This is one of those hotels that you dream about staying in and it did not disappoint. We paid to upgrade and then got a further upgrade from a very friendly reception person. The room was a plush corner room with a view down 5th Avenue with its own dressing room and massive bathroom! The only downside was that it... More

When we booked the Waldorf Astoria for our honeymoon we wanted a five star luxury hotel and all of our expectations were met and surpassed! From check in to check out the standard of service and attention to detail were amazing and made our trip that extra bit special. Our bedroom suite, which the Waldorf had kindly upgraded us to... Great name & location, but little else. Tried breakfast at the hotel, and we didn't enjoy it at all, more like a fast food buffet.. Hotel rooms are really old fashioned, and the whole thing needs a revamp. The only area that is nice and modern is the underground entrance when you arrive by car/taxi. I would try one of... More

We decided to end our trip on a "classy note" after staying on an air mattress at family for the rest of our trip. The lobby is nice and we felt hopeful that the room would echo the same sense of class - it did not... The shower and sink seemed possessed - the water spat out intermittently with loud... More

This world famous hotel lived up to its name. It was magnificent from the time that we stepped out of the cab. I loved the proximity to Times Square and all of the attractions, yet it is not right in the middle of it. It fit us perfectly.

We booked a "superior room" over Easter weekend & with taxes paid over $400 a night (an expense that my husband thought would be a dream realized). I waited in line for about 15 minutes to check in feeling like I was in Grand Central station waiting to board a train. The lobby was so crowed with people, rolling bags,... More

Fabulous stay at Waldorf Astoria New York! Great service, great room in "Waldorf" style. I e-mailed the hotel in advance and we were allocated a very large and beautiful room in a quite area and high floor. Beds are very very comfortable and rooms are very clean: staff is very efficient and friendly. We had an amazing stay with fabulous... More

We have traveled to NY many, many times and we have stayed in almost every area of the city. We have never stayed at this hotel and I have always wanted to since it is so historic. The check in was very long since it was around 3:30 when we checked in. The room was old with high ceilings, but... More
