Firstly,it may not be cheap, but that's NYC.There are inferior hotels nearby which are in the same price bracket. This is a tourist attraction in itself, and take your time to look around. The staff are charming and compliment the wonderful surroundings. The lobby is breath taking. We found our room spacious and elegant

We were in a Signature Suite for 3 nights over the weekend of Sept 12-15. The room is dated but offers great space which is what we wanted since we were travelling with our 17 month old. Staff were all friendly and room was clean and quiet. Only watch-out is cost of food and room service which is ridiculous to... More

I have stayed in the Waldorf Astoria twice now and both times I have loved it. On each trip there were a few minor issues I was displeased with, the second time we stayed our suite was noisy during the night due to a banging from the heating system, however we brought this up at the front desk and they... Compared to other Waldorf properties, this is way off. Yes, the rooms are old, but that is not what bothered me. I was expecting a bit old and tatty, but what I received was a cold reception and a dirty room. Funny enough I traveled across town from the Conrad (excellent hotel by the way!) to stay here just for... More

Before we book this hotel, I was thinking that we were making a mistake. I thought the rooms will be old fashioned and tiny. When we checked in, all of my fears just wemt away. The suite we booked was at the towers. It was amazing. Specious enough for the whole family to relax. The kids room was big enough... More

The Waldorf Astoria is a classic traditional hotel that definitely lives up to its name. The service was excellent in every aspect of the hotel including the bell service, reception, maid service and the waiters and bartenders. The room was very clean with all the attentions to detail you would expect in a high class hotel. I have no negatives... More

Went with friends to New York for our special birthdays and chose the Waldorf because all we read about it was that it was iconic and the one to visit in New york. Like much of New York the exterior never really tells the true story. From the moment we entered the reception we new we had made the right... More

Hotel is in a great central location for midtown and central park. The decor etc is in keeping with what I expected for such a historic hotel, yes the doors in rooms appear to have 50 coats of paint but that I feel is part of the character. In light of the expensive cost to stay here there are a... More

you'll enjoy your stay here. the only downside to this hotel is that an early check-in is very difficult to obtain - especially so during high profile events in New York. Regardless, a great place to stay. I will try stay there each time i go to New York City.

The lobby is gorgeous, the service was excellent and the history is almost beyond compare. This is an iconic hotel no doubt but the average rooms are small and desperately need upgrading. No free standing shower in a hotel that supposedly epitomizes New York City Luxury - what is Hilton thinking? This a hotel that represents the Hilton Waldorf collection and... More
