We spent 7 nights at The Shoreham and it was lovely. It's not a posh hotel but updated and perfectly clean, comfortable room and a very good location! The king bed was so... comfortable. Who could ask for more, when all you do is sleep and shower there. The bathroom was large and clean and the front desk was very... More

Good Hotel, clean, but a little small for 4 stars. the facade almost unseen , the staff is very attentive, it is a small hotel, is (close 4 streets) from Central Park, can go walking to Madison Square Garden. Is a Hotel Average, Good for the price paid

I stayed at the Shoreham for 6 nights while I was in NYC to visit my daughter and for her graduation I chose this hotel as it was so very centrally located mid-town and reasonably priced for Manhatten. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room clean and quiet. The fact that there was no free wifi in the... More

Location wise this hotel is great for doing all of the standard touristy stuff. Having explored NY now I would have chosen to stay in Lower Manhatten myself as there is loads more character and charm. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The bar is basic. The rooms are basic. My room didn't have tea or coffee... More

What a great spot for seeing New York! Perfect for seeing all the sights and being right downtown! We loved the room and separate living area. The bathroom was large for New York City. Everyone was very helpful to get to subway and every attraction. Would highly recommend.

The Shoreham Hotel is ideally situated around the corner of 5th Avenue and Central Park is 5 minutes walk away. A Boutique style hotel with comfy beds, good showers and room service. The rooms and communal areas are very clean, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The only negative is the wifi price in bedrooms. $14.99 every 24 hours.... More

Spent four days, and didn't expect this hotel so nice. Great bed, laundered triple sheets, fluffy comforter, huge feather pillows. Stylish room. Small bath, but very updated. Floor was dingy. Quiet 7th floor room behind stairwell, was no problem. Elevators were small but efficient. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Would be glad to return.

Fab little hotel. Clean room very spacious. Central location a 10 minute walk to time square 5 minutes to central park. Its in between 5th and 6th avenue, if you walk straight across 55th street towards 7th avenue there are some great diners to eat and if you walk towards 5th avenue you will find all the top designer shops... This review is a bit late. I stayed at the Shoreham in May 2014. Was in town with family for a wedding. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Very spacious by NYC standards. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
