The long history and tradition of the New York Waldorf Astoria were some of the points that played a rule in our decision to chose this hotel. Some aspects did not disappointed us: the entrance hall, the reception area are really gorgeous and makes one feel proud of being there. The breakfast in Oscar's is really excellent and well priced.... More

I stayed recently at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC with my husband for a 5 night vacation. What a grand hotel. From the time of arrival to the morning we left everything was just perfect. Great location. Large, spacious room and old world elegance. Especially enjoyed the personal attention from Cameron Green, manager at Peacock Alley.

The Waldorf=Astoria offers the ability to step back in the glamor days of grand hotels. The entryway and the lobby are truly a multi-sensory experience and set the stage for the stay. The rooms have very comfortable bedding and luxury appointments, however for this day and age, there is a surprising lack of electrical outlets, especially three-pronged (grounded) outlets. This... I arrived at the hotel only to be told my reservation was for the night before and I was charged as a no show. I booked over the phone. I did not open the comfirmation email til I stood at the front desk. I ended up staying at the hotel and had to pay for another night. I spoke to... More

We stayed at the Waldorf in a Towers Room recently and our stay could not have been better. The front desk staff at reception were amazing and so helpful. The private elevator for the Towers building was perfect and the location can't be beat for shopping and great dining in New York. The breakfast brunch is set in a beautiful... More

We stayed in the originally building. The location is great! It's walking distance to the shops on 5th Ave. it was during the same weekend they had the Glaad awards. And we shared the same elevators with celebrities. That made the experience more memorable! Our room was spacious but the age showed! Wall paper peeling off, layers and layers of... More

Such a historic hotel and it has the old, grand feel of yester years. Great location and friendly staff. The room was roomy and the bed was comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed all the historical displays! I only had 2 issues: 1) the air conditioningit did not work well. The room was muggy and we couldn't get the temp below 73. If... More

Traveled with my husband for 2 nights in NYC, this was the second time we have stayed at the Waldorf. First of all, I love the location. Walkable to many touristy areas (central park, Rock ctr, Theater district etc) and easy access to subway for farther attractions (SoHo, Tribeca, Downtown etc). This time we were given a stunning large room... More

We stayed here on 25th January 2014 for a one night stay en-route to an international journey. My family and I travelled to New York last weekend and stopped and the Waldorf. The cab driver said it was looking tired but I could not disagree more. The staff are helpful and efficient and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The room, albeit one up from a basic room, was spacious... More
