Spent the weekend at the Waldorf in New York with my sister. August is a great time to visit because it is less crowded, great hotel prices and restaurant week. The Waldorf just doesn't disappoint - the service at every level is impeccable. Yes it is a little tired and old fashioned but it is what you go to the... More

Extremely pleased with the entire experience. Friendly helpful staff with a quiet comfortable environment. Was able to check in and out quickly. I am not in NYC often but when I am I will gladly be back.

As a family of 9 in 4 rooms we were very comfortable The staff were very helpful in all our dealings with them, whenever and wherever we interacted with them. The rooms are very clean and the public areas are very well cared for Th ability to enter or leave via Park Avenue or Lexington Avenue was useful

The two bedroom, two bath suite is large, but the bathrooms are very out dated and not luxurious. Our room was not ready upon arrival after check in time. We were charged the incorrect room rate and it took a considerable amount of time to correct upon check out.

We just celebrated our daughter's wedding in New York where we had out of town guests stay at the Waldorf. It is a wonderful, iconic and well located property. Our guests were all very happy with our choice and the service and lodging they received. Special thanks should go to Alison Hamilton who acted as our coordinator and main contact... More

I am a frequent guest to this hotel and was it's biggest fan. However, in my last few stays I have noticed a decline of service and in my last stay it really hit rock bottom. I am an Hilton Diamond member who had E-Check-In. I was told when I arrived the hotel that on Sunday's they do not offer... More

Had a two room suite 14k and also a regular room on same floor for a 5 day stay. The suite was wonderful with a marble fireplace. Excellent. The regular room was very worn with a poorly working air conditioner. Stopped in the lobby to have drinks and light refreshment on my first nite at hotel, host told me to... More

We stayed at Waldorf Astoria last week July 2015 as part of our family vacation in Manhattan. Let me start with Pros: Location and location. It's in the center of Manhattan. Cons: -When I called front desk around 5pm no one was available to pick up phone, kept on trying and after calling five times there was answer from the... More

Stayed for 2 nights (July22-23) with a suite on the 26th floor. The room had views facing east and south including the East River and Chrysler building. The location is great as you are walking distance to Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, 5th Avenue shopping, Grand Central Terminal, U.N., etc. It is one of the icon hotels of NYC and... I was in New York for business and had the opportunity to stay at Waldorf Astoria for two nights. This is one of, if not the oldest hotels in Manhattan, but has been renovated over the years and is in very good shape. I was impressed with the level of customer service and overall quality. I would recommend this hotel... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
