I would expect more from the hotel which is part of Hilton collection. Luxurious lobby but a third class treatment from the personnel. The rooms are large but average and outdated look. It was an experience, but I would rather stay at the Double Tree or the Hilton if I wanted to be i this neighbourhood. Better treatment and a... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at this fabulous hotel and we are not disappointed with our stay.As you arrive it really is a wow factor, the reception area is truly magnificent and better than we could have imagined. Check in was a breeze and the male receptionist Timothy was extremely friendly and helpful.... More

Can't beat the location. The lobby area is old school cool, but the rooms need and update in the worst way. Be sure to check out Peacock Alley. The staff is very attentive. You'll be waiting a while for elevators, but maybe that's part of the charm?

Just got back from a 5 night stay with 5 family members visiting NY to attend our nephews wedding. My wife and I stayed at the WA back 1999 and to be honest it hasn't changed that much.... Not that it's tired, it's just hasn't changed. Check in was seamless, offered the obligatory $100 upgrade to the towers which I... More

Had an incredible stay at the Waldorf Astoria for my father's 50th birthday. We got upgraded to a room in the towers and were met with sparkling wine and other delicious amenities left with a personal note in the room for us to immediately begin our celebtrations. Had our dinner in Pull & Bear the first evening where we of... More

My wife and I stayed at the Waldorf just before Christmas. Christmas time in New York City is an amazing experience itself but the Waldorf takes it to an even higher level. The lobby is nothing but old school elegance and charm. You could spend hours just exploring the lobby with its old photos and art work. The room was... More

The Waldorf is an old world hotel. Stayed there before but this time I felt the bedroom required upgrading and was slightly " Sad ". The reception of course is amazing and the bar really good too off the lobby. Couldn't help but feel they were languishing on their years gone by fame and glamour. Service standards had slipped and... More

Beautiful hotel but ....long wait on check-in was a surprise. Even bigger surprise was that no one mentioned or asked if I had luggage with the valet. I assumed it would be brought to my room. Back from dinner 2.5 hours after check-in. Note and tip still on bed. No luggage. Called Fred at front desk - had to call... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
