We had a brilliant stay at this hotel. It was my 50th and so they kindly upgraded us to a super little suite overlooking the Chrysler building and gave me $80 dollars of vouchers to spend in their cocktail bars, all of which I tried and were all fabulous. Loved the atmosphere here. The lobby is nice and as a... More

We booked Waldorf for our honeymoon. 3 nights. The hotel is very big and very grand. The size makes the hotel quite impersonal and in waiting to check in it is more similar to an airport, than anything else. However, you do feel like you are truly experiencing the bygone era that Waldorf offers. This being said, the amount of... More

Not a good start when it took 30 mins to check in due to computers updating at about 9 pm, but lovely lady at check in (can't remember name sorry) was very apologetic. Given free wifi due to the delay but literally no idea why this isn't complimentary anyway-serious failing IMHO. No tea/coffee facilities in room which is also a... More

The hotel has an amazing lobby, but after entering the rooms, there comes a big disappointment : very dark rooms ( at least the one we stayed in ) with humid carpets all over...Antique furnitures were nice, but they should have been renovated, too.The hotel staff on the other hand are very kind and helpful and if you require something... The hotel is truly special. There are so many wonderful details like doorbells at the door and US Mail tubes to drop your mail down to the lobby. The hotel is like a magnificent 1930s time capsule. However, if the powers that be would simply invest a day or twos revenue back in to the rooms (at least ours -... More

We stayed at the Waldorf for a 4 night holiday, and it was absolutely wonderful. Concierge was nice and very helpful, the room was amazing, and we have zero complaints. FUN FACT- This is thought to be the origin of Eggs Benedict, so of course we had to try them one morning :-)

I found a great rate last week while in town on business for an overnight stay. I was truly looking forward to the old world charm and the service like I've never experienced before. Boy was the service lacking. As in the title I think today's service is gone altogether. It was even evident at the Waldorf! Now I realize... More

I did not stay at the Waldorf Astoria but I consider myself lucky because I had the opportunity to enjoy the Sunday Brunch. Name one food, you got it but better served than every other time in your lives! Entrees, soups, pasta, salads, meats, fish, oysters, desserts.... Don't forget to book a table.

The Waldorf Astoria continues to be a challenging hotel for the business traveller. The rooms were damp and stuffy - as it had been raining outside the rooms stank because of the old air con. Despite receiving wifi codes for free wifi, I only managed to connect once during my stay, and I ended up working at the W hotel... More

Dear sammielc, It is very disappointing to read your review, as we promise our guests a singular, effortless luxury experience when they check in to a room at our property. I understand your frustrations with the room appointment you received, the inconvenience you faced with the Wifi connection, and the long wait for reception. These are facets of our hotel... More

The public areas are truly delightful. The rooms - more like a lucky dip. Our first dip was truly unlucky - dark & dingy & looked out onto air conditioning duct. Having pointed out that we had paid for a better class of room, the hotel did manage to find us another room, but not until next night. Functions that... More
