We had a wonderful time at The Waldorf. We'd been wanting to stay here since watching Al Pacino's visit in "Scent of a Woman"; that won him, I believe, a 1992 Oscar. However, the place, or at least the West Tower where we stayed, needs a complete makeover. Ghastly hall carpeting that Lucky Luciano might've appreciated in the 1930's before... More

We booked the Waldorf Astoria and were SO excited to experience the wonder that is the Waldorf. Check in was great; we asked for an upgrade but there weren't any, but no worries. Our room was very nice - old, and the chair was worn out, and neither of the phones worked properly- but the room was nice and the... More

The Astoria holds that something which simply cannot be created or invented. Just the felling you get when you walk through the Park Street doors, charming, beautiful nostalgic. The newer and modern hotels may be attractive for different reasons but they really have nothing on this place. If walls could talk!

We booked this for my husbands 50th Birthday, wow, yes its needing refurb in some parts of the Hotel,, but its class, the service is outstanding, the rooms were big and clean, everyone was so helpful. the history of this was just amazing, was 15 mins walk to Times Square, plenty of places to eat , just outside the Hotel,... It's almost like a palace. The sky room and the Waldorf Towers is clearly the highlight of the hotel. It's located on Park Avenue right in the center of Manhattan within walking distance to Fifth Ave and all the famous attractions/stores. Rooms were fairly small and few power outlets. No lights at the sealing in the room (1343), but nice... More

The Waldorf may be old and a bit worn out in some parts but.. The Place is fabulous and the atmosphere is fantastic. We didn´t get one of the fancy rooms but one on the fifth floor facing the back yard. But on the other hand we had the room, which actually was a suite, just for sleeping. All our... More

The room had a smell like cigarette smoke. The wallpaper could use some updating as it was peeling and dirty. Our beds were way to soft as were the pillows. It took over one hour to get our car out the garage which is way too long. Breakfast buffet is good but quite expensive.

It was our second family stay at this great NYC hotel. We chose the Waldorf Astoria for our second visit to NYC because it's one of the only hotels in the city where smoking rooms are available. We opted for an upgrade to a room with a Boudoir, which was a great choice, since we had had a good rate... More

Everyone has heard of the Waldorf Astoria so when my wife and I had the opportunity to stay there we had to do it! The location was good and walking through the doors the entrance hall is fantastic! The room we had was very big, clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful whenever we asked for... More

This was our first stopover on a three week tour of the US, and we were there for 4 nights. We needed two rooms for our family of 5, and had got a great rate through Expedia. I happened to be in New York on business a few weeks before we were due to visit, and popped in to see... More
