The Waldorf is fine, but even the "luxury room" we booked was nothing special. The fixtures were dated, the carpet was dusty (white socks did not stay white), and our shower had barely any water pressure. Had we not gotten a good deal on the room, I would have been very disappointed to have paid the rack rates.

We were in Manhattan for a week in May as our 30th wedding anniversary treat to each other. We booked the Waldorf through the Hilton website which was easy and straightforward. On arrival at the Waldorf we were given complementary vouchers for cocktails big thanks we enjoyed a nice drink in the bar. The hotel lobby is a great all... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night last week while visiting NYC. Although the hotel is located on Park Avenue and E. 51st street, it is still a bit of a walk to most major attractions. The green line however is just a block away, which we used a lot. Let me start with the lobby which is... More

Hi my husband and I stayed her for my 50th birthday in April. The hotel was decorated in an older style which was to our taste.the staff were helpful and accommodating when needed. Yes the rooms were a bit tired but that adds to to the history. My only criticism is that because we didn't outwardly flash the cash, we... More

We got a terrific deal on Priceline and were venturing into the city for a concert and were meeting up with my daughter who was arriving from Boston. We drove into Manhattan and while at first parking seemed expensive at 50 dollars it included all taxes so really wasnt more expensive than an overnight lot. We checked in early (9am)... More

I'm a Hilton Diamond member who loves the Waldorf Astoria experience and have stayed at almost all throughout the US. For me, the Waldorf was a must during my families trip to Manhattan. It is a beautiful hotel. After reading several of the reviews I was a bit nervous about the service but I can tell you service was prompt... More

This is a historic hotel and great for a New York experience. It's important to note that while the valet parking was insanely high, and there was an expectation to tip any staff member who helped you, this is part of NYC high culture. Bed was great, but no free wifi. Mini fridge was available for free but we had... More

The Waldorf lives up to its reputation as a first class place to stay. the hotel itself is older style, and quite lovely. it has so much history, told in the photos of celebrities on the walls. the staff are attentive and responsive. Lots of history to this building and the staff was super nice and helpful. We were greeted by a delightful man named Toro.
