The Loews Regency offers a great location right on Park Ave between fabulous shopping and dining on Madison and Lexington. The area is quite, and feels safer then many other hotels I have stayed at in the city. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was large, bright and clean. Nice amenities and appreciate the free WiFi. I was hoping... More

I have stayed here almost 10 times and they continue to impress me. The location is great as well as the renovation. The staff is fantastic and when I made a last minute reservation on a night when the whole area was overbooked and raising rates, they kept it at the normal price. Classy hotel and staff.

After being very impressed with the beautiful new lobby and Regency lounge, we were thrilled when we walked into our beautiful suite. So SPACIOUS, fresh, light filled, beautifully furnished. Every detail was carefully thought through. Jim McPartlin treated us like royalty. Mallory and the entire staff were amazing. What a find in NY City. Location is perfect and the hotel... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend two weeks ago and found it to be fabulous. Is has a great location, comfortable, spacious and modern rooms. However, we now just wrapped up a four night stay with our two girls, and have to say that I have been disappointed with the experience. On the first night... More

The location is incredible and provided a relaxing retreat to explore the city. All of the staff were conscientious of my needs. The room was very spacious and the decor was beautiful. The bathroom was luxurious and aesthetic. This is an upscale hotel that does not disappoint.

It was my first time for me to stay at the Loews Regency since it's renovations. The decor was more masculine in my opinion but the art deco style felt clean and fresh. My room was on the 14th floor and had a balcony, a nice treat when in NYC. It was very spacious however the bathroom was small, and... More

Thank you for your comments iloveboutiquehotels. We're happy to hear you loved your room on the 14th floor and had the benefit of a balcony (we love those balconies)! As you mention, we do have a lot of closet space in most of our rooms. And we are still the home of the Power Breakfast and have been since 1975.... More

I was a New Yorker for over thirty years and then we moved to Connecticut two years ago. Since then we have stayed in a lot of Manhattan hotels when we go into the city. For me, the Regency is the best of the bunch. I stayed there for one night last week and my experience typifies the Regency to... More

We have stayed here several times, and with the renovation, it is very nice. However, there are a number of issues with the renovations that need to addressed: 1) Thin doors, you can hear everything going on out in the halls 2) thin bathroom doors with a glass partition that a) you can hear through and b) when the light... Thank you for the feedback KG_Travel_Bug! It really is great to hear from our guests directly! We will certainly look into installing some additional hooks in the bathroom and also the lighting in the bathroom so as not to disturb other guests in the room. We have received any complaints about the air-conditioning but we can certainly look into it.... More

This hotel was recently refurbished and you can tell it's immaculate. Lovely rooms, big comfy beds, sleek modern bathrooms. We were a family of 4 (2 boys 9 and 11) and shared one of their grand (larger) rooms which was a good sized. Close to Central Park.

Thank you for the wonderful feedback Family10000. We are happy to hear you thought the hotel was immaculate and you had more than enough room for your family of four in one of our Grand Double rooms. We hope you will come back and visit us again soon! More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
