After a long day being awake for over 24 hours we arrived at The Westin. We were greeted with a smile and within minutes we got to our room. After walking to the nearest drugstore (2 minutes max) we took a nice hot shower and got in to one of the best beds I've ever slept in. We did get... More

The good stuff: great location, and typical [great] Westin quality/decor. The bad stuff: housekeeping staff that's out to lunch, and CS that can't keep track of them. I stayed at this location for six nights. On the second day (first opportunity to have room cleaned by the maid), my room didn't get cleaned. I'd be out for about 4 hours... More

All the Westin Hotels have been very nice places to stay. The hotel is very close to Grand Central station for connections all over NYC. We were on 38th floor...very quiet. The coffee shop has Stumptown coffee...great coffee. We had breakfast one morning only. The Starbucks coffee is available in your room. Nice amenities.

I recently spent 3 days at this hotel. We were greeted with a smile , the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious for the city. We were on the 23 floor and although situated near the elevators it wasn't noisy at all. The hotel is situated in a good location. Easy access to the station... More

Would you rather stay in a 5 star OLD Hotel or 3 Star New Hotel? How about a brand new one in between. My family just enjoyed a marvelous stay at New York Grand Central Westin on 42nd Street. Its location is a perfect launching pad for all things Manhattan. Rooms are sparkling new with Westin's signature heavenly beds and... More

Just came back from a business trip and stayed in Westin for 4 nights. This is my 1st stay in the Westin and I would rate my stay as average. Pros : close to the subway and lots of restaurants, cafe, Starbuck in the area. Free wifi included in the corporate rate. Cons : very noisy, sound proof of the... More

Enjoyed a weekend away in NYC and chose The Westin New York Grand Central for it's reviews, reasonable rate and the fact that I'm an SPG member (love those points!). Overall it was a great hotel. The location is perfect for pretty much everywhere in tourist NYC. The rooms have recently been decorated and we found our room exceptionally clean.... More

The Westin is newly renovated hotel in the heart of the City, next to Grand Central Station. We had a very friendly greeting from all of the employees. Our morning visit to the cafe was made especially nice due to Harivea. He made a delicious latte and his dedication to his work was admirable. I would be happy to book... More

My partner and I visit the Westin Grand Central at the beginning of the month. As soon we arrived at the front desk, we were promptly greeted by Bernardo, who was very professional and helpful. That evening after we settled in our room, we approached the concierge Eve for suggestions about dinner. She was very nice. She recommended a Greek... More

I relied on tripadvisor to choose this hotel for staying in NY in mid April, 2013. So, here is my feedback to give back to the community. Pros: 1. Close to the subway system and convenient for transportation. 2. Close to most of the sight seeing sites. 2. Far enough from the downtown and all the craziness. 3. Pretty safe... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
