Stayed in a suite over Christmas break, surely one of the nicest hotels I've been at. So luxurious! Wonderful, wonderful staff who were so kind and helpful the whole visit. The rooms were very clean and stylish, as is the lobby and downstairs areas. So decorative and iconic, would most definitely recommend.

I have stayed in many Hilton properties both domestic and international. This is the second W/A I have stayed at. To be honest I just expected a little more. The staff was outstanding from the time we checked in until our departure. The interior is grand, large, and spacious. Where it falls short is the details. Up close things look... More

There is no place more recognizable hotel in NYC. Staff always treat you well. Comfortable and luxurious rooms. Make sure to say hello to Sonny at the bar. Great place to people watch. Good launching point for lots of things to see in NYC including Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Station.

The Waldorf was once a grand hotel, but the fact they are continuing to sell themselves as such today tells me they have a blind spot. The lobby and restaurants are grand and hark back to the days when the hotel first opened. I love the architecture and attention to detail of that era, so it is certainly an experience... More

The Waldorf Astoria is just special. For us it was like visiting a different time. Our room was very spacious with two double beds, another room for dressing in and a good sized bathroom. Everything is marble and dark wood and though it's a little dated, we loved the evocation of being in a historical place. But a few things... More

Traveling on business & pleasure to NYC, my wife and I decided to stay at the Waldorf. It was my wifes first time there, and I was returning for the first time in 30 years since my father brought our whole family when I was 12 years old. What an amazing experience!! We paid a small fee for a room... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
