Very classy and beautiful neat hotel. We could not stay here but had a chance to visit the hotel and see the fabulous paintings and many artefacts in the hotel. The clock and collections are something you must see. The foot tours take you to show this hotel also give a bird's eye view about the history and the development of... More

Perfect. The hotel made the holiday that bit more special. I mean, New York is incredible anyway but the Waldorf made our holiday fabulous. Friendly staff, great bar (peacock bar). Great sized rooms, spotlessly clean. We had room service and it was delivered with a smile and the food was of a very good standard. We had a room with... More

We got a very good room rate and for $75 dollars more upgraded to a two bedroom suite with two bathrooms. The rooms were very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Throughout the stay the service was excellent and friendly. The decor is very dated since they are trying to keep it in period with the Waldorf's hey day. The... More

Since watching "Coming to America" years ago it was always a dream of mine to stay here. It was a dream come true !! From checking in to check out every whim is catered for, I know it is not the trendiest hotel in NY but for shear charm this hotel has everything. Love it.

I always wanted to stay at the Waldorf Astoria, and the opportunity finally presented itself. It was everything I thought it would be, the history, the glamour, perhaps even a ghost or two. The bed was comfy and I did not hear any of the NYC noise once I was in my room, so I slept well. It was overall... More

Great stay, the building is absolutely stunning. Bull and bear restaurant has amazing deserts. Beds were made for us everyday, there was tap leak and we did get stuck in bathroom several times as the door handle was faulty. On reporting the leak was repaired straight away, someone was meant to be back for handle but never came during our... More

Stayed here for 5 nights, hotel and staff amazing. Breakfast, one of the best i've ever had. Bit pricey if you buy your show tickets from the concierge, but you're guaranteed a great seat. Overall one of the best hotels i've ever been in, also met some very interesting people in the bar, its a must if visiting NY

A historical piece of NY. Time to time very crowded. You can reach many places like 5th Avenue by walking easily. You can see well known stars around. Stay and try to feel different. However hotel needs a renovation.

We were very nicely surprised when we arrived, the hotel was in a fantastic location and nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff to organise for you. The hotel itself, absolutely awesome 😃😃😃.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
