location was perfect.. 44th street and between 5th and 6th avenue. what more can you say. the room was very clean, which is a must for family vacation in a huge city like ny. also, the cleaning lady was really being attentive to us, making sure all was to our liking.

Stayed at the Royalton, the hotel is across from Iroquois and Sofitel. The hotel has a dark lobby, narrow (cruise ship) halls and dimly lit rooms - part of the hip minimalist decor. The lobby bar was packed with nicely dressed New Yorkers, so I was worried about noise level. However, our room was very quiet and we were very happy... More

From the moment you enter this place, everything unravels just like Jurassic park did which this place relates to. Used to 6 star accomodation this place was like a poverty pack in the centre of NY. Staff have no concept of customer service, any interest other then themselves or on any basic front, the property albeit well positioned is deficient... More

Loved the location. Room with a king size bed, a couch, desk, large bathroom with walk-in shower. Plenty of closet space, a full-size umbrella (nice touch) & selection of shampoo, conditioner, etc. Coffee at downstairs bar in morning was complimentary with steamed milk! Negatives were our room was in a "hole" on the 4th floor overlooking the A/C & electrical... More

ROYALTON has a great location - optimal if you're looking to catch a Broadway show or do some shopping on 5th Avenue. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the amenities in your room although the view wasn't ideal. Next time, please let us know at the front desk so we can take care of you. We would love for you to come... More

I'll say this: they aren't wasting electricity here. The lobby is dark, the lounge is dark, and you probably won't describe your room as well-lit. That said, though, this seems to be something of the current trend, and you may see that other reviewers call this lighting stylish or atmospheric. While we would have liked the ability to brighten (with... More

We stayed in January and arrived on a bitterly cold day. We walked in to a warm, welcoming hotel with fires going and a warm inviting bar. The hotel is unique in design, although it appears sort of hidden, once inside it beckons you to come in and get comfortable. I was recovering from knee surgery and requested a room... More

Greetings Lisa! Thank you for giving Royalton an excellent 5 star review! We are glad to have welcomed you into our warm and cozy hotel on such a cold day. Our lobby is my favorite part of the hotel, especially in the winter as the fireplace creates a romantic and chic atmosphere. We're thrilled that you enjoyed your spacious room.... More

Lovely hotel, very chic, dark and atmospheric. The rooms were classily fitted out with very smart fittings and decor. Air conditioning (which was necessary as it was summer) was noisy and seemed dated, however I was able to sleep with with it on. The staff were all very pleasant and the service very good. We booked through a 3rd party... More

Enjoyable stay in the heart of Manhhatten. Many places for both breakfirst and dinner at the most a few blocks away. Walkable distance to Central Park and Times Sqare, Macys and Bloomingdays... . Missed a inroom coffeemaker though. Room spacy enough compared to other NYC hotels.

Good morning Royston W! Thank you for enjoying your stay with us here at Royalton! Location in a prime position, our guest's have the ability to get from place to place very easily. Our lounge and bar lighting is low and creates this sexy, romantic and sultry vibe which attracts many people throughout the week! Come back soon! More

On 5th Floor Noise from the Street was very loud waking up in the middle of the night. The carpet and furniture gas the taste of the 60's.The weekend breakfast buffet is basic, during the week offer and service are fine. The bar was great and every night there was really something going on.

Greetings Caipirinha48. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. Our property is in the heart of Manhattan which sometimes makes it difficult to combat the noise on the outside streets. I apologize you did not get a good night's rest. Unfortunately we do not offer any hot food on our weekend breakfast buffet but our... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
