Travelled as a family of four for three nights. Having stayed in New York several times before, we went for the Grand Central location as we liked this area. It was lovely and quiet with great restaurants close by. Lovely well proportioned rooms. We had a corner room which was larger than the double and had great views of the... More

Lovely smell as soon as you walk into the hotel, very clean and smart, rooms maintained very well by housekeeping. We arrived late at gone midnight due to Amtrak arriving late by 2 hours, check in was swift and it was good to get into our lovely room. We visited the concierge desk a number of times with different questions... More

Stayed at this hotel with 6 other families when participating in a Central Park race. Everyone was happy and that's not always an easy feat. The hotel was clean, comfortable, updated and was in a a good location. I especially loved the Starbucks coffee in the room! The staff was very pleasant to deal with. Look forward to a return... Would recommend to anyone, great location, excellent service staff are so helpful and really made our stay, especially Kate in the restaurant. Nothing was too much bother. Rooms are a good size, really clean and had everything we needed. Would def stay again.

Lovely hotel, ten minute walk to times square and very close to grand central station. Rooms large and comfortable and ours was very quiet. Staff very helpful. Reasonable (for New York) price. Would recommend this hotel.

First, I am a Starwood Lifetime Platinum member and think it's important to share that as I stay in a ton of Starwood properties. The Westin Grand is in a perfect location within NYC. Very close to the Metro. Away from the nonsense of the other Starwood hotels around Times Square. Rooms are larger than most NYC hotels and of... More

The situation was great, nice and near to the metro. Pillows were too soft and the room was rather small for the 4 of us. Only had 1 bathrobe and had to call up for another one but they were quick however the creamer which should have been supplied with our coffee maker was missing and despite requesting it they... My room was a corner one on the 19th floor. The hotel has 41 floors and at the 19th you still feel low, compared to nearby buildings. There was however a decent view of the Chrysler building. The room and bathroom appeared renovated, although some details remained very old, such as the wall wardrobe and the included safe. 42" TV,... More

Very busy hotel near grand central. Stayed here during Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Just walk a couple blocks for prime location of the floats. Definitely recommend dressing warm as New York in November is chilly.

Room was wonderful. Very spacious. Great views. Comfortable bed. Fantastic location. Staff was amazing. We loved everything about this hotel. Walking distance to everything, steps away from Grand Central, Bryant Park and the best restaraunts in the area! Another really neat thing about this hotel was that they will rent you New Balance work out clothing, including shoes, for just... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
