, check in was quite quick, our room was very nice, common areas were very nice. Only 3 small problems: 1: the room service times were a bit odd and it was all a bit pricey 2: there was an instance where we felt the attitudes of the concierge could have been better 3: man driving the limousine outside... We stayed for a long weekend in New York. The hotel is amazing. We had a fabulous suite with loads of space and great views. The staff are fantastic and really helpful particularly the concierge. Huge hotel but very comfortable.

average hotel, filthy windows - we couldn't even look out, dirty service all day long was lying out the rooms. Now we have tried it, but we don't think that this hotel is worth the money, all though the surroundings are beautiful.

A huge hotel with an incredible history. We thought we'd give it another go. When my 20 year-old daughter went up to her room, she thought it looked haunted. Peeling wallpaper, faded furnishings and an "Overlook" vibe. It's got a great location, but I don't think we'll stay there again.

Public areas were beautiful, Art Deco very plush and everything you would expect from this historic hotel. The staff were pleasant but not overly helpful, our bill was incorrect but rectified after queuing at reception Our twin bedroom however was tired and dated smelt musty almost as if it was a smoking room, the shower was frustrating hard to stay... The property has a great location and beautiful architecture. The food and service were hit and miss. No complaints about the experience, but neither do I have praise. The hotel was perfectly adequate and average.

Everything you expect from a classic luxury hotel like the Waldorf and no unpleasant surprises. From the check-in to leaving, a most pleasurable experience and the bellmen are most attentive to every passing arriving and departing guest.

A dream fulfilled, stayed at the Waldorf Hotel, because Helen wanted to stay there. The receptionist was very welcoming. The room was enormous, the bed was enormous, the bathroom was enormous. The Lounge and connecting bedroom worked well for our group. Perhaps Shabby Chic to a degree, but we loved it. We didn't eat in the hotel, but spent time... More

We had a one-bedroom suite on the sixth floor for six nights. When you look closely, yes, it needs refurbishment, but it was still wonderful. The Waldorf is a class act, from check-in to check-out. The suite was very reasonable by NYC standards; however, the restaurants will make a dent in your pocketbook. I just hope that when they do... More

My wife and I stayed here for a couple nights on our 10 year anniversary trip to NYC. It was my wife's dream to stay at the Waldorf and we were able to do just that. Overall, it was a very good stay. PROS: The service is over the top AMAZING. We were treated first class by everyone there. The... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
