I love Starwood properties and its because of employees like Pei! We red-eyed it from the West coast and arrived tired and worn out when we arrived at the Westin Grand Central in the AM. Pei was able to secure us a eairly checki-n (an upgraded room to boot) with a view and free wifi! The Westin Grand central is... More

Visited with daughter and will definitely be back. Great hotel, great location. Found this area quiet compared to hotel in 7th ave last year. Room service excellent and staff really helpful. Can't see me staying anywhere else from now on.

Excellent location for access to the 6 to the UES and quick trip in from LGA. Good sized rooms, especially for New York. Elevtors can get crowded but they're fast. Shout out to Pei at the front desk for taking extra good care of my mother-in-law.

We've just returned from our trip to NYC and couldn't have picked a better hotel! The staff was amazing, everyone was so nice and helpful, especially the manager on duty "Ayan Wilson", The location is perfect, close to the theatres, Time Square and the subway. Our corner room was spacious, nicely decorated, clean and super comfy. we were also on... More

I stayed here for 3 nights over memorial day weekend, and consistently everyone i interacted with was brusque, and seemed not to have been trained in basic hospitality etiquette. Felt like a 4 star hotel with the staff from a 1-2 star hotel. Breakfast was also extremely stingy (as is becoming more typical at starwood properties), with food laid out... More

Pei provided us with excellent service and great customer satisfaction. We dealt with various issues that she had gracefully handled with ease making our stay more pleasant and enhancing the experience at the hotel

Great location, but parking was $75-90 for a 24hr period and the noise level in the room from the construction and building fans outside along with traffic was terrible. There was no complimentary breakfast either. The view of the city was blocked by an alleyway and corporate office's.

The hotel's brilliantly located.. about a couple of blocks from the grand central station on 42nd street.. its a comfortable walk from bryant park and time square, broadway with a number of metro bus stops on the street.. people at the front desk as i checked in were quite rude - but maybe that was an exception as the rest... Let me start with the beds and pillows were wonderful! Yeah! I was nervous the location was going to be too far off our planned travel because we like to walk when we are in NYC but it was perfect. It was great to be close to grand central as we used the subway. I would stay again.

This is a perfect location in Manhattan - very close to subway line 7 and that connects you to many other lines and transportation. I also had a very pleasant stay this time - the lady who checked me in, Ms. Pei, went above an beyond my need and really made me feel like a Platinum member. I stay at... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
