We had an Executive Double Suite with an adjoining room for our daughter at this lovely and iconic hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean. We were on the 7th Floor and had some views overlooking a fountain but if you want views of Central Park you have to pay alot more to go higher up in the building.... More

Staying at The Pierre is like staying in a pied a terre of your own. It's a very personal experience from check in, to the ride up the elevator (they have wonderful elevator operators), to turn down service. Discrete, quiet, anything but ostentious.... Stayed in a beautiful high floor room - not overlooking the park - room service was extraordinary... More

Stayed at The Pierre over the weekend, two adults and a child in a city-view suite. There was a "Suite celebration" 50 per cent off after the first night promotion and we took advantage of it. Suite was quite large, newly renovated and nicely appointed. There was a nice open view of the UES from both living room and bedroom... More

Location is unbeatable, in the lower east corner of Central Park. It's also a quiet hotel, with friendly personnel at main desk and bar. The rooms are a comfortable, luxurious and fully equipped with large TV, DVD player, Bose player with iPod docking station, complimentary internet access!, etc. Also include several amenities like fruits, bathrobe, slippers, Molton Brown products.... and... First of all let me say that this is my second review of The Pierre, my first was two years ago when we stayed there for the first time. That stay was wonderful so I thought I’d give a brief follow up. Once again it was a fabulous experience! We arrived on a Wednesday a little after 2 PM and... More

The bed was heavenly and the room quiet. We felt like we were coming home after a long day pounding the pavement. The first day they brought a variety of fruit to the room, stale but some of it was good. It was my birthday - left a nice card and a pc. of cheescake, decorated on a plate with... More

Firstly, note there on two entrances on two different streets. The hotel is nicely positioned across from Central Park, so park views are possible, though you should request it at time of booking. The hotel must have been converted from an old residential property as I met a gentleman in the elevator (my neighbor), that told me he owned his... More

More than anything it was the outstanding service at this iconic hotel that made it a highly pleasant, relaxing and memorable stay. Amazingly quiet, calm and dignified atmosphere. Well worth it.

Front Desk (ask for Blossom or Rachael), Concierge and Housekeeping are superior. The Hotel is the best place to stay in NYC.

This what the NYC Hotel Experience is suppose to be like; attentive & friendly personnel, excellent location (across from Central Park, next to Barney's), very fast room service, and everybody knows your name by the end of your stay. You won't get lost in the crowd like the Waldorf or feel insignificant like the Plaza. This place is heaven on... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
