If you get a chance to stay here, do it! I We got this room cheap for NYC standards through priceline and it was a lot of fun staying at a movie hotel and one that was the talk of the town. The staff from the cleaning staff to the front desk are friendly and willing to help. I would... More

We travelled to a few US cities during our September holiday, and I was anticipating The Waldorf to be one of the big splurge high points of our trip. I have to say we were disappointed. Now we would be probably middle class, so not rich, and thus did not have one of the more expensive rooms, so perhaps as... More

Charming historic hotel in the heart of the City. Clean and well cared for rooms with comfortable bed and spacious bath tub. Walking distance from St Patrick's Cathedral (one block), NBC studios and Rockefeller Center/Plaza, Saks Fifth Avenue (2 blocks), Met. Museum of Modern Art, and Grand Central Station to mention a few. Excellent customer service and the cleaning staff... More

I stayed here for a two day conference. Check in was efficient. Room was nice and clean. If you're doing business in midtown, it's a great location. Food in the restaurants and for room service is ridiculously expensive ($45 for a breakfast buffet?), but there is good takeout nearby. Love the historic photos.

Great hotel with a fantastic history which was amazing to read about and see the pictures all around the place..from the grand entrance stairs to the Waldorf clock in the reception, the place oozed grandeur and splendour.. My new Wife and I had a luxury king room and although the view was a little disappointing, you don't spend much time... More

The hotel offered the luxurious feeling that one would expect of Waldorf-Astoria. The room was a corner room with 2 large windows in the bedroom and one large window in the bathroom. The bed ultra-comfortable, personal attention excellent. The only compromises were a rather small and limited fitness room and chilly meeting elevators and meeting facilities. The location of the... Spent a week suffering in the Boonies for my son's baseball tournament, and returning to the city, my husband surprised me with a 3 night stay in their amazing Presidential Suite. I loved the rich history of the hotel and in particular the beautiful suite we stayed in. I wasn't too impressed with the restaurant (Peacock Alley), but enjoyed our... More

Luxurious, elegant, old-New York style hotel nestled between 5th Avenue and Central park and walking distance from Rockefeller Plaza. The room was so comfortable, perfect place to relax and unwind after long days visiting major tourist attractions, art galleries, museums, Broadway, etc, etc, etc. Also, if you are there on a Tuesday don't miss the tour of the hotel, great... Stayed in a king luxury guest room which was large and clean. I found the room and the entire hotel charming and not at all dated. What a great historic place! The staff, especially Darren the bartender, we're welcoming and informative. The only down side was no free wifi.
